Strangely enough in the world of bad video game movies - this one still stands alone for being ... VERY GOOD! The picture and sound quality was also surprisingly good! (For the age of the movie) part 2 wasn’t great, but I enjoyed the tv series also included.

The blu ray collection has three separate entries in a single purchase and as such, I'll divide the review into those separate entries. Mortal Kombat After the middling performance of the Street Fighter movie, the Mortal Kombat movie was actually pretty good by comparison. This is primarily due to Robin Shou's performance as Liu Kang with Linden Ashby's Johnny Cage being a close second. Bridgette Wilson's Sonya Blade and Christopher Lambert's Raiden round out the main cast and all deliver acceptable performances. The plot is decently woven together, considering the slim source material at the time (the games have fleshed out more story over the years, but at the time of this film, it wasn't as detailed as it would become). The film's weakest point is its dated special effects, but if you're not put off by cheesy CG and a few shoehorned game references or catch phrases, the first film is a fun flick. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation Picking up where the first movie leaves off, everything falls apart in the this film. A number of actors were replaced with others, save Shou's Liu Kang who is the only performance that's notable for what he has to work with. The rest of the acting is amateurish and the script is horribly weak with awful dialogue throughout. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Actually a web series that received the blessing to be officially produced, Mortal Kombat: Legacy details the background stories of the different combatants in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Detailing the history that leads each of them to enter the tournament, this series of 20ish minute episodes really fleshes out the characters well and is by far the best entry in the collection. The only downside is there was a 2nd season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy which didn't make this collection. It's available separately on blu ray, though. Dissapointing spoiler for that, however, it ends on a cliffhanger and the third season of MK: Legacy looks like it will not be filmed.

The first movie is a faith adaptation of the games of the 90s. Any fan of fighting movies would appreciate the original. Far as the sequel .... well it’s a guilty pleasure I’ll say that

This three disk movie was good except for one thing, its two full movies and one was a short film not a full movie. Someone I knew wanted this movie and I didn't know what's inside.

I have been doing martial arts since i was 6 and these movies are a must for any one who appreciates martial arts beautiful fighting choreography.

If you grew up in the 80's and 90's and loved martial arts growing up, there was nothing better than watching WMAC Masters and playing the Mortal Kombat video games. These movies prove that you can take a video game series and make it a hit. I just wish the same were with all three movies. The first one is the best hands down, but all three provide enough action to keep any fan of Mortal Kombat happy. Also, The Immortals did a great job with the soundtrack for the first movie.

I thought the service was great! I got my movie in good condition and the process on the website was easy. I loved this franchise of games and movies and I'm glad I was able to find it from Best Buy.

The original Mortal Kombat was absolutely brilliant. The 2nd one was only interesting because of all the additional characters that showed up in the movie. And the Legacy, well...

This is a great bundled value. Mortal Kombat is one of my favorite movie adapted from a game. It still holds very well today, I saw it well back when I was in high school. The second was awesome as well, I'm really looking forward to seeing the third one!!!

A good collection of Mortal Kombat movies. I acquired it to save the space used up by the 3 Mortal Kombat DVDS I had in my collection. I would only recommend this set to anyone who likes and is familiar with Mortal Kombat.
