Excellent Design, but no MagSafe Charging
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m glad that mophie brought back its Juice Pack cases for the iPhone 16 series. I used it several years ago on older iPhones and it is always a great option to extend your battery life while traveling. I was hoping mophie would add a few modern touches such as MagSafe charging or automatic battery level detection (so you don’t have to remember to press the button on the back of the case to begin charging). But they didn’t add those things. Regardless, this new Juice Pack is still a great option. === PROS === - The case is easy to snap on and take off. The two halves easily slide over the phone and the phone lines up perfectly with the USB-C connector at the bottom of the case. - The case is very sturdy and provides a nice amount of protection. It’s not the most rugged design, but it will easily withstand most drops and bumps. The edges around the screen are raised to prevent scratches and cracks. - The volume, power, and action buttons have a nice metallic feel and are very tactile. - The battery inside the case is 3,600 mAh, which seems to be enough to charge my iPhone 16 Pro Max by about 50%. To activate the Juice Pack battery, you need to hold down a small button on the back of the case for about 3 seconds. - There is a series of 4 LEDs on the back of the case to provide an indicator of the case’s battery level. You can quickly check the battery charge by quickly pressing the button. - Surprisingly, my phone does not feel excessively heavy with the Juice Pack on. It certainly adds some weight, but the nice curves and ergonomics of the case make it easy to hold. === CONS === - The plastic of the case is rather slippery. It feels soft, but it offers very little grip compared to something like Apple’s official silicone cases. - There is a MagSafe magnet on the back of the case so you can at least use it with stands, mounts, and other MagSafe accessories. But it is only a passive magnet - it will not charge the case or phone when connected to a MagSage charger. The only way to charge the case is via the USB-C port. - There is a cutout for the Camera Control button which leaves it exposed and may allow dust and debris to get trapped in the case. - I don’t like that I have to remember to activate the case’s battery by holding down the button on the back. I wish there was a way that the case could actively monitor my phone’s battery level and automatically turn on once it fell below a certain level. But I suppose this may be a limitation of iPhones/iOS. === OVERALL === There are definitely a few drawbacks to be aware of, but the mophie Juice Pack delivers on its promise. It provides a nice boost of battery life for those busy days away from power outlets or while traveling. It has a very premium design and is easy to hold. I do wish it could charge via MagSafe, but that’s a minor drawback.

Great if you have a use for it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to buy these battery cases for my old Samsung Galaxy phones all the time since the batteries on those were never great and sometimes I needed more juice. But I hadn't seen these available for newer iPhones until now. Pretty cool that they even made one for the 16 Pro Max which has outstanding battery life already built in. The short version of my review is that this is not a case you'd want to use regularly as it does add bulk to an already large phone and doesn't support MagSafe charging, but it is nice to have in case you are going to be in a situation where you won't be able to charge your phone for a day or two and want to make sure it last without any issues. My favorite things about the case: - It fits perfectly and gives protection + extra battery life - The speaker cutouts are well designed and work great - All buttons and Type-C charging port are accessible and work great - Does have a strong MagSafe magnet so that it will click onto mounts with no problem Things I would have like to have seen: - It's quite a bit of bulk for only 3500mah additional battery - The case itself does not support wireless/MagSafe charging I wanted to love this case, but ultimately, I just like it. I would love it if it supported MagSafe charging including passthrough charging via MagSafe and if it had just a bit more power. As is, I think for many use cases a slim MagSafe powerbank would be better. I can get a 5000mAh one of those and keep my regular case on the phone and just click that the back to recharge and quickly take it off if I needed. With this case, you're kinda committing to having it on there even when you're not using it to charge, so that's just something you have to decide if you want. For me, it's not bad, but just not something I am likely to use often. But it will be good for those few times when I just feel I need the extra power and don't want to keep up with a separate power bank.

Great active case! Provides protection and battery
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: 1. SETUP: Charge it up and slide on the case. 2. USE: Press the button, the LED lights will come on and it will change. 3. USABILITY: It works and is nice to have, especially when you are heading out and know you will probably need a little extra juice! 4. OVERALL: It is a little bulky and heavy. It shows some fingerprints (easy to clean, though). It will give you about a 70% charge. It’s a great alternative to a MagSafe battery. I have owned and still own a bunch of Mophie stuff. I’ve always had good luck with their various batteries and still regularly use some of their batteries that are 10+ years old. I’ve even had the Juice Pack (and I believe Juice Pack Plus?) for several older iPhones (3G, 4, and 4S), so I was excited they relaunched it. The packaging it comes in is nice. The style and functionality are very familiar. You slide off the top of the case, slide the phone into the case, and snap in the stop of the case. It’s a little tight, as it needs to be to offer protection and zero rattle. The female portion of the USB-C charging port of the iPhone slides into the male portion of the USB-C port of the Juice Pack. When recharging your phone and case, the USB-C charging cable will directly go into the case, which ultimately charges the case and phone. It offers pass-through charging. I don’t have a meter, but it charges relatively quickly. I don’t notice it taking longer than just charging the phone…although I haven’t timed it either. There are strong magnets on the back of the Mophie Juice Pack, but it doesn’t allow for wireless charging. It will allow it to magnetically adhere to anything metal. The material of the case is a soft-touch plastic. It’s nice in hand and it’s slippery, but will show fingerprints. It is heavy, but not heavier than with a battery bank attached. This is a great alternative to a 5000 mAh MagSafe battery. It doesn’t get noticeably warm and is an all-in-one piece, meaning you’re not going to lose, misplace, etc., the extra battery. You really won’t lose any/much power to heat, either. If you need more power, then a 10,000+ mAh battery bank is a better option, but for most people who may need extra power during their normal day or will have an extended day [traveling, outdoor activities (hiking, biking), etc.], this is a great alternative that will give a bunch of extra usage to your phone and it’s just part of your normal case.

Great juice pack for your iPhone 16 Pro Max
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that my husband's phone is always almost dead because he is either on it and not charging it or only puts it on the charger when he needs to, even if we are leaving the house. Since he got this, his phone has always been charged, and he now uses this exclusively as his case and not just when he needs to charge it. It took a little over an hour to reach 4 bars from 1 bar. It has a little button on the case that you need to press when you want to turn it on and start charging your phone. When I tried it out, the phone was 74%, and the charging case had 4 bars. It took about 2 hours to reach 100%, and the charger was at 1 bar when it was completed. The case is also sturdy and holds his MagSafe wallet very firmly. That is a huge bonus because he now keeps his MagSafe wallet attached to his phone. For installation instructions, read it first so you don't slightly crack your camera protector shield like I did. The juice pack case has the ability to separate the top and bottom, and that is how you should place it on your phone when it is separated. The top half should be snapped onto your phone first, and then you can slide the phone into the case. It should slide right onto the USB-C, which is how it is charged. This is really great charging pack and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

A must for your phone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great way to continue to use your iPhone than with extra charge. This convenient device is an excellent addition to your phone. It charges the phone quickly and it doesn't look bulky. I like the black color because it makes it discreet. The phone feels secure and protected with this case. The lights on the back bottom of the case is an easy indicator of the state of charge for the case. The case is designed to charge your phone first before charging the device. The case has wireless charging capabilities. The charge on the case can extend the talk time for upto 49 hrs and or upto 49 hours of music play. The manufacturer gives a two year warranty so that alone is worth the price. The case is easy to install, and the phone fits snug into the case. It doesn't not cover the camera lenses and fits over the buttons on the phone. The case feels like it's made with premium materials and can last a long time. Overall, this case is a must for any iPhone user. It a great device for the price.

Doesnt work with magsafe
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This charging case is really good. Its not even listed on Mophies website yet. The downsides are. This is obviously gonna add quite a bit of thickness and weight to your phone. This does have magsafe magnets and they are super super strong but it doesn’t wirelessly charge. So you have to plug it in to charge it/yourphone. But when your phone is fully charged and the case is fully charged i can make it about 2.5 days without charging again. Also wish this came in a different color because the matte black is a fingerprint magnet. Id keep this if it had wireless charging.

Heavy solid case that is well built
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having primarily used iphones over the years, many moons ago I used a Morphie case with an iPhone 4s because it was constantly running low during the day. I found it to be a quality case and the extra battery life really helped get me through some long days on the road with heavy use. Fast forward to recently, and the Morphie case had been discontinued for many years so when I saw it make a comeback for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, I had to give it a try as I have found myself in a few low battery situations due to my use pattern and forgetting to charge where my battery was at or under 10%. In a nice, stylish box that opens by sliding out the inside from the bottom you will find the Morphie case and that's it. No charging cable or instructions (but you do get a QR code if needed). Just the case itself and that is perfectly fine as USB-C cables are quickly becoming the standard and can be found everywhere. I know for myself my iPhone 14 Pro Max was my last non USB-C device and when I upgraded to the 16 Pro Max, all my devices are now USB-C. The case itself is smooth and sleek. I use an Ottorbox Defender and the case has a slightly smaller width than the Otterbox case but a touch longer. Because the iPhone 16 Pro Max is much much bigger than the 4s, the Morphie can spread the battery pack out along a much larger surface space and as such the case doesn't get much thicker like their older design. Installation is incredibly easy as the top of the case slides off and you slide your phone down to seat the USB-C female connector snuggly on top of the USB-C male connector then slide the top back on, snap it into place and you're done. It is so easy to install that if you're comfortable removing your other, lighter cases, you can swap your phone between cases pretty quick. I timed myself and it was ~3 minutes to swap to the Morphie and about ~5 minutes to swap back mainly due to fitting the soft outter protection shield back on the Otterbox. I can not emphasize how easy installation is with the Morphie. Using it is also easy as the Morphie acts as a passthrough battery pack and you just use your phone as you would everyday charging it like normal till you find yourself in a situation where you're at 10% battery life and you hold down on the button on the back for ~3 seconds and boom, your phone now acts as if it is plugged in charging and you keep using your phone normally while the Morphie battery back works its magic and charges your phone. Once installed in the Morphie case, I absolutely love the buttons and touch controls more than the Otterbox and another Otterbox clone case I've been using and testing. Another big improvement is a smaller, tighter and more protective port for the "Action button" on the lower right side of the Morphie. I feel like the Otterbox made a slight mistake making the action button port too big and fragile but the Morphie case fits it just about as small and rigid as possible. The thinner bezel around the display makes it easier to swipe up and down as I found the larger bezels of the Otterbox and its clone were too thick to really swipe easily from the top or bottom and I found myself fighting with it sometimes. The few cons of the Morphie would be it feels very slick in my hand with minimal tactile grip and this might lend to a greater chance of dropping it. It is also a fingerprint magnet. The added weight will definitely make drops hit harder with greater force (F=MA) and while the case feels pretty sturdy, you do not get the two layer protection of the Otterbox with the inner plastic protection and then the outside softer protection cover. The added weight is noticeable as with the case, the total weight is 349g = 12.31oz = slightly more than 3/4 of a pound. So in the end, I will end up using my Otterbox or Otterbox Clone case for most day to day use cases, but when I know I'm going to be on the go for an extended period of time, I will just swap to the Morphie case for those long days and especially so I won't have to try to find a charger and sit there for an unknown perior of time while my phone charges before I can go about the rest of my day. If you're good with the size and added weight, you can just snap it on and forget about it and just use your phone as you were before with the peace of mind knowing if you suddenly run out of battery or your batter is low, you can just hold the button on the back for ~3 seconds and you're right back in business.

The Mophie Case
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The iPhone 16 Pro Max offers an impressive 80% extra battery life, making it a great choice for those who prioritize battery life. However, it does come with a slight drawback of adding weight to the phone. On a positive note, It recently acquired some great magnets that enable wireless charging, which is a convenient feature.

So nostalgic, hoping it stays!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve honestly really enjoyed using the mophie Juice Pack for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. It feels like such a refreshing throwback to the 2016 vibes when everyone had the iPhone 6S with a Mophie case—it’s definitely nostalgic in the best way. The addition of MagSafe, while not essential for me, is a cool feature. Even though I don’t actively use MagSafe accessories, the magnetic functionality is super convenient for standing the phone on MagSafe accessories or sticking it to certain surfaces. The case isn’t overly heavy or bulky; in fact, it’s surprisingly slim for what it offers. I also love the inclusion of USB-C, which is a great upgrade. It works seamlessly with wired Apple CarPlay, and the case doesn’t interfere with the connection at all. The battery capacity is impressive too—I can easily go about two and a half days without needing to charge my phone, which is a game-changer.

Nostalgic, convenient
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember when these cases first came out. Apple stopped making their battery case for some reason and silently stopped producing the battery packs. Glad Mophie is out here making it happen. Still love how this case feels. Yeah for sure its a fingerprint magnet and the magsafe (very strong magnet btw ++) leaves a print/mark but thats every case. And this is the best battery case out there. 5 stars for sure

Mophie juice pack for iPhone 16 pro max
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The item was great, aside from the slow charging and lack of MagSafe charging pass through. Also, using MagSafe caused a ring to form on the back immediately. Other than that, solid build and slim profile.

Great phone case
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mophie Juice Pack is an excellent investment for anyone who needs their phone to last all day (or longer) without frequent access to a power outlet. While it adds some bulk and weight, the additional battery life and solid protection make it a worthwhile trade-off. If you’re always on the move or simply tired of carrying around external battery packs, this case is a game-changer.
