Customers frequently mention the impressive graphics and smooth gameplay of Mortal Kombat 11. Positive feedback also highlights the game's characters and, for some, its price point. However, some users point out the large download size and storage space requirements as drawbacks. Concerns regarding lag and the need for an internet connection were also raised by a few players.

This is a very fun game with a pretty decent story. It looks great on my Switch. Obviously it looks better on more powerful game consoles, but you can't play those on the bus or the DMV now can you. This is the base game which makes an affordable starter kit. The full expansion will run you the price of new game, but it's worth it for all of the extra content that comes with it. You can always wait for a dlc sale to get the rest. Just make sure you've got space on your memory card. I recommend this to any fighting genre fan.

I really wish I could get my money back. If you do not have a active internet connection, almost everything is locked. This is counter intuitive when playing on the Switch on the go.
I just want to get in and play like any other fighting game. Klassic Towers tower mode is locked if you do not update (screen shot attached). My switch is not connected to the internet. Why do you have to make it so difficult to just play klassic tower.
This game is only a 3.9/10 (currently) on metacritic and I think that is a generous score. What is up with all the microtransactions!
I should have check the real reviews before I spent money on this. Can I really get my money back?

I was enticed to buy this game, I wanted to play Mortal Kombat at anytime and anywhere. Upon hearing that the Switch version of MK11 took a hit in graphics and performance, I was discouraged. I bought the game to see for myself, it holds its ground in performance. Combos are easily learned and executed nicely! The graphics do not compare to the PS4 or Xbox 1 versions, yet they are good. Fatalities still look gruesome and blood still looks like blood. It's NICE to be able to take this game anywhere and play. That alone is worth buying it. I own the PS4 version, love it. Loving this Switch version as well!

I love MK !! I grew up playing this game. For a smaller screen the graphics are pretty good. I usually play this on my ps4, but I also like playing on my switch.

It runs really, really great on Switch. Graphics are a little bland at times but it runs like a dream, super smooth. The only downsides are that it requires a big download (patches have been HUGE) and that it requires an internet connection for earning coins and stuff, thus negating the mobile aspect of the game. WB Games should really unlock that for the Switch version since it does hurt the gameplay experience.

They've done a great job porting this game to the Switch. Understand this is going to be weak graphically when compared to the PS4 or Xbox. It's apples & oranges, you're sacrificing graphics for portability.
That being said, gameplay is super smooth, which is what really matters here. So if you're going to be spending the majority of your time playing the main game, the visuals are fine. The Krypt is a brown and grey nightmare visually, but it's a side feature so I don't put as much emphasis there than the main game.
Overall if you value the ability to play this on the go, or while your SO is watching TV, then you're getting an authentic MK experience at the cost of some of the visuals. If you're going to play in docked mode and have another system, just grab it for PS4 or Xbox. Also be warned that it requires a massive download to play. So make sure you've got a lot of free space on your Micro SD card before buying.

Not sure about the negative reviews, but this is a must own title for the switch. The game play is very smooth and the online play is also very good. I'm still wondering how they got so much game on this tiny cartridge. Also I was lucky to snag this up for $39 bucks on sale and it was well worth the price. As stated earlier what ever bugs this game had at launch there gone, so don't be afraid to buy this, trust me you won't be disappointed. One thing tho, just so you know their is a 22GB update as soon as you insert the game, but trust me it's well worth it in the end 10/10.

I picked this game up for Thursday night it came out and have been playing it every day for the last few weeks. The story mode is really solid, with some great directing and high-quality voice acting.
The amount of characters and stages to play in, visuals, and music are all really solid as well.
The controls make the game simple enough to get into, but there is definitely quite a bit of complexity to make it worthwhile to master.
Solid gameplay, quite a few modes, and the ability to play on TV or on the go...all in 60 FPS.
Totally worth it!

I got this game on sale and after playing think I would have paid more for it. I keep reading people bashing this version of MK 11 because of the visuals and what not. I think it plays great and do not notice any slow downs. Sure the graphics aren't PS4/Xbox quality but come on, did you expect that for a lower powered system??
I find it impressive that it runs on Switch and is as fluid as it is and haters can go buy their other version and move on. Load times can be long but that is really my only gripe. I am very happy with this on Switch and hope third party developers continue making titles for it.

The colors are a little different on the switch vs Play Station or X-Box, but the experience are just as good. Ive played the story version with my boyfriend over the holiday and we've borh had so much fun! I highly recommend this game. I will say that there was over an hour download time because of a software update that allows this version to be Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, so sick!

The game runs amazingly at 60fps handheld and docked. Does suffer graphical downgrade but its not on the lowest settings compared to PC on Low. Its most likely running at Mid-Low Settings. If you love fighting games its a must have but if you want the game to run at 60fps, look pretty and are willing to give up the ability to take it on the go buy the PS4/XBONE versions.

Yeah the graphics aren’t that great compared to the ps4 pc etc.... Playing in handheld, the menu gets a little blurry when you are trying to read the gameplay modes. I have noticed from time to time, it lags while its in handheld mode. Playing as a character, while jumping, the game goes slow, it is irritating!
not much different when playing on dock! Overall, I would get this for the ps4 or xbox one.
If you do travel alot, then the mortal kombat switch is for you! If graphic matters, get it for the other consoles! Have fun!

I am completely amazed at what the Nintendo Switch can do. The fact that we can play these AAA games on a less powerful, handheld system is pretty incredible. With that being said, in order to do that you have to accept the sacrifices that come with it, and in this case the graphics department takes a huge hit. Everything is blurry, muddy, and it's the missing the little details like blood hitting the floor or wounds on your fighter that is present in the other consoles. Hair looks like crap, lighting textures are overblown, and the Krypt atmosphere feels empty.
My biggest complain is that the game lags from time to time in story mode. That is unacceptable. It constantly takes me out of the flow of the story.
The positive is that it runs a smooth 60fps during fights and contains all the same butt load of content that the other consoles have. And of course, you can take this with you on the go. I would honestly wait until $30 tops before getting it for the Switch. If you have other consoles, I would definitely get it for them instead.
Not a terrible port, but a lot needs to be worked on to have it feel worth the money.
