Performance has been good. I guess it can be better, but overall a decent phone. Price wise it was also ok.

I upgraded to the Moto G Second Generation after having the First Generation version for about 18 months. Pretty much the same great phone, just bigger. You can't beat the Moto G's value - it has features and performance usually found only in more expensive phones. Why spend more? I've never felt there is any kind of "status" in overpaying.

This phone is very good, it has a great camera, just the right size to fit in your pocket and the price is great. I was tired of spending so much for a smart phone until I saw this one.

Great Phone For $180 Off Contract

First of all I am a cellular phone fanatic. In the last 5 years I have owned: HTC Imagio. Original Droid. Motorola Droid X. Samsung Galaxy S. Sprint Nexus S. Samsung Droid Charge. HTC ThunderBolt. Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Samsung Galaxy Note2. Samsung GalaxyS4. HTC One. MotoX. MotoX Dev Ed. HTC One M8. Samsung Galaxy Note3. And the Nexus5. The MotoG (2014) is a great phone at that $180 price point. It runs almost stock Android (a newer version than the flagship Note3). Screen is big and decent. Sound is good (better than the Nexus 5 or Note3). It can be a little laggy at times (switching orientations is especially noticeable). Camera is meh. But here's the thing... It's $180 OFF CONTRACT!!!! You can forgive a bit of "meh" at that price point. Bottom line is I'd much prefer the MotoG over most of those flagships phones I have listed. It feels good in the hand. And it is not bloated by OEM skins like ToucWiz or Sense.

I love just about everything with this phone. It is super easy to use and is a comfortable size. The price is great and my favorite part is I no longer have to use my fingers to text! I liked it so well I bought my daughter one too.

At $180, it's hard to beat for a non-contract phone. I have Net10 as my carrier, and I wish that BB carried more options for GSM non-contract phones, but the Moto G is very capable. I would also prefer a 16 GB option, but 8 GB with a microSD card slot works fine. It's not cutting edge by any stretch, but it runs Lollipop very well, and feels sturdy in the hand.

    Worked Great at First, but......

Phone worked great at first...loved it, but after having it for about 4 or 5 weeks the battery started to go from full to dead in a short amount of time with no heavy usage. Looked it up on Google and found that this is a common problem with this phone. Going to try the "battery calibration" to see if that helps. Of course the lower the battery, the slower the phone works.

The design is perfect. Its feels so comfortable and smooth in my hand. The camera is very good considering the overall price of the phone. And the stereo speakers can be compared with the best in the market. I'll definitely recommend this phone to anyone that seeks good quality at affordable price!

Good basic quality phone. Bought for my daughter transitioning from a pay as you go carrier to her first Android phone. Decent price, good call quality, good camera quality overall. Bought the same phone for son who broke his last 2 and husband really just getting over losing his flip phone(lol)!

I was looking for an unlocked smartphone to use with Tracfone "bring your own phone" service because of handicap related difficulties with the use of my old TF phone. I am very satisfied with the larger size of the device and the ease of use of the Motorola G 2nd gen. it has made my cellphone use much easier. The back cover easily pops open to insert SIM cards once you learn the technique. The only slightly negative point maybe for some the need to have the phone "serviced" for battery change since the battery is not accessible to the user.

Based upon many reviews of cell phones costing less than $200, purchase of this phone was a no brainer. Upon purchasing the phone, I took it across the street to the AT&T store for setup of a "Go Phone" service. Tried it out from the store, took it home, entered my stuff, and really loved the phone. Unfortunately the AT&T service has deteriorated so badly in my area I could not get service in my home or nearby neighborhood. In that this phone only works with GSM carriers, I returned the phone for full refund from Best Buy with absolutely no hassle.

display colors are great, takes good pictures. overall I like it but I had to change it like 3 times because they all came with defects on the screen. Screen it's very sensitive so if you're planning on getting this phone be very careful with it, don't press it to hard and DO NOT drop it.

There is nothing that I don't like about this phone. One of the things that surprised me was the crisp and clear photos and videos. I bought it on sale for $100 and it holds up very well to the (very) expensive phones my friends have. I recommend that you try this phone you will not regret your purchase.
