So now in order to get a GoPro taken care of under the Total Tech warranty, its a $50 service charge. Totally not worth spending $180 per year knly to have to spend $50 to get things serviced under “warranty”

I have long been a Roomba owner having bought 7 of them for myself, family and friends over the years and all of them bought at Best Buy. I have bought and tried others and for me, iRobot seems to be one of, if not the best robotic vacuums and auto mopping units available today. So when it came time to upgrade the upstairs vacuum and having recently tested and now own a Roomba iRobot 405 Combo taking good care of our downstairs area I decided on the Roomba iRobot 505 Combo and I can say without hesitation that it is yet another home run by the folks at Roomba! The vacuuming power is...well...even more POWERFUL. The LiDAR (Light Detection And Radar) and front mounted camera work just as outstanding as the ones on our Roomba iRobot 405 Combo and while I have yet to have the Roomba iRobot 505 Combo wash the bathroom tile and the wood floors of the hallway sections of our upstairs my experience to date with the 405 Combo we have downstairs is that it will do so superbly! My Roomba j7(7550) is still running superbly keeping my daughter's home clean and it is several years old and I regularly clean and replace brushes and have only done the battery once so I know Roomba makes a quality product! I am a retired Electronics Technician so I know the importance of preventative maintenance and every Roomba I have bought has been very easy to maintain, including replacement of air filters and the vacuum bags in the home station of self-emptying models. The new application is easy to use and I simply followed the instructions to add it to my system and it has been working without any problems so far and in my estimation I won't have any problems with it getting stuck anywhere due to the LiDAR and camera. There are also front sensors mounted on the bottom to detect stairs so it won't accidentally take a tumble and I have NEVER had a Roomba fall down the stairs in all the years I have owned them. They have been outstanding in every way for us! Years ago my j7 model took well over an hour and half or so to map out our home's downstairs and about the same for the upstairs when I moved it there but with LiDAR the same mapping took only 10 or so minutes and the unit was back at home base waiting for me to send it on its maiden cleaning voyage! That is fantastic and while the 505 Combo has front bumpers for collision and mapping it rarely needs them, again thanks to the advanced LiDAR and the camera is there to monitor for cables or pet waste (poop!) and you can turn the camera off or on in the application or let it send you a photo of what it encounters during cleaning. I do not take lightly writing a review and I can honestly recommend the Roomba iRobot 505 Combo for anyone wanting a quality, easy to use and maintain, reliable vacuum/mop.

I liked having the option to pay monthly instead of all at once, which made the coverage feel more manageable. What I like most is the added reassurance. It is nice knowing there is extra protection in place for up to 24 months in case something comes up after the standard coverage period. I’ve used the monthly Best Buy Protection on a couple devices now and it’s been worth it for the peace of mind alone. I like that it covers accidental damage and not just manufacturer issues, because let’s be honest that’s usually what happens. Signing up was quick at checkout and managing it through my account has been pretty simple. I actually had to file one claim and the process was smoother than I expected, no huge runaround. The only thing is the monthly cost can sneak up on you if you keep it the full 24 months, so you definitely want to think about the value of what you’re protecting. For more expensive electronics though, I’d rather have it than risk paying out of pocket.
