I purchased the Monster Surge Protector to protect a new TV. I wish it was smaller (3-4 outlets), but I have a few extra outlets for future use. Everyone I asked and/or everywhere I researched highly recommended Monster.

Many years ago while shopping for audio from a store named Danby in Philadelphia, the owner informed me about the need for surge protection. He stated that he would receive audio equipment in need of repair because the owner did not use a surge protector, especially during the season when trees or other problems would cause electric surges. I have used Monster cable since 1979 with my purchase of the McIntosh 2200 and my continuing journey of purchasing audio equipment.

Works great ! Needed more outlets but not the more expensive type. This was sufficient enough and is awesome. Enjoy!

Setting up the TV, sound bar and blu-ray was easy with all the plug-ins available on the Monster Power Box. The "surge protection" is an added peace of mind during storms here in the Pacific NW!

unfiltered energy flows thru your house...do you want to buy a new tv because of a power surge caused by microwaving a burrito? i don't think so.. put the burrito down...protect your electronics

There is a saying that goes better safe than sorry and I do feel like my home has another added layer with this outlet that has made it unnecessary to have an extension cord

Monster makes great surge protectors, this is the third different one I have bought of there's. This one is very convenient since it plugs right into the socket itself. Recommend to all.

This perfectly works exactly as needed. However the replacement outlet center screw(which also assists as a permanent mounting of the unit)was not near as long as needed for my outlet.

The unit is located behind furniture so the USB charging ports are not accessible. would like to see a model without this feature and have it priced accordingly. Cable TV protection requires purchase of additional equipment so I have yet to make that connection.

I have exclusively been using Monster surge protectors and AV cables for my set-ups for 15+ years. Like all of my other products, this one did not disappoint. Purchased to go with flat screen TV wall mounted and make sure that cables were not visible. Delivered as expected and worked like a charm.

I just wanted a surge protector, ended up with this one thinking it be better since otherwise I always accidently turn my off with my feet under computer. Only problem is that it was expensive, but so were the others, and that its a lil heavy socket.

I have found this surge protector of great quality - especially the amount of joules and against Florida Thunderstorms. In fact, I am planning to pick up another.

USB + 6 Outlet Surge Protector has 6 outlets fed by a single power plug input. I would prefer two power plug inputs: ie. : three outlets per input. With this caveat, I would recommend this item.

Center Screw for securing Tap to outlet presents HUGELY increased functionality and ease of use. Tap does not disconnect from outlet every time a plug is removed. ALL full coverage Taps should offer this feature. Two USB outlets are very “tasty” icing on this wall-Tap-“cake”!!

Got rid of the long, bulky power strip by switching to this. It also has the added convenience of USB charging for phones and tablets! Less clutter.

Buy it if you need something like this. It is the most serviceable one of its kind that I have found. Monster is a name you can rely on also.

Most families need connectivity in their homes today, it isnt like 40 years ago when people listened to the radio. Well, this is a great way to remove that obstacle and not have a bunch of maze wires.

I have three of these Monster surge protectors in my house. I like that they plug in right over the outlet. So far, I have not had any trouble with them. They do feature two USB ports, which could be handy if you install the item in a kitchen or somewhere else with a counter on which to place items to charge.
