I am not happy about the purchase of this model. It was suppose to be an upgrade (i had an older HTC). This was NOT an upgrade. In fact I should have held on to the old phone. Too may issues to bother describing. Don't buy this one. You be sorry.

Since i bought it's 1 year, now the touchscreen stop working sometimes. And it start hanging even after i restart it. It's a bad factory smartphone and waste of money.

First phone I bought had light bleed from the edges. Second phone I exchanged for had battery drain issues and ghost touches. I had to return it as well. I have a 1st gen Moto G LTE, and feel Lenovo really dropped the ball on their first 'under their name' Moto G. Maybe next year's model will be good.

This phone would be great for someone who's elderly or just as a spare. The phone gets stuck and screen won't unlock. It's weird you don't have a gallery to store pictures...you have to download an app to store pictures.

Worked as expected initially, but problems developed with charging the battery due to loose usb port. Problem worsened to the point phone could not be charged and had to be replaced.

Nice user friendly phone but it has some glitches. The main issue was that the phone wouls spazz out and malfunction very frequently. I would have to restart to fix the phone each time.

Everything google just didn't work for me. It seemed like a nice looking phone. One of the things it was doing was shutting down and restarting all by itself constantly.

    Excellent value

This phone is an excellent value. Sure, you could impress your friends with a flagship Samsung, or LG product. But unless you're doing side-by-side comparisons, the camera is not going to make a big difference. For most everyday tasks, this Moto G4 excels. The screen images are bright and sharp. I have small hands, but 5.5" still does not feel large, maybe because it seems lighter than other phones of that size. The battery life is great. I can go a whole day of moderate usage without recharging. Unless you're coming from a flagship phone, you probably won't miss any feature in this phone. The only exception in my mind is that the phone does not support NFC. If that's not a deal-breaker, then you have to consider whether the features in a flagship are worth the extra $400-$500 that you would pay. I also believe that this Moto G4 compares very favorably with other phones in the low- to mid-priced segment.

    Excellent Phone, Outstanding Price

I was in the market to replace my 1st Generation Moto G, as it was beginning to slow, running out of storage space, causing me to have to tailor or eliminate apps, as well as closely monitor other system functions. It had upgraded from Android 4.4 to 5.1 little over a year ago, and I was ready for a device with Android 6. I performed an extensive search, trying to balance a reputable manufacturer (brand loyalty not being a major factor), good device reviews, with an attractive price. I've now had this phone for 2 weeks and I am extremely pleased. It has what I need in a smartphone -- unlocked GSM (I'm off to Europe in August for a few weeks), running Android 6, with good screen size, sharpness and clarity, decent memory capability with the option to add an internal SD card. So far, its performance has been stellar (acknowledging the very short time span) -- fast processing speed, good display size and clarity, good battery life, excellent style and feel. At $199, with a $50 Best Buy reward gift card in return (which I received yesterday in the mail), I paid slightly less for this Moto G than my older version in 2013. To say the least, I am very pleased with this purchase. I do expect to get several more good years of service from this new generation Moto G, with at least another future manufacturer-pushed Android update.
