Well worth the price if you have multiple machines or are not especially computer literate; the geek squad is your best friend. If you don't manage more than a laptop and cellphone I would focus your resources on mastering your devices rather than paying for them to do it. The other perks don't really weigh into the rating when it's greatest advantage is dropping off a malfunctioning machine that you don't have time to troubleshoot.

I've used Best Buy Protection in Geek Squad for 20 years. They've always managed to back up my product exception. Between them and Cox, as well as Asherian, I'm well covered with online support and options. But this is the great thing about Geek Squad: you can upgrade. I can buy a cheaper laptop and upgrade the M2 drive or buy one that has expandable ram and save a considerable amount of money

This protection program is by all means great!!! MY desktop computer was bought in 2020 at the local best buy. The protection program was expired. The agent offered the Best Buy Protection, which would cover diagnosis and repairs. This alone saved me over $700 dollars in one visit. Geek squad was able to help me repair my computer and the protection also covers my new laptop I got this year! 2026. Very happy with the outcome.

Best protection plan of any retailer! Generally pays you back with one product issue. One hard lesson learned; it does not cover marketplace items so you have to pay close attention to online orders!

I did not take the monthly payment plan but did pay for the year with the option to renew for the 2nd year. This is an amazing plan; it not only covers your purchased item at the time but any time you purchase something more it adds it to your plan. How amazing is that.
