I already trust Best Buy products to be solid to begin with. For them to add the added bonus of protecting whatever the equipment is or product is a super nice benefit. The only sidenote I have is that the Best Buy geek squad is less than “geek” material. The team uses automated systems and default, security protocols and wiping and cleaning devices. They don’t know how to escalate beyond that. Currently, I have multiple devices, including one MacBook that I’ve used for no more than a month; a Microsoft surface that I’ve owned and wasn’t perfect condition. And two iPhones. All of these have been brought to the geek squad for conditioning and maintenance and reinstall of operating systems only to find that the malware or embedded malware was not removed after three repeated visits to Best Buy only for them to tell me that they don’t know how to uniquely target software; they only have some automated thing that they plug-in to do standard cleaning and reinstallation of operating systems. Just let me deeply disappointed because I was hoping the squad was able to take things to the next level to ensure the product that they sold and the personal information that is stored of their customers would be protected. Suffice it to say, I’ve spent over $30,000 and trying to reclaim my life again. Worth the $179 per year. I pay for this total protection? Yes, if tech team actually got the education skill set and ability to do what they’re supposed to. No worries, I’m on the edge of desperation. I have a whole set of people; the scammers (more local than I care to admit) push me over the edge.

The Best Buy Protection Plan is great. I’m really glad I got the Best Buy Protection Plan. It’s one of those things you hope you never need, but when something does go wrong, it’s a huge relief. The process was surprisingly easy. If you’re buying something expensive or use your electronics every day, I definitely recommend getting the plan. It gives real peace of mind knowing you’re covered if anything unexpected happens.

I absolutely would recommend getting this protection that way when you’re purchasing anything from Best Buy’s you’re not only taken care of, but you know that your products are going to be warranted through them for any type of failure or replacement!

I can't speak highly enough about the Geek Squad! Over the past few months, we've needed the services of these smart, knowledgeable and patient young men and women. (huge emphasis on patient!!) Never once were we made to feel as though our concerns were anything less than valid. Each and every GS member took as much time (and more) to help us and answer every single question to our satisfaction!!!

It’s always a good idea to have protection for your electronics. You could never be safe enough. Whether it’s electrical storm or water damage. Geek squad protection can save you from spending hundreds of dollars or from having to purchase another tv or electronics.
