    Awesome Swedish Night Light Speaker

This is just a neat looking speaking, and has that swedish look. The clean lines and wood accents. Its very large, but for the size its very light and mostly plastic, but it looks clean and very cool. The sound is great and the included remote is a nice touch. My tween daughter has been using it as not only a speaker but as a night light. It has multiple modes of the RGB lighting and most of them can be dimmed or brightened as required. As a speaker the sounds is good. Its not amazing, but from a Phone streaming music/podcasts it can fill the room and provide an enjoyable sound. It is also splash proof which is nice and its light enough to be easy to move. Overall its a great speaker, esp. if you like the look and want something to setup on a tabletop and give some mode lighting. This is a great speaker for a kids room, who wants to stream music and have a "cool" looking room.

When this came in the mail, I wasn't sure what I thought of it. Very modern design and a little large, almost like a basketball side. The sound is quality and comes through the speaker really well. I love the remote and how you can change the ambience with the lights, it's so much fun! It was easy to bluetooth it to my phone. Chic look and good wuality; I'd definitely recommend it!

So overall, this is an interesting one. The Lantern itself is relatively large, and good sized. And BRIGHT. On maximum brightness you get some great color, that you can tweak. Different shades, it will rotate through different colors, go to the beat. You can dim and overall, this is a GOOD lantern. Now for the music, it does get LOUD at max volume, which is good.... but it lacks base. So when it gets loud, it just doesn't sound good. and depending on what you are playing, the speaker portion may leave you wanting a little more. My biggest issue with it, is the WEIGHT of the unit. It is VERY light. And my concern (can't really test this yet because of the season), that when I take this outside to my deck.. and put it on the table, the wind is going to blow it up and down the table. It has a large surface area, and just a slight tap on it, will get it to move. That could cause problems while eating out doors, or using it as a center piece... as if the wind kicks, up it can slide off the table, or into drinks and bottles. So while it is nice.. I would consider hanging it on a hook, and enjoying the sounds and lights that way.

This speaker is fairly decent, it gives out plenty of sounds for me to hear it throughout the house as long as I put it in the middle of the house. It does not get too loud, but at it's loudest setting, it does not distort the music. The remote is a great idea, but you have to be within 10 feet for it to work correctly (Remote), that is the reason for the four-star. Overall it works very well. The handle is neat, I placed wire and a D ring on it so I can hang it virtually anywhere.

The Mooni - Portable Speaker Lantern looks great, is lightweight and sounds great. One think that I really like about the Mooni is that it fits in with the modern interior design of homes today. Placed on a corner table, you can't even tell that it is a speaker and it still fits in with the home decor. When it comes to sound, it just right to lighten the mood and enjoy the night. Another really cool feature are the lighting options of the speaker. You can choose from a variety of colors to set the mood. Best of all, it comes with a control that allows you to set things up from anywhere in the room. Overall, the Mooni - Portable Speaker Lantern has good sound and feels right in my home.

    Good design, poor execution

This speaker has a great concept which helps it stand out in a crowd. The lighting feature actually makes it very appealing as a nice little outdoor speaker for backyard use. However, everything else about this speaker was just executed very poorly. First off, it does not have very good sound quality, especially for its size. When I fist received the box, I was quite surprised at how large it actually is. So I was expecting somewhat higher quality sound, but when I finally turned it one for the first time, I was. very disappointed. I really don't know why it is so large. It's mostly just empty space. It sounds like a cheap speaker playing in a plastic bucket to amplify some of the sound. And it does not get very loud at all. So for outdoor use, it is not a great choice. Setup and use makes this thing a chore to use. Most bluetooth products are really easy to setup, but with this, the instructions aren't really clear, and downright incorrect in some parts. The remote doesn't work exactly how it states. There are two power buttons, one is a "main" power button, which is supposed to turn on both the speaker and the lights. And then a "bluetooth" power button, which just turns on the speaker and not the lights. However, in practice I found that you always have to first turn on the main power and then the bluetooth power. And even after all that, I still have to go into my phone's bluetooth setting and tell it to connect. This is the only modern bluetooth device I have ever had to manually connect each time I turn it on. Next, the instructions don't mention it, but if you hold the right button on the remote, it pauses the music. This is a nice feature to have, because as I said, the instructions only mentioned fast forward and rewind, and didn't say anything about play or pause. However, in practice, the buttons are way too sensitive, and sometimes when I am just trying to skip a song, I end up pausing, and not realizing it. It can get pretty annoying. Lastly, the lighting effects. They give you a handful of different lighting effects, or you can just keep it on solid colors. I would prefer maybe being able to sync the lights to the beat of the music or something, but oh well. What they give is adequate. But again, as an outdoor speaker, the lights don't get very bright, so I wouldn't be too excited about that if you want to use this outside. In conclusion, this was a great concept for a speaker. It looks great, and having the lights make this a nice little accent piece for a family gathering. However, as a speaker it just fails. It is difficult to use, and doesn't sound good. Overall, it is like someone threw a cheap dollar store speaker in a plastic bucket with a color changing LED.

This little speaker is a nice mood setter. Placed it on the porch and put on some relaxing tunes. It can actually get pretty loud, but the colors that you can change with it make it really relaxing. The wooden handle make it an elegant pice to add to any decor setup. The added feature of it being splash proof really helps leaving it outside and can ensure light rain as I accidentally tested out.

Having tried several portable speakers I have to say that this unit provides good sound when compared to standard speakers. The ability to have light is useful as well for use outside at night. I have found the battery to last a long time between charges. Finally, it looks good too! Highly recommended.

    Fun Lights - Weak Sound

The Mooni Portable Lantern Speaker could have been so much better. As-is, it's merely ok. The lights are nice. But the sound is anemic, at best. For the size, you'd think it would have decent sound. Nope. I guess they have a small speaker hidden inside this lantern style base. Higher ranges sound tinny. Lower ranges sound washed out. It is decent at the mids, though. Overall, I cannot recommend this a serious speaker. I realize it's a novelty speaker, but there are other BT speakers with various lighting packages that sound dramatically better, and even have cooler tricks. For instance, while a remote is nice (I guess), an app would have been better. Even better would have been integration with smart controls, like Google Assistant or Alexa. It is at least mildly water resistant, but it is not waterproof. Granted, this sells for under $100. But for the sound and features, it still seems overpriced. Oh, and a red light stays on while charging until fully charged, so good luck relaxing at night if you plan to keep it in your room. On the bright side, my teenage daughter enjoys playing with the lights.

This is an interesting product. Although it does not come with a charger, the USB cable is extra long which is refreshing considering most things come with one that is like 4 inches. As for the charger I have lots laying around so that is not a problem. The light this produces is pleasant but not enough to read by. It will charge while on which is a nice feature. I got well over 10 hours of play time with the light on. The remote has a nice hand feel but it would be nice if I could control it with my phone. I am using this as a night light. We have had power outages lately and it provides just the right amount of light so I dont trip in the dark. I also really like the look. As for sound it is not powerful but pleasant. Great for quite music while I am working.

Cool Decor and Entertainment with average Speaker

I wanted to love this product because its a very fun and stylish idea... however the speaker puts a damper on the package deal for me. So lets focus on the good. Its very easy to use, connects easily via Bluetooth and has a handy remote. The kids absolutely love the lights and the different combinations of the 10 colors you can turn on at different levels and different patterns. Its great for entertaining as a lightweight, cordless and durable device. The issue for me is the sound quality. Its just average for me when compared to some other Bluetooth speakers on the market. So my recommendation would be, if you are looking at it for a dual purpose decoration and light, it will be great. If you are looking for it to boom out some music for your outdoor activities, you might be left desiring a little more.

The Mooni lantern was initially going to go on the patio for the lighting with speaker...... BUT.... I was a little disappointed in the full function. The lantern has a very unique design that is appealing for outdoor living and the led light is a nice touch with changing colors and the added remote control to operate it. The light is not as bright as I thought it would be and the speaker is very underwhelming for outdoors. The speaker does not produce enough to be heard unless you are sitting in close proximity. So instead of using it for outdoors, it is now used in my daughters room for her own enjoyment. She uses it as a nightlight and for mood lighting when she is in her room reading or listening to music. It is great for her and her room. For the price point I cant really complain and my daughter loves it.

The Mooni is a fun and versatile speaker, with only one minor drawback. The light feature is definitely what makes this speaker worth it, as the sound quality is just OK. I wasn’t expecting it to be super loud but just a little more depth and richness in sound would make this speaker a lot better. The only major drawback is that while the remote control for this unit is very nice, you will have interference from TV remotes that will turn this until off and on inadvertently. If that was fixed and the sound was a tad better this would be a 5 star speaker.

This product initially caught my eye for its fashion-forward design and apparent usefulness as a dual product. However after using it for a time a few glaring errors stood out to me. The remote is shoddy at best. The buttons seemed to be unresponsive at times and the range was lackluster. The light it produced was nice and warm and the color changing aspect was a nice touch when you could get it to work. What was really bad was the speaker quality. For the size of the product, it’s lack of bass was a huge negative in my book. Especially since this was being touted as a splash resistant outdoor/poolside speaker. It hardly could carry the weight of even the most mild mannered top 40 tunes. The battery life is ok for the amount of light it throws but combine that with the music and it’s not fit for a party or anything close to a get together. I’d stay away from this product if you’re looking to get something that you will use to entertain.
