Motorola has the best budget friendly phones there is. With the great low prices plus the phones do exactly what the expensive flagships do and sometimes even better. If you are on a small budget and need a phone then I would definitely pick up a moto g 4. I have had the moto g 1,2,3, and 4 and none of them has ever failed me. Also Motorola phone are typically the first phones to get the latest Android software update right after Nexus devices.

This phone is my replacement for the previous model. I use the as my phone, & my internet at home & needed it to keep up with the hotspot demand & power usage. It does wonderful on both & the turbocharger is great! Takes only 15 minutes to charge up from 20% battery!! It works super fast with Facebook & all the apps running while still making the hotspot work great, which the old G3 couldn't do without not using the phone itself. It's one downside it that it does get kinda warm when charging on the turbocharger, but it is charging the battery fast, so makes sense. Great phone for someone who wants no bloated stuff from the cell provider & nice price!!

Had to buy unlocked phone due to damage to existing phone under contract. The Moto G 4G LTE offers several good features for the $200 price. Happy with purchase and helpful staff as I asked lots of questions about the different available models.

As the title says, I've been waiting a long time for this. Think of this phone as a less powerful Nexus phone. Even the the processor isn't flagship-level, I have not had any hint of slowdown. I also came from an lg k7, and I also bought one for myself and my girlfriend like the other reviewer. This phone has a big, sharp screen and great build. I am very, very impressed. 100% recommendation from me.

OK... this isn't a S7 or iPhone 7 or any other $700 phone. But for the $199 (or $149 if price-matched), it's a great deal. Good camera, great screen, responsive chipset/speed. All together a great deal for the price. Highly recommend.

This is the 4th Android smartphone I've owned over the years and I really like it. It gives a lot of value for the price.

This is was bought as a gift and came at affordable price for an android smart phone. Doesnt have the latest Android OS but still works well. Battery life isn't great.

I had an old LG Phone; and it was time to upgrade to a newer phone. I spent hours searching for an affordable phone that would be compatible with my carrier. I found the right one; love it; now to find a case for it.

I use this phone as a GPS and to watch videos. It's a good size, simple device with an excellent screen display. The price is reasonable too.

I don't know why I waited so long to replace my old phone. I am very happy with this one. Nice size. Does everything. Fast. No complaints.

Bought this for the wife after she broke her Galaxy Note. This is a great phone at a great price. Never sign a contract again when you can get a great unlocked phone for this price.

I ordered the phone during pre-release and to be honest i was a bit skeptical about the performance. This is a great device. It is not bulky and feels comfortable. It has a good grip and the best part, comes with almost stock android. No bloatware. Octa core processor, 2GB ram, 13MP cam & the SD card slot all great for this price. I run multiple apps and i noticed no lag when switching between apps. The other great thing is prompt software updates. Absolutely recommend it. The only thing is may be a little more brightness would be good as it would help for better viewing in sunlight. But thats something most can live that.

Can't go wrong for the price. Works great and takes nice pictures.

Both me and my wife bought one of these and we love them! The screen is bright, the photos and videos look fantastic. Snappy performance. Perfect phone for average users.

tl;dr: MAJOR performance issues from the start, which got worse over time. When I first got the phone, I had issues with it holding a charge (died with less than 4 hours of use), & with it "ghosting", which means that the phone keeps thinking that I am clicking on it even when I am not touching it. I bought this phone in late October. It is now May, & this phone is barely useable because of these 2 issues, & more. It is now ghosting to the point that it often takes me 20 minutes to convince it to stop ghosting (cleaning the screen doesn't do any good) so that I can actually use it. If I need to make a phone call in an emergency, I'm screwed because the ghosting issue is so bad that the phone won't acknowledge anything else I try to do until the ghosting issue is resolved. The battery will randomly decide that, while it is plugged in, it's going to use more juice than it is charging... to sit on a shelf with the screen turned off, & no apps running. I am having to turn the phone completely off to get it to charge for even a short period of time. The battery is also getting super hot, to the point that I can barely touch the phone, even when I'm not using it. The only way to get it to cool down is to power it off completely, which is often hard to get it to do with the ghosting issues. The heat issues are worsened whenever I try to charge the phone & use it at the same time. Oh, here's an important thing to note that isn't a performance issue: There's NO "restart" option. You can power your phone off & on, & that's it. If you want to restart it, you can to turn it off & wait for it to power down fully before turning it back on yourself. I've never had a phone that doesn't have a "restart" option. When it's having a performance issue, this is annoying to deal with. And the battery can only be removed with a screw driver, so if the phone freezes, you have to hold down the power button in the hopes that that will turn the phone off & fix the issue when you're finally able to turn it back on. These problems, individually, aren't a big deal. But when combined with one another, they make me start shopping for a new phone, & I expected this phone to last me for at least a year. Not 6 months. I am really not happy with my purchase. I will say, this phone's memory capacity is pretty fantastic. I use my phone to make a living, so I have far more than the average number of apps installed to my phone, & have never been told that I'm running out of memory or space or anything, nor has it ever run slow (except for when it's getting hot, which is to be expected of any phone). The battery in this phone cannot be taken out or replaced by your average cell phone owner, which is a big problem for me, because at least half of my issues with this phone could be resolved with a new battery. The other half with a new screen.

This phone has pretty impressive specs: 8-core processor, nice camera but for a $200 phone why is there no NFC? And no fingerprint reader? This won't work with Android Pay! So disappointed as I thought this phone would be perfect for me! Guess I'm going back to the Samsung...

I bought this phone for my dad as an upgrade for my dad's Moto G 2nd gen and i must admit my dad is the happiest person now. With expandable memory he's got huge storage options, the camera flawless, turbo charged worked better than my expectation. Phone is faster, efficient and looks to be durable. Good job Moto for this device and Best Buy for the reasonable price(it was cheaper by $50 at Best Buy)
