    Ok, so this movie was ok for a private, non studio made sequel. However, the original Moontrap with Star Trek crew member Walter Koenig was far better. This sequel did not really do a good homage to the original. Nice try, but it was just ok. Should have just been a stand alone sci fi fim.

    MOONTRAP TARGET EARTH is not a direct sequel to the 1989 MOONTRAP. But it was produced by the original filmmakers and incorporates the basic concepts/back story of the former. And it is NOT a TRANSFORMERS action film as its poster indicates. However, I found it to be a well done film that begins as a sci-fi mystery and evolves into an adventure on the Moon. Sarah Butler in the lead role is (in my humble opinion) great. Quite entertaining with many visual references to classic sci fi movies. Worth the time to watch.
