I have owned this phone now for several months and I can tell you from my experience with my new moto g4 play and at this point I think the Moto is as good as any phone out there. I gave this 4 stars only because I never do 5 stars unless it's an exceptional product.

Works fantastically well, especially considering the price is fairly low. You might need to buy a BYOD kit, though.

Quality product from Motorola. No bloatware, snappy processor, and enough even enough power to remote connect to my desktop at home and work with no lag or shudder. Can't say that for similarly priced LG's nor Samsung's.

Impressive performance / slim & light weight ... slides easily in and out of a pocket ... I would not trade this for a fancy iphone ... Simplistic design with lighten speed and function.

2GB of Ram is simply not enough for a Moto device. After the latest update the memory usage is so high that it will restart the phone on its own! Several times per week it will do this. For a kid this phone is ok, but don't load it up with games and stuff because it can not handle it.

It is great phone for the price. I bought it for $199.00 and got $50.00 Best Buy gift card.

A great price (8 GB model), but the clarity of the call to the person receiving the call was terrible, not usable, and the connection was cutting out. I took it back to and exchanged it for another -- same model. I took it right away to T-Mobile to install a brand new SIM card. (Actually, with SIM card activation is immediate.) But the SAME problem occurred. This was with local calls and out of state to a different carrier. I should have asked Best Buy staff to verify this problem, but instead just bought the Moto G3 for $150 which performs perfectly well, more convenient size. Nonetheless, I did like the features and performance of the G4.

Got this for my 12 year old son & use straight talk service. After a couple weeks, he dropped it at the end of our driveway. I found it there the next day - it was ran over by a car!! It was in a case and had a cheap glass screen protector. The case was a little smashed, the screen protector shattered - but the phone still works great! Much tougher than I expected!

This phone was not my first choice but it was pointed out to me by a employee and it seemed decent so I took a chance , it is great and rarely do I see it slow in terms of performance

This phone is ok. It lacks earbuds, fingerprint. A phone will be warm after an hour of surfing the internet. Note: turn off GPS (location), it drains very quickly.

When the phone is working properly, it's a nice phone. Powerful enough, little lag, a mostly stock Android experience. But, unfortunately, this phone has two major known issues I've never experienced before that prevent me from leaving a positive review. 1. All the App permissions randomly reset every couple of weeks causing my to have to set them again each time I use an app. The only solution for this is to clear the Cache Partition, and then wait for the problem to return again a couple of weeks later. Ridiculous, and a pain in the neck 2. The other problem is, I use the phone as a GPS (Waze) and randomly, the phone seems to go into a flickering state where apps and notifications just start flashing on the screen. This happens right in the middle of my driving, which can be dangerous at worst, and a HUGE nuisance at best. Only solution is to restart the phone. Just unacceptable at this point, and Moto help has been useless to date.

I purchased this phone as a replacement for a Samsung Galaxy S5. It was highly recommended by the employees at my local Bestbuy and seemed to offer the most bang for my buck. I initially was pleasantly surprised with the phone. Unfortunately, after owning the phone for 2 weeks it began to shut on an off constantly without any prompting. Initially, I could remedy the problem by restarting the phone manually, but eventually that no longer worked. After 3 weeks, the issues continued and the phone stopped recognizing my brand new name brand micro-SD card. After spending hours with Motorola customer service, they agreed that the phone was defective and offered to replace the phone for $25. I was otherwise pleased with the phone when it worked (although the camera lacks stabilization making most of your photos blurry). My customer service experience alone was enough to ensure that I will not purchase a Motorola phone in the future.

I was grateful for Grant, salesperson who assisted me in this purchase. He explained features and educated me in several ways. He explained that this phone was able to withstand hard blows. I did in fact drop it on a hard surface and it wasn't damaged.

This phone is amazing. It will work with any Carrier. I am currently using it with a sim card from total wireless. the phone is just amazing it does everything I need it to. I feel that this phone is better quality than the Samsung galaxy note 5.

After an unfortunate accident with his aging Samsung, we chose an unlocked, less expensive phone. After the basic learning curve (he hates change!), husband is now very happy with his new Moto G. yay

I recently purchased Moto G4 phone for my wife. its excellent phone to use.

Great phone! Using it with Tracfone. Easy activation with the special card. I would buy it again.

Have been using motorola (moto g 3rd generation) for the past 1 year and this one definitely met the expectations.
