I purchased several new appliances for my home about a year and a half ago. I've got a dishwasher, oven microwave, washing machine and sound bar. I made sure to get the protection plan because I understand that things break. The Protection Plan used to be very good but not too long ago they changed the coverage and the terms of service. Unfortunately I had a problem with my oven, the heating element literally blew apart after a year and a half, and we barely use the oven. It looked like an electrical fire in there. But I knew we had the protection plan on it so I called the best time. They told me I had to pay $99 for a diagnosis, then I would have to purchase all parts necessary for the repair. I knew the oven just needed a heating element and I ordered one directly from LG to that cost me $100 and I put it in myself. So if I would have stuck with Best Buy's protection plan I would have spent $200 fixing my oven. So I decided to fix it myself and save $100.

It is terrible that we have to buy extended warranties because the manufacturer doesn’t cover things. But the Best Buy warranty will.

Don't waste your money! It is suppose to get your stuff installed and delivered free but you get what you pay for. I waste 200 on getting this service and now almost 3 months later I am still waiting on a microwave that works and daily get told i need to reschedule. In pic i cant add all the reschedules but show at the time on my phone where i have it scheduled AGAIN TODAY and 5 mins later i get a I need to schedule. It keeps getting pushed back further and further. If i cant get the product how am I suppose to think a repair will go. Also they gave me a return date as of the 23rd of March but they claim for the 8th time it will be here the 13th. That seems real customer service. Dont waste your money cause if you keep waiting they tell you just cancel and buy somewhere else cause you might get it sooner. That was what i was told by a BEST BUY employee. When the microwave is suppose to be compensation for the horrible service on the first microwave that didnt match its description. Read the screenshots you will see the service you get by buying this total care! What a joke they totally don't care should be the real name.

Display is flickering. Stay away from LG kitchen appliances. My lg fridge ice maker stopped working a little over a year after i bought it

Appliances are beautiful but poor quality materials for the price.Stove had stains before the 30 days on the burners. Called to have it replace still waiting on Bestbuy. Frame around Knobs falling apart. Worse appliance for the price!

Here's what I know... if it electrical or electronic it will fail - it's just a matter of when. If you have kids, end of life may be helped along for nay device sooner than later. I've had a laptop and microwave fail within the past year and the protection plan has more than paid for itself. It's a no brainer, and the cool thing is when I purchase a new device it gets included with the protection plan at no extra cost... airpods, TV's, laptops, microwave, game headsets, controllers, etc. Best Buy is my go to place for electronics because of this. Its a Win-Win.

I would highly recommend getting the protection so that you have peace of mind that the money that you spent and the product that you have is protected. Knowing that they will actually repair the product or replace it as piece of mind.

Having Best Buy Protection is peace of mind. They are always there when you need them. In my opinion, BB has one of the best protection plans available.
