I am also disappointed given this is a Motorola brand product. I always held the brand in high esteem. I picked up my thermometer from Best Buy today and took it home. I installed the included batteries and tried it out on myself. Mine thermometer measures my temperature at 98.1F while a B&D and Boncare oral thermometers measures my temperature as 98.9F and 98.7 respectfully. I believe the B&D to be the most accurate of all three since I owned this thermometer for 15 years. I have benched it against other thermometers over that span of the time and it has been in agreement with even the thermometers used in ER. 98.1F is a highly unusual reading for me. Initially when I first took the Motorola thermometer out of the box and tested, I got repeated readings of 95.5F. It was only 1/2 hour later when I tried it again that it gave me 98.1F.

Bought this for my infant son, added the batteries and turned it on. Doesn’t work! I tried to register the item on Motorola website, the item can’t be found, so I can’t register the item for warranty. I’m returning this crap.

This thermometer is the best one we have ever purchased. Love that it is easy to use and has a large display for the temp readings.

hi. I bought this Motorola Thermometer, because my wife and kid got flue symptoms. Turns out they tested positive for covisd19. Kid got sick one night with high fever and recover in a couple of days. My wife got excruciating body aches and took weeks to recover. I had no symptoms for about a week, then had chills and shortness of breath (sob) for about 4 times pretty bad. To make things worst we had to move from our apartment to a new one. wow, very tough month. (Nov to Dec). Now we ok. Thanks to our Lord. He gave us the strength. So back to the Thermometer, It helped me measure my wife's' temperature and mine the whole time. It was accurate. Never went over 99. I am so thankful and blessed to tell my short story. We have used this thermometer several times and it has performed well. It appears to be accurate within a tenth of a degree. It is compact and easy to use. Time will tell how reliable it is for this item’s price point.

The thermometer under the tongue way is no more unless you live alone. With 4 of us under the same roof this makes taking everyone's temperature a breeze especially our 2 kids under 5 who can't be still. Accurate and easy ro use.

We have tried several thermometers from different brands and different types and they all were consistently inconsistent or inaccurate. This thermometer is reliably accurate and only seems to give false readings when outside factors are in play (came in from outdoors). We have noticed that when taking multiple person’s temperature back to back it reads each person’s temperature as the same but if we wait and let the thermometer turn off in between people it reads differently and that’s the reason for taking one star off.

My wife and I purchased this to replace a temporal scanner which was extremely inconsistent and difficult to read. The Motorola device has been consistent, easy to use and easy to read. We have been using it for probably a couple of months and would recommend it.

We use it for our kids, I tested it on against two thermometers and it was accurate.

Even though it says it is a baby thermometer, I bought it for the adults in the household. It seems accurate, but more importantly, it is consistent. I've tried taking several readings in a row and it never varied by more than 0.2 degrees. My previous oral thermometer would vary by more than 2 degrees and be all over the place if you took several readings. The key thing with this one is you must have a clean and dry forehead. Any sweat or moisture brings down the temperature by a couple of degrees.

We bought this to replace a thermometer that you slid across your forehead, this gave us much more consistent and accurate reading, and its simple to use.

Finally upgraded from a braun ear thermometer that have served well to this newer non contact one it’s easy to read and gives temp quick no longer have to worry about waking up someone who is sleeping if you need to check on their fever

Great for new baby! We bought this for our new Grand child, it is so easy to use and the baby doesn't mind. A bonus, you can use this to check the temperature on bottles and food!

Works well. This is FDA approved so should be much more accurate than some other thermometers. I have compared it a few times to a hospital thermometer and it's spot on. There are some caveats though. Wearing a hat will mess up the reading as the hat will cause the forehead to be warmer if covered. Also, sweat definitely changes the temperature. Otherwise, I'd recommend. These days, everyone should have a thermometer at home. Get it while on sale!
