If you love Mortal Kombat, than this version is literally all you need. It comes with all characters and fits. $20 is worth it all. $60 plus, not so much.

Admissions upfront: I'm not a fighting game expert, and I haven't played any of the Mortal Kombat games since the Super Nintendo. That being said, this game is SO much fun! I haven't fully gotten to explore it yet, but the variety of characters (and their own variety of fighting styles) means that you can find that perfect fit just for you. This was one of our "must have" games when we got our PS4 just recently, and I'm so glad we did.

I picked this up after playing the original version many years ago at launch, and for $20 this is an excellent deal. The best Mortal Kombat in my opinion!

MK XL is a fantastic fighter! The characters are extensive and quite unique. The game looks great I’m action although the cutscenes look a bit dated. While this is obviously the same develop that made Injustice 2, I couldn’t help but feel that the similarities were just too apparent between the two. It’s really hard to say which is better as it really just comes down to theme. The story tries to be enthralling but, like Injustice, it seems to just find way too many excuses to throw random fighter mashups together making the story rather disjointed and hard to follow. It’s also a bit on the shorter side but that’s certainly not going to stop having particular fun with great MK 1v1 action! If you like fighters, no one does it better than NetherRealm
