If you can accept the fantasy of marauding cities on wheels then the visual realization of it will be a hoot. The opening chase is a steampunk delight. Not great art, but if you've been to London you find architectural surprises all over the impossible star of the movie - London on wheels.

Had my doubts at first when I purchased the movie, but it turned out to be an excellent sci-fi and action movie. No regrets at all. Great cast as well.

I thought this was a great movie and would have given it 5 stars if I didn't find quite a bit of it to be predictable. I don't think that should discourage you from getting it. Even though you knew what was going to happen, you would still look forward to watching it happen.

Critics didn't get it but this is a terrific version of the first novel in the series. Amazing world building, lots of action and superior special effects. If you are looking for something different or like steampunk, you will enjoy this movie. Amazing 4K transfer!

This film did not do well at the box office, for reasons I do not understand why, The film was well acted, and well scored. One of the major complaints was that it did not follow it source material, I never read the novels so I don't care, The film is amazing visually, If you own a 4K set and player, you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this entry to your library.

Many times this type of movie plays out as a space community (new world) VS planet (the left behinds) or a walled off community VS rest of wasteland - this time the cities are mobile and battles ensue. If you like these type of films you will like this one.

This movie is great for when you want to be transported to another world full of action and adventure but you don't really want that post-movie depression like when you finish the Harry Potter series and now you just want to start it again.

Peter Jackson is an amazing film maker, no doubt about it. This movie is larger than life with special effects and camera work that he mastered doing Hobbit/Lord of the Rings. The movie was well done and also gets me interested in the novel it's based on.

This movie is all around original. Even though it is a book-to-movie movie. With all the comic book movies (which are awesome), remakes, reboots or just bad movies, this one is a BIG RELIEF OF FRESH AIR!!! Visually stunning. Great story. Totally original. I truly loved the 80's but enough with 80's throw back!!! Would very highly recommend this movie!!!

I watched this and don't understand why it failed at the box office as its a very good sci epic that delves into the unexplored area of the fictional steampunk genre. The characters were good, great special effects and tons of battle and action to behold.

If you like the world of Steampunk, this is definitely a movie you'll enjoy. Interesting concept that mechanized cities on enormous tracks stride the post apocalyptic land gobbling up resources. It would've been rewarding to have seen Mighty London square off against another Metropolis on tracks though. Well worth a watch. Hugo Weaving rules, as usual.

I didn't get to see this in the theater and after hearing so many bad reviews I was almost glad. When it was released on Blu-Ray, I still struggled on whether to get it or not. I am so glad I bit the bullet and did! It was very entertaining and dark!

I liked this movie, it reminds me of some of the books I have read recently that had a mixture of old and new technology. I know this is from a YA series, and have thought about reading the series even though it is probably just loosely based. I would recommend watching this movie and if you get a good price, then adding to your collection!

I wasn't expecting much from this movie based on other's reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was very different and definitely an entertaining watch. Looks great in 4k on my home theater also. Sound is amazing as well. I'd recommend.

The effects of the movie are quite excellent. The atmosphere and the place took for film was quite spectacular and amazing. The movie continues the plot quite quick , not much conversation break during the show with a lot of action. Some plot of the movie are not too reasonable but still acceptable. For me, it was worth buying and I'd watch it again.

This movie is a fantastic spectacle with great pacing and fun characters. It's worth a watch. The story is not to be compared to Lord of the RIngs which it will be because of Peter Jackson. The cinematic value is still good here.

there were so many familiar actors in this film. it took a lot of themes from other movies, & some of the action was too unbelievable, but since I was told it was not a good movie I did not expect much so I was actually able to enjoy it!

I know this movie didn’t get the greatest reviews, but just enjoy it for what it is - a great futuristic sci-fi movie. The audio and video are outstanding and will put any system to the test. Great reference material for the HT enthusiast.

When I first saw this DVD came out I couldn’t remember it hitting the theatres. I found this odd for a Peter Jackson movie, Lord if the Rings, Hobbit, etc. I was a bit reluctant purchasing it, but was glad I did after watching it. An unusual concept but well worth the watch. Awesome movie and special effects. You won’t be disappointed!
