Bret Morgan uses animation to evoke the mind of Gen X's most famous artist and suicide case, via audio recordings, notebooks, and artwork from the Cobain archives. Plus interviews with the friends and family who knew him best, and home video. It's just sad that even THIS probably won't be enough to satisfy the armchair conspiracy theorists out there. Kurt would be sick to see tabloid culture winning.

I really enjoyed learning a bit more on the life of Kurt Cobain. There is information from not only his ex-live in girlfriend but his friends, family, band members, and his wife. They went through storage of all his items. Took pictures of everything to make this. It was really interesting.

With this documentary, you get a true behind-the-scenes look at Kurt Cobain's life. For all the rock n' roll glorification, you get a sad insight into the horrors of drug addiction.

This documentary is amazing. Being a "child of the 80s", this video took me back to my childhood.

This is a most own for Nirvana fans and music fans in general. Very well done and fascinating.

This movie was a great insight into Kurt Cobains life. This is a must see for any Nirvana or Foo Fighter fan.

Market is lessening on CDs, which is unfortunate but you had a decent selection.

Great insight on kurts life, fast paced and a lot of original art

The quality of the product is fine, no issues there. The movie was just okay, in my opinion. It was clearly produced in conjunction with the Cobain Estate (read Courtney Love). Not much insight into the creative process, not good, not bad, just...meh.

Never has a documentary straight-up put the viewer into the consciousness of the subject as well as Montage of Heck. Through animated personal illustrations, journal entries, and cassette recordings from Cobain himself, this is an incredible acid-trip of a movie. Couldn't recommend it more.

Got movie for my husband who loved him from high school. He was so happy to have this documentary!!
