When new this thing doubled the life of the phone battery but within a few months didn't hold it's charge as well. It showed a noticeable deterioration of longevity that was disappointing.

Moto mod is 100% , phone is at 15%. I attached the mode to phone. After 30 minute ... Phone is at 50% and mode is at 0%. I am planning to return it back. Not worth paying 30$ for this.

Does it's job pretty well, but after 8 months, started getting "Moto mod not lined up correctly" fault. Thought it was my old phone, so upgraded to Z3, but same problem.

If you've seen all of the other Moto Mods and thought to yourself, "Wow, these are all expensive!" I would be right there with you. $300 for a camera or a projector? $100 for a speaker or a battery case? Yikes. With this official Moto branded power pack, the asking price falls in line with competing battery cases made for other phone brands. I believe $50 is reasonable enough provided that the product is well made. Perhaps it's even more reasonable than the $80 Turbopower pack Motorola will release later this year. So when this went on sale for $40, I finally pulled the trigger. And does it work well with only 2220mAh? Yes it does. I am a heavy phone user, spending my off days playing Hearthstone, Minecraft Pocket Edition, and Pokemon Go on the phone. With this power pack, I have ended those days with a little over 20% phone battery life (after expending the mod battery) on medium brightness. That's more than good enough for me. The simplicity of snapping on a Moto Mod works as advertised. The built-in software in your phone shows you how much battery life is left in the mod, and you have two options to charge the phone: Default (Keep the phone charged at 100%), or Efficiency (Charge the phone when the phone battery reaches 80%). Using a type-C cable and a quick charger, the power pack simultaneously charges with the phone when the phone battery reaches approximately 70%. Other methods, like micro-USB cables with type-C adapters, will charge the phone to 100% before charging the mod. Assuming that this mod will last me for quite awhile, I am very content with the Power Pack, and I hope to see more affordable and useful mods coming out on the market.

This mod died within 4 months I would suggest not getting a moto z mod phone to begin with its been good until it starts messing up left and right

My husband bought it and it didn't work on his phone. He had to return it.

Has extended the battery life as described. Would like to find a cover to fit with the battery on to protect the phone better.

Easy to snap on an keeps my phone charged. I can go several days without having to plug my phone in at all! I'm not a huge user of my phone, mostly for texting, directions and some photos. I would give it 5 stars if I could charge the battery pack separately or if I could use the battery pack and the camera at the same time (picky, I know!).

It'll do for now but I wanted the wireless power pak...you have to plug this power pak in.
