Pros: The speaker does surprisingly well in the bass department. The sound quality in total is not stellar, but it is sufficient. Compact size. Cons: Set up of the wifi failed a couple times before it worked. Touch sensors are finicky and difficult to use. All-Play technology has limited support services. Make sure your favorite is supported.

Don't be fooled. These reviews are BS. This products is downright garbage. I made a big mistake a bought a bunch of these for my office and spent an entire weekend trying to get them hooked up. They are horribly difficult to setup use. The bluetooth is weak and the only thing that i could get to play via wifi was actual files on my phone. Nothing would stream from the iTunes could, Pandora didn't work at all - just played through my phones speaker. Incredibly frustrated. I took them all back to Best Buy and even though it was past 15 days, the guy took pity on me - he said that they're seeing more come back than not. He said most of the sales guys are recommending against this speaker because of the likelihood of a return. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! There are way too many good options to put yourself through the pain.

It sounds pretty good but the setup is rediculous. Monster needs to seriously make the setup less time consuming. I returned it to buy the Harmon Kardon Onyx. Sounds just as good, plenty of bass, and setup was less than 2 minutes.

Love this speaker but I wish there was an output to feed to another speaker or system unrelated to Monster.

It's portable. It's awkward to set up but once it's set up it works pretty good. I owned this for about a day and took it back because it didn't support iHeartRadio directly (which is where my favorite channel is at). Also, i didn't see an option to play from my NAS but that probably doesn't apply to many people anymore. It's a nice sounding speaker, not as good as some of the others but it's solid. If you're really into bluetooth then it's really good. I just needed something more. I didn't want to tie my phone to the speaker just for a radio station. It does support other apps and that's good for a lot of people i'm sure. The built in charger was a great idea and it has a lot of other features that make it great but the bottom line is there are a few things -- deal breakers for me -- that are missing. Add IheartRadio monster, without the need of bluetooth, and i'll try again!

I read the reviews, looked at it online as this is not in stores. Consulted with my favorite Best Buy guy in the store. Even after all that, I probably should have just returned it. I would return it if I still could. The blue tooth is sometimes hard to connect. It was for the motorhome and apparently, it doesn't like to be inside a big tin can. The sound quality just plain old sucks! I thought in such a small space, that it would "rock the house" so to speak. Nope! The TV that I got it for is louder than this box. And yes, I did get the infrared line for the TV and it still has minimal sound. and NO sound quality on Bluetooth. BASICALLY A BAD PURCHASE! Our rolling job box works better than this but I won't want to wrangle it up the motorhome stairs to get quality sound. Very Disappointed.

I absolutely love the sound this product produces but I had a lot of trouble connecting to the wifi. Still use it for parties but disappointed because the intention was to use it as surround sound for my family room

Junk - at least with iTunes and IOS

Bought a few of these speakers in hope of being able to set up a mutliroom sound system. The sales folks and all the packaging state that these are capable of doing just that. Well, that is not the case. Couldn't get them to play in unison. The 24 hour monster service # provided was of no help. They could only help you with warranty service to get these fixed or replaced! That seemed like a bad sign right off the bat! Oh well. BB return policy at least allowed be to take them back after fighting with the speakers for a week. FYI, finally found out that this may be a limitation of trying to you IOS with the speakers - also, they do not support DRM protected music so your iTunes library is not usable. Just a small problem, not sure who at monster thought that would be acceptable to consumers...

I originally bought it because I wanted a sound system that could connect via Bluetooth and wifi, but found out that it can do much more. I was surprised to see that I could connect directly with an optical cable, an aux cable, and even charge my phone directly from the unit. The best part about it is that it sounds amazing !!! Tons of crystal clear audio and tight undistorted bass makes this my best purchase of the year.

I was able to pair the Soundstage to my mobile device with ease. Once i paired my device and played music, I was blown away with the sound quality and especially the Base!! The sound fills my room and provides crisp sound and deep bass without overpowering each other. When i turn up the volume all the way the sound continues to be clear and crisp. Extremely satisfied with Monster & their Soundstage. Now i am wanting more speakers so i can pair them!!!!!!!

SoundStage S1 Mini Wireless Speaker 1. Appearance: SoundStage S1 Mini Wireless Speaker has a sleek classic look. The front of the box is paint sprayed mesh all black all over. The top is where the hidden indicators and controls are and illuminate red when touched. The whole thing feels like an old radio (in a good way) with a very modern touch. I like it better than the Bose SoundLink 3 and EckoStone by EcoXGear which I also own. All in all it is a very attractive and solid build device that fits well in any room in the house or apartment. One thing to know is that the SoundStage S1 is not portable, nor do I think it needs to be. It is much too elegant a device to be toted around. So if you want something to tote around and float in the swimming pool get the Monster “SuperStar BackFloat”. 2. Sound quality: Low Volume: SoundStage S1 Mini sounds better than SoundLink2 hands down. When played at same low volume, SoundStage S1 Mini is MUCH better than SoundLink2 in my opinion. The sound is much more clear, vocals really stands out. The high pitch is better. The SoundStage S1 actually sounds the best at low volume. Soundstage S1 Mini has a "deeper/wider/thicker" sound than the SoundLink, but some how the The SoundStage S1 sounds more "clear" at low volume and my ear finds it very pleasing. When I say low volume, I mean I put it on my desk, close the door and listen to it when working. High Volume: Soundstage S1 Mini can get really loud. You must understand, I’m a professional bass player first and foremost keep that in mind. For my life, I love a lot of noise. But you may not want it. When I turn the volume up, Soundstage S1 Mini starts to sounds better than the SoundLink. I am impressed it can go quite loud without much distortion. I am not saying the Soundstage is not loud. To me, SoundStage S1 is good enough for my medium size room; I don't even need to turn it up that much for it starts to feel too loud. I don't know why I would ever need Soundstage S1 Mini's loud volume. Unless I want to throw a party! Bass: The base on the SoundStage S1 Mini is just amazing. I still cannot believe how such a Mini thing can pump out that much base. Very good. The main complaint I have about EchoStone is that the bass is just lacking. But that again is a personal preference. My friends love the EchoStone when I play it on the job, but when I get home and play my SoundStage S1 Mini my neighbor complains about "too much base”. But I like the bass a lot; it’s punchy like I like it and the music is "fuller". My opinion. But again "sound better" is your feeling, so listen to them and make your own decision. SoundLink 3 has good bass too, but at low volume, I think the SoundStage S1 Mini has more noticeable bass and a thicker sound. Conclusion: 1. If you like full bass and clear highs and mids at low volume as well as high volume like me, go for the Monster SoundStage S1 Mini if you are wanting to fill a Mini to medium size room with sound. If you like a microphone and you can make a call, go for the EchoStone. I totally don't care about those. I want better sound for music. 2. For connectivity and technology, I also like the SoundStage S1 Mini for the Wi-Fi Input, Analog Input and Bluetooth Wireless Input. The SoundStage App is very modern and up to date. Monster has made it very easy and convenient for you to access all of you music sources. I’m able to access all of my music on my smart phone or my tablet and also music on my internet services such Spotify or Rhapsody. Another very cool feature of the SoundStage S1 is that the App will notify me when a Firmware update is available, so the SoundStage S1 is always up to date and improvements are always on the way. If you love the sound already, just wait for the next update…..Good listening!!! It think the engineers at Monster Products get it.

I got a chance to play with this item a couple of times and I was impressed with the way it sounded even when it was at the store. I looks very small and slender but the bass radiators are really good if you want a good bass. Definitely recommend it if you don't want to kill the bank for good sound.
