    This is like Insurance. It is Peace of Mind, when an experience or event occurs that can detour ones life, without such Coverage. Which has happened to me, in which this coverage was very beneficial.

    I think the protection plan definitely makes sense with large appliance purchases. We have already had to do a couple immediate service items and they are quick and efficient.

    We bough a refrigerator, oven and microwave combination, dishwasher, (all Kitchen Aid). plus a range hood, sink and faucet. It's covered by Best buy protection up to 24 mo. if you are a Totaltech member.

    Loved that with my VIP tech purchase my appliances were included. And would not start until delivery date. Nov 7th on fridge. And December date delivery on range.

    Normally i don't like protection and extended warranties but lately I found especially GE products don't last. The Best Buy protection plan is a good value especially with the cost of any repairs.

    This was included as a holiday special with purchase of some kitchen appliances. So far I haven't had to use it, but I imagine there won't be a hassle if I ever do -- Best Buy has great customer service.

    I purchased a 5 year protection plan for all my appliances. One of them failed and Best Buy honored this and replaced the failed appliance, no questions.

    I bought the protection plan and BestBuy replaced my oven when it broke down. Took a few phone calls but they replaced it and i'm happy now that I have a working oven.
