Charged my phone for all day use

I’ve never had one of these cases/chargers before so this is my first experience. I have also decided to go from a pro to a pro max so the size difference by comparison is a huge difference to me since I have small to regular size hands for a female that’s 57. So being able to comfortably grip the phone with one hand is no longer an option. So I figured if I’m going to be using two hands to use my phone I may as well upgrade the case and because I use my phone a lot on social media not having to charge it as much as a huge convenience. Insulation was super easy you just slide open the case slide the phone and slide close and press the small button on the back bottom of the case to start charging the phone I have a phone charger in my car, but not sure if it works because it goes on and off when charging. But all the other charging cords work perfectly fine and the lights flash on the back when it’s a successful charge. It is super heavy, but I have dropped my phone and I feel like the heaviness of the case protecting my phone I’m a fan.

This case works pretty nice for it's size. I know there are larger capacity versions but you're sacrificing bulk for that extra bit of power. This case will give you about an extra 50% of battery which is more than sufficient for me to find another power source. Setup is easy if you take a second to parse things. I tried to just jam my phone in on an angle like I would normally do with any other case. Once I almost had my phone in there and was thinking it was super awkward, I discovered that the top just slides off and you just slide your phone nicely into the case and then slide the top on. It's insanely easy once you understand how it's actually supposed to work and it'll humble you if you try and brute force things without first trying to think about it. Usage is also crazy simple. There's a single button on the back that you barely see or notice. It's recessed so you really have to try and press it and you need to hold it for about 3 seconds to turn the juice on and off. There's a cute little animation with the charge indicator lights animating towards one side when you turn it on and animating the other way when you turn it off. So it nicely animates which way the power is flowing. You still have a USB-C power plug that can charge your case by itself or when it's attached to your phone. There's also a passive mag-safe ring on the back for attaching things like a pop-socket or wallet or whatever other mag-safe accessories you might have that don't need or provide power. It's just the magnet back there which is one of the only real downsides I can see. It would be great if I could also charge wirelessly which using the case, but that's not something that this case can do. My use case for this is basically just a convenient battery. While it is fairly slim and not crazy bulky, it does still add some heft to the phone so I'm still using my every day case and just swapping this one on when I see things running a little low and I don't want to be tethered. Or if I'm going out and am not sure when I'm going to be able to charge again. After discovering how to actually install the case, it's incredibly easy to slide your phone in and out. It takes me more time to take off my standard case than to put this one on. And one more side-note. I also have an iPhone 16 Pro Max that this case fits fine on. The only difference is the larger hole in the back that extends from edge to edge instead of just on the one side. So this can be more versatile if you have multiple devices and they aren't all iPhone 17 Pro Max's. So if you're looking for a little extra battery life for your iPhone 17 Pro Max or you're a little salty that battery life in general has taken a bit of a nose dive on your iPhone 16 Pro Max after updating to iOS 26, this might be a good fit for you. It's not crazy bulky and gives you plenty of extra juice without tethering you to a wall.

    Protective Battery! Qi charging?

TLDR: Protective battery with no Qi I really enjoyed the product. The material is rubbery, I felt it was durable. Dropped the case by itself a few times just to see how it would fit, and it felt fine. So I put it on my phone, a low drop, no problem, all the cameras, buttons, etc are well protected. The fit is very neat/tight. Easy to put on an take off, which is nice. The way the case charges is through the usb c, so there is a port sticking out on the bottom of the case, you plug that into your phone, then slide your phone on. It is NOT a Qi battery, so it's not charging via the back of the phone. Which I suppose is nice, as the battery charges faster, at least it feels that way. Qi 7.5 / 15w, as opposed to the ports ability to go beyond that. I do wish however it had Qi charge on the case itself. The way to charge the case is a USB C port on the bottom of the case. I wish it had both, it would've been nice. I took a star away from it, as I felt this should be most cases in this range in 2026. Otherwise it performs as advertised, a protective case with a battery. It constantly just keeps your phone up, I recommend turning on your phones battery protective feature, to keep it at 80% to preserve your phone. Otherwise no complaints.

Premium Feel and slim designed battery pack

Unboxing, I was impressed by the overall quality and weight compared to other battery packs I’ve tried. It feels solid and premium, smooth in the hand, and well balanced. Most importantly, it didn’t add noticeable bulk to my phone — just a little extra weight, and still much lighter and more convenient than carrying a separate power bank. The smooth finish feels nice but is slightly slippery and shows fingerprints easily, so it can look smudged unless wiped down. Installation was very easy, and charging the case itself was straightforward. After the initial charge, I installed my phone when it was around 10%. At first, I wasn’t sure how to activate charging because a quick press of the button only showed the four indicator lights blinking. After a little trial and error, I realized you need to press and hold the button longer to start charging the phone. As soon as it was turned on, it worked very well. My phone charged from about 10% to 80% (my set limit to protect battery health) in just under an hour. I really like that this is a battery pack that also serves as a protective case that you can turn on and off — I can stop charging once it reaches 100% and then turn it back on later when I need more power. Overall, it’s a nice phone charger that does not add extra bulk, just a bit more weight, and still feels lighter and easier than carrying a power bank. I recommend it if you’re looking for a slim, integrated battery charger that you can turn on and off as needed throughout the day. The reason for the four stars is because the case shows all fingerprints and a little slippery. Would be nice if you had a little more grip.

Nice Charging case with one issue for me...

The mophie - Juice Pack for the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, for what it is, it has a nice clean look to it but it makes the phone noticeably larger and heavier. The covers over the buttons have a nice, positive action to them. The are not mushy. There is a solid click to let you know it was pushed. The case feels like a sort of soft plastic but it is still quite hard. It's hard to explain. Unfortunately, it is quite smooth and can, and has, slip out of my hand. The case has a nice, clean, integrated look to it (unlike the Apple add-on battery), but it takes some effort to install or remove. The fit is tight on my phone out of the box but will hopefully loosen up over time. The Apple battery is easier to install and remove since it is a MagSafe accessory but looks like a wort on the back. One down side is this will only work with iPhone 17 Pro Max. It might not work with your next phone unlike the Apple battery which will work with any MagSafe capable iPhone. There is a 4 LED battery strength meter on the back. As well as a small button to check charge level or start charging The case will attach to a MagSafe accessory (charger, phone holder, wallet, etc) but it will not charge via MagSafe. Charging is thru a USC C cable only. I'm sure this was done to save weight and keep the case as compact as possible. However, the case is already adding noticeable weight and bulk so I think I would prefer having the option to charge wirelessly. When charging thru the cases USB port, it prioritizes charging the phone before charging the case battery. The mophie battery charges quickly. Under 2 hours from 2 LED Lights to Full. Around 3 1/2 hours from 0% to 100%. It kept my phone charged at 80% for a full day (a light use day) and still had 25% left. A lot of video watching would reduce that time. At one point I discharged my phone down to 19% and installed a fully charged battery pack. It took 1 hour and 15 minute to discharge completely and my phone went from 19% to 64%. So this pack provides about 45% extra battery to the phone. Conclusion - For those that need a battery like this and want a clean integrated look, this Juice Pack is a no brainer. It looks great and provides a noticeable boost in run time. It takes a minute or two to put on and take off compared to other solutions but it looks a lot better. My only big issue with it is that I can't charge it wirelessly. If it could do that, it would be almost perfect. If you can deal with that, I say go for it.

It’s been a while since I last used a Mophie Juice Pack, and I must admit, I almost thought it wasn’t really needed anymore, especially with the 17 Pro Max’s amazing battery life. But I’m so glad I decided to give this one a shot! If you’ve ever used a Mophie case, you’ll know what to expect. You simply slide your phone into the main/bottom part of the case, then slide on the top. It might be a bit tricky because the top part sometimes seems to catch on the phone’s buttons, so be careful. Once it’s all in place, it feels like one solid piece. The buttons are all super responsive and clicky to use. You get a great cutout for the camera button and the camera plateau. The bottom part of the phone is covered, which is how the case charges it. Luckily, the case offers passthrough charging, so you’re charging your phone while charging the case when you plug it into a charger. The bottom part of the case also channels the sound from the bottom speaker to the front of the phone, so I really like the sound quality when using this case. The case has a very strong magnet, so I can still keep my wallet in it and use my car mount. It doesn’t work with wireless chargers, but you can use other MagSafe accessories. The battery on the case is easy to turn on with the button on the back, and it also lets you see how much charge your Juice Pack has. With this case and the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s insane battery life, you could go on a weekend trip and feel confident that your phone will have power. Besides the wireless charging issue, the only other thing is that it adds a bit of bulk to the phone. This is to be expected since it has a battery. The case feels nice in your hand and is easy to use once you get used to the extra weight. It does extend a little on the back, but it’s not too much of a problem. The case also doesn’t have much of a lip around the front, so if you’re using a screen protector, it might stick out a bit beyond the case edge. I tried to show this in the photos. The material the case is made from also picks up your hand oils pretty easily. You can try wiping it off, but they can be a bit stubborn. Overall, I really like this case. Mophie keeps being the best at cases with batteries. It feels great to use, makes the sound better, and all the buttons feel great. I love this case, and that battery anxiety is completely gone.

Great capacity, Nightstand mode doesn’t work

I own the previous version of this case for the iPhone 16 Pro and liked it a lot. This is pretty much the same form factor as the previous smaller version of the case. My case came partially charged, so the first thing I did was plug it in to get to full capacity. I don’t recall what the estimated percentage was when I plugged it in, but it didn’t take long to fully charge it. I like the feel of the case as it does have a good amount of “grippiness” to it and doesn’t slide out of my hand. It feels comfortable, a little bulky but that’s to be expected given the size of the phone and the battery case. I only gave it three stars for basically two reasons. The first, the case can’t be charged wirelessly, which makes nightstand mode inoperable. I charge my phone at night using a 3-in-1 stand and I always use nightstand mode so I can glance at the time. You cannot do it unless you are charging your phone with the case, but it will not last all night. The second reason, a bit more minor, is that it should have some some sort of kickstand or a method to prop up the case so the phone can be viewed while slots charging. I think that would be a big plus for this case. Overall the casework’s as advertised and fits my needs when I’m out and about or traveling, but I don’t use it everyday. I use it as needed and keep it in my backpack.

This is my first experience with a mophie Juice Pack case, but after some time using it I think I like it. It is a pretty simply idea, giving you some extra battery without the need to carry a battery, instead just combing it with your case. That said, I think they did it well Installation is simple, and once installed and fully charged, that is about it. You are good to go. The case itself does add a bit of thickness, as well as bulk and weight. Nothing you would not expect, but something to note, especially for those used to no or very thin cases. That said, you get a lot of utility for that added thickness and weight. I will touch on the battery specific aspects shortly, but in addition, you get, well, a pretty solid case. Nice bumpers, raised screen edges, and just a good feel in the hand. I think it should handle whatever I throw at it, or, when I accidentally throw it. Additionally, there is a lanyard loop for those that take that route, and it does have a magnet inside so it can still be mounted on any you may already have in your flow (although it does not charge wirelessly). When it comes to looks, well, it looks ok. Kinda plain, black, and simple. Largely, good for me. That said, if you are looking for battery, this should be expected on some level. As for the battery itself, I am pleased, although I think it does fall a bit short on its rated claims. Given the nature of this, and how it works, that is a non-issue for me. Just note I have been seeing more in the 35-40% range, but that really could also be my use case. Beyond that though, I like how they have implemented the port usage, with charging going to the phone first, then battery, as well as the option to use the port for some reverse charging, although I really need to see how this can be pushed and to what devices. Either way, it is a nice value add. Lastly, I appreciate the button which gives you on/off capabilities as well as battery information. Ultimately, I really like this case. It does what it says it would, well, looks good enough for me, and has a few nice adds that are appreciated. All in all, I have zero complaints.

TL;DR - the Mophie Juicepack for the iPhone 17 Pro Max is both a great case that adds a nice heft and thickness to the phone, and gives you a little extra juice on the go. It does a decent job at drop protection and is easy to use. A nice feature not mentioned on the box is it pipes bottom speaker audio to the front of the phone, improving the stereo effect of the speakers. In my testing, I got about 35% battery life back, but noticed the charger getting a little warm in this usage. I’m impressed but I wish it had more battery capacity. Unboxing and setup: Like with any phone case, the box slides apart to present the battery case to you. Pull it out of its paper sleeve and slide the top of the case off, then slide your phone in. You’ll want to completely charge the case before first usage. The good news is it can pass through power to the phone while it charges. I started charging my phone at 53% with the juice pack while doing things throughout my day, which included wireless carplay and some gaming. The phone was able to make it back to 88% before it went flat. Without being used, I’m sure it would have made it back to 90% (my charge limit) with power to spare. Having said that, I’d like to see a little more capacity considering how large the battery pack is. Compatibility with magnetic phone holders is a nice touch. All in all, the Mophie Juicepack is a nice addition to those who need extra battery life throughout the day.

The Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 17 Pro Max has great battery power. It is made by ZAGG which is a company I have come to trust. It increases the juice significantly when you need it. The day I received this I left for up North to attend a funeral. There is no cell service or cell towers up there. I forgot to turn my cell phone off so it just kept trying to find towers or WIFI. Needless to say it was dead when I left and found a cell tower. I had already charged this juice pack and I put it on my phone. It was amazing how fast I had juice and was able to use my phone again, I highly recommend this Mophie Juice Pack. I was concerned that my music and phone would not be loud enough using this product but I was wrong. I can tell no difference between the sound when I have my regular case verses this one. I have added photos of the case on all sides so you can see. It is so easy to install and clicks into place easily. The problem I had was that it is so heavy. I will keep it charged in my tote for use instead of having it on my phone at all times. I find it hard to use heavy items as I age. It will be an inconvenience to take my normal case off and put this on when I need it but it is doable. If you have no problem with the weight this would be a 5 star product.

An essential accessory for iPhone Users

I was an early adopter of the mophie Juice Pack when it was originally released for the iPhone 3G and I’ve gotten one for nearly every other iPhone I’ve had. The Juice Pack is the ideal case for me because I usually only like to use a case when it serves multiple purposes. The Juice Pack protects and charges, which checks those case requirements off for me. Out of the box, the case had a 50% charge. I was surprised that mophie didn’t include a charging cable for it. I was expecting at least a short one, but there was nothing in the box except for the Juice Pack and its Quick Start Guide. So, I grabbed a USB-C cable and plugged it in before I installed my phone into it. To insert your phone, you have to slide the top section of the case off and then slide your iPhone in so that it connects with the USB-C plug that is built into the Juice Pack. Once the phone was secured into the bottom section of the case, I started sliding the top over the phone. It was a little tricky getting it over the camera bump, but once I did, the case snapped together and I was ready to use it. I found a long time ago that the best way to use accessories like the Juice Pack is to connect the case to your phone, run down the battery in the Juice Pack and then use the phone’s battery. It is generally better to use the Juice Pack as the power source first. Letting the case drain before your phone’s battery helps reduce wear on the internal battery and makes long term replacement easier if capacity degrades. The Juice Pack is a great backup battery or battery add-on for the iPhone. I wouldn’t leave the house without it.

Greatly extends iphone's daily battery life

Mophie’s Juice Pack for iPhone 17 Pro Max is an excellent pick if you want serious extra battery without juggling a separate power bank. It integrates a 3,600 mAh pack that delivers up to about 50% more battery life, easily pushing a heavy-use day into late night without anxiety. The case adds some thickness, but the rounded edges and textured finish keep it surprisingly pocketable and comfortable in hand. The case has a very strong magnet in the back so you can easily use the case with your existing Magsafe mounts. Protection is a real plus: you get high‑impact drop resistance and raised edges around the screen and cameras, so it feels like a true daily case, not just a battery shell. Charging is simple: plug into USB‑C and the iPhone charges first, then the case, and there is a status button so you only top up when you actually need it. The main trade‑offs are the added weight and not working with wireless chargers. This is actually important for me because my car’s wireless charging mat doesn’t work with the mophie Juice Pack, so I’m forced to use the USB cable to charge the phone and case when in the car. However, for travel days, events, or long shifts, the convenience and all‑day endurance more than justify these minor inconveniences.

This Mophie juice pack is a perfect combo ( protective case and charging case) for my new iPhone 17 pro max, the juice pack is all you need for traveling or whenever you forget your charging cord. It gives me a full charge when I need it, specially when I’m at work and don’t have my charging cord, the case also protect my new iPhone, specially the camera plateau, the case feels durable, soft and strong, even though it makes the phone a little bit bulky, but the charging is a plus. It contains a 3,600 mAh internal battery, integrated passive magnet ( does not charge wireless with a MagSafe charger) high impact protection, compact design but a little bulky, integrated lanyard port, standby button and a priority plus charging/ audio pass through via USB- C. The design on the bottom of the case helps the audio of my iPhone to not be interrupted. Almost everything about this juice pack is awesome, but the only cons are the bulky design makes my iPhone heavier, the integrated magnet does not charge wireless and the material of the case leaves fingerprints marked and using a MagSafe charger leaves marks on the back of the case.

I’ve had my Mophie phone charging case for a few weeks now and I have to say that, although it does charge my phone to about 50% it does leave a little to the imagination when it doesn’t achieve what it is supposed to. At first, I thought it was that I had not charged the case entirely and so I let it drain a few times and then charged it to full, but unfortunately the technology in the charging case just is unmatched for the new iPhones battery capacity or so it seems. As far as design is concerned, it is in line with Mophie’s other amazing case designs, it is smooth it is slim. It is not fussy and it is easy to set up. Essentially, you’ll pull the case out of the box. Leave it to full charge slide your phone in when you’re ready and use it as you need you’ll hold the button down in the back so that you can initiate charging you’ll see the three LED lights blink a couple of times and you’ll feel your phone buzz which means the charging has been initiated. Overall an amazingly easy to set up a great backup for a battery, but don’t expect a full charge from this my hope was to be able to use this for weekend trips where I will be walking thousands of steps in Orlando and be able to rely on this case to charge my phone. It just looks like I’ll have to have a backup for that and use this as a last resort.

I purchase this battery pack for my iPhone 17 Pro Max because I wanted to ensure that my iPhone battery stayed as health as possible. I also use my iPhone a great deal every day. I have been most pleased with my purchase. The only negative comment I have about the battery pack is that it is a bit difficult to remove the battery pack from your phone once it has been installed. I am very pleased with this battery pack overall because I am able to plug in USBC headphones directly into my iPhone 17 Pro Max while I am using my battery pack.
