If you are wondering if cell phone protection is worth the money....let me ask: Have you priced a new smartphone lately? We have an S6 edge...if costs about 800 bucks to buy a new one, an at 6 bucks a month for the plan, it takes a long time to get to the price of just buying a phone! So yep....it is worth it!

Monthly Drops, Spills and Defects (Accidental) Protection is a necessity especially when you have kids. My son cracked his phone literally as soon as we bought it. We barely made it out of the store. I will pay for protection as I've been shown time and time again that it is needed.

When I cracked my screen last spring, I was very glad I had this protection! The appointment set up was simple, the staff was friendly and knowledgable, the repair was swift, and they used factory parts - same as the original phone. 10/10

this is a ncsesary evil now a days... i had my s5 broke on me after 1 year and if it wasnt for this, id be out of luck and would have had to pay full price ... definately recomend this.

This is a much better plan than any carrier provides, most of which is Asurion. The monthly cosy alone is $3-$5 cheaper, and if you happen to need to use the insurance through your carrier is usually $200, but with protection plan it's noi where beast that and an easier process.

The Geek Squad truly helped a lot but making sure that my items were working fine I didn't have any more problems with my electronic equipment. Thanks for all the support and protection to make sure that my items was taken care of.

Since the note 8 has a built in battery and in the long run it'll be good to have this. They have a free battery replacement over the course of 2 years. I think it is worth it. I mean this is phone close to a grand. They have an upgraded version, but that includes lost and theft.

I had to change my billing card because of identity theft, and they didn’t even give me a chance to change it in the system. They turned my warranty off with no warning. I forgot it was hooked to my card, and of course this wasn’t my first priority in dealing with identity theft. I tried to go into Best Buy geek squad to fix my phone, and they refused service because it expired. They also refused to reinstate it due to you basically having one warranty and that’s it... ridiculous and I will probably not do geek squad again.

the geek squad protection on your phone allows for in store swapping of device and accessories the only draw back to the current plan is that the deductible has been increased but its still cheaper then going though most carriers

I somehow managed to break the camera on a phone that was just released 2 days prior. Because the item was so new it was a hassle to get the replacement to go thru. The employees were very nice and worked to get everything taken care ofas quickly as possible.

Staff is friendly at the best buy Tri-cities. Unfortunately the pixel 3 that was insured would have had to be shipped out and they didn't offer a replacement or loaner phone. The phone was apparently not available in the store, even so they had some unlocked ones in the cage, and according to the manager, because of the system they could not refund and replace with a pixel 4 at the time, even so they would have been the same price. Hopefully they're better with other products.

I encourage everyone to drop carrier insurance and go with geek squad. Affordable and awesome customer service. My son dropped his iPhone and broke the screen. Had a new phone shipped to us same day. No hassles and you can actually talk to a live person.

After dropping a considerable amount of $ for a cell phone, it sure provides peace of mind to have rhus protection in place (which they explained to me is broader protection than other options out there.)

I always make sure to purchase protection on items that I know can potentially have an issue and no one else can fix right away and will cost an arm and a leg so having this service is a plus.

I had a hard time justifying this expense at first. However, over the years, our family has had 3 claims. The service was quick and we were very satisfied. That's why we continue to get this insurance.

The Geek Suad at Best Buy gives me peace of mind. They have always been able to fix my computer issues and are friendly and professional. Appointments are made in a timely manner. I recommend their services. Worth the cost!

Geek Squad protection gives me the peace of mind that if anything goes wrong, Best Buy will do what's appropriate to resolve the problem or replace the item. Well worth the nominal monthly fee.

I know people are always skeptical when it comes to insurance coverage. If you are spending $500 or more on an item, I think it's more than necessary. Even if nothing goes wrong it's good to have for piece of mind. I always recommend it

This Accidental Protection GSP Phone plan is great! I buy GSP for everything I buy from best buy and when I need to make a claim, it is easy and simple to deal with...I love knowing I have the extra security & protection on behind my phone with this plan.

I am a big fan of the Geek Squad protection plans for my electronic devices. Hope I never have to use it but if I do, I know from experience that The Geek Squad will do what it takes to keep me happy and my phone up and running!
