This smartphone has been really fun to use and get to know.
The screen size and camera quality was excellent and the speaker was crystal clear.
The only problems I've had with this phone was the lag and errors with the camera app and the processing issues with the captures saving to the SD card.
Often the camera would indicate an error, the camera would automatically switch from external SD card storage to internal storage and sometimes corrupt the external drive / files.
Most recently when I was trying to download a film via Amazon Prime Video, the device went blank and it was an effort to bring the screen back on.
Soon later I realized to my dismay, the phone couldn't recognize nor read the SD card files anymore.
I received a notification notifying me that there was a problem with my Samsung SD card. It gave me the option to format the card, which I skipped, I didn't want to compromise my thousands of files on the card which could of potentially be recovered.
Reseting the phone didn't fix the issue, nor did removing and reinserting the card.
Luckily, I was still able to access most of my SD card files on my Laptop via an SD adapter, only about 7 of the over 10,000 files were corrupt. It was over 160GBs of photos and videos, I copied them to another drive.
I'm unsure if it was just faulty drives or the phone which was causing the corruption and camera problems, but I'm amusing it's the phone, I've used several external SD card brands and GB sizes with this phone, and I've experienced similar camera launch errors, the camera lag is the same even without using an SD card.
Anyway, other than the camera errors, the photos and videos are beautiful and look fantastic displayed on larger monitors.
The additional features on Android 11 were also cool as well, my favorites were the screen recorder and three-finger screen capture function.
This phone originally had Android 10, I waited months for the Android 11 update, however it was well worth it.
The battery life is pretty long, however, I think it began to degrade with age, draining quicker with every month.
The Phone's USB C connection to my laptop seemed to be a bit flakey, disconnecting and reconnecting with slight movements, making it challenging for consistent file transfers.
External File transfer speeds take a little while, expect to wait over 10 minutes to transfer a few videos from the internal storage to the SD card.
There is some lag with the phone, but for the most part it is pretty speedy.
It handles mobile games and internet tasks pretty well, and I've reached my goals with several video games and tasks with this phone.
It has a really crisp and clear call quality, and it handles Video call meetings very smoothly.
The phone has also been a good alarm clock for me, it always manages to wake me up on time when I set the alarm.
Durability was super, although I had it in a protective case and screen protector, it survived several falls and being cleaned with soapy wipes.
The audio transmission and quality through both its Bluetooth and 3.5 audio connector are excellent, and I appreciate that the phone had a 3.5 connection input.
I must rave about the cool and near endless features again,
a few of my other favorites were the ability to activate the flashlight by shaking the phone,
flipping the phone to open the camera
and my all time favorite, the time lapse camera. The time lapse camera was so cool and I've made several professional looking time-lapse videos with this feature, it was very intuitive and I was able to set the speed of the time lapse as well.
For the price, this is an excellent smartphone, the performance and photography was phenomenal.
The features were practical, productive, time-saving and fun.
I initially purchased and used this phone for doing better live-streams, and it fulfilled that near perfectly, the battery, memory and quality were adequate enough for consistent and enjoyable live streams.
I've had a lot of fun and good memories using this phone, and I'm interested to see what Motorola would cook up in the future.
Thanks so much for the fun experience and thank you readers for reading my review!

Phone sent loosely in a small box with along with a small sheet of bubble wrap just sitting on top of phone (it should have been wrapped by the bubble wrap.
Charging cord is a USB C type, but wall charger adapter was a USB A type.
So in other words I could not charge the phone before activating it.
No sim card was included nor did the ad state that you would have to purchase a new sim card.
For $1 you would think Best Buy would include a sim card in the offer.
So here I sit with a cell phone not able to charge until I receive both the proper charging cord and wall adapter
Oh and yes a sim card!
Best Buy dropped the ball big time on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
