Best Phone for the Price in 2017!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an expensive flagship from 2016, I decided to save some money and opt for a less-expensive device this year, and came upon the Moto G5 Plus. Initially, I was torn whether to buy the lower-end model (with 2GB of RAM), or pay extra for double the RAM/storage. In the end, I decided on the lower-end model, and I am glad I did. The performance of this phone is excellent. Coming from a flagship, I noticed absolutely no lag or slow-downs whatsoever (and I use many apps, from social media to games to productivity). The only time I noticed that the phone had limited RAM was when apps would occasionally re-load when multi-tasking, but this wasn't a big deal. Unless you intend to use graphic-intensive or RAM-hungry apps, I would go for the lower end model. The phone has expandable storage via a microSD card, but I never needed this; 32GB is plenty of storage for my needs. Coming from a Quad-HD display, I never complained about this 1080p screen. It is clear and sharp, and gets bright enough for when you're outside, and dim enough for at-night use. It's smaller than I'm used to, but Motorola included gestures in the fingerprint reader (which is good, too) that allows you to remove the on-screen navigation buttons on the bottom in-lieu of the gestures. It take a little while to get used too, but I ended up enjoying this feature, and the extra screen was nice. The phone has a single front-facing speaker embedded in the earpiece, and it is fine, through it isn't nearly as loud as I am used too. Don't expect to hear anything coming from the speaker in a loud room. In my experience, the battery life is the single best thing about this phone. I consistently got two full days worth of use per charge, with about 6 hours of screen-on time between the two days. I'll admit, it takes about 3 hours to charge from empty to full, but personally, this wasn't much of an issue. My only real complaint about the phone is the camera - it's mediocre at best. Even in the best lighting conditions, the photos it takes aren't very sharp, and there always seems to be background noise, regardless of what the subject is. Perhaps I am just used to a flagship smartphone camera, but if you need a smartphone that takes good pictures, I would look somewhere else. If you're like me, and only take a few pictures anyway, this really isn't a big issue. Overall, I was deeply impressed with this phone. Coming from a flagship smartphone, I wouldn't of guessed that a phone that cost $500 less than my previous phone could bring this much value. I never had problems with service connectivity, and almost all the aspects of this phone are comparable to that of much-more expensive flagship device. I highly recommend this smartphone to almost anyone!

Great mid-range device.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was priced ridiculously affordable, while still being a blessed to deliver a package worthy of a tier above it. It was given as a gift to replace a Moto G2 and it very obviously is night and day in terms of difference. The aluminum build gives a more premium feel. It does add more weight too it overall, but I enjoy it. The 3000mah battery with the turbo charge make this a great phone I for me. Lack of NFC is disappointing but not a deal breaker. We'll have to see how the camera fairs in regard to normal wear and tear since it's hump protrudes from the rest of the phone. It might necessitate a case.

Great phone for all!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very fast downloading and very easy to operate. It does take a little to get used to compared to my Samsung Galaxy S3 but does not disappoint. It comes with plenty of memory and ram to handle any situation. The camera is easy to use and works brilliantly.

Excellent price for great smart phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am upgrading from a Moto G4 to the Moto G5 plus with 32gb. Chose both the gray phone for me, and the gold phone for the wife's Xmas gift. Very pleased with the clarity of the screen, thin design, camera, and most attractive price for the Moto phones.

Nice features, Simple UI and Great Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for an inlaw to replace an older device. There hasn't been any issues using the device and compared to the Nexus 5 they were using the pictures are great! It's not a power user's device, but neither is the price.

Not a bad phone but not great..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Motorola G5 Plus is a good phone but the 32 GB memory phone needed more than two gigabytes of RAM because of that it often stutters and is sometimes extremely slow... Also it's sort of maddening that they released g5s Plus and charged not much more for it... The g5s had a lot of the things that made the G5 Plus not so great... My recommendation is to spend a little extra and get the GS Plus... Why they didn't just make the G5 Plus good in the beginning I'll never know... For mid-range phone it's about typical sound is weak camera is pretty good the look not great screen is pretty good I would not recommend buying this phone I only had it in June and I've already replaced it in October that. 4 the LG G6 which is a really good phone

Unexpected!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a user of ASUS phones mostly because of the battery life. I use my phone constantly throughout the work day and I don't like a phone that is over the 5.2 inches to make it easy to carry. I did a lot of research and found the MOTO being close to what I wanted. Unexpectedly I have found it to be very fluid and fast. The battery life is great and it feels and acts much more upscale. Needless to say I am very surprised and happy with this phone.

Perfect for those who need a decent cellphone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a mobile game lover, rarely run games on my cellphones. So this is exactly what I need. 4G LTE, a relatively recent operating system (Android 7.0), decent storage(32G), long battery life, and since I only install apps that are necessary, this runs as smoothly as it gets! As for camera, it's fair to say you get what you pay for, so in terms of the price, this phone has done everything it can! Very satisfied about this purchase!

One Great Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like all of us, I've had several cell phones over the years. This Moto Plus (5th Gen.) is probably the best, and certainly the best for the price. It's my second Moto phone, and I thought it was the best until it wasn't. You get top-tier features for a mid-range price. It's fast, the battery lasts all day, the cameras are good--maybe as good as the more expensive ones. It's durable and reliable. I've used lots of apps with it too.

Perfect for Me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am with Straight Talk and wanted a phone with some decent storage (most Straight Talk phones only have 8gb of internal storage). I have never had a Motorola so I thought I'd give this a try. It's perfect for me; 32gb of internal storage, great pictures, and an excellent price. The battery life is great. I have the normal social media apps and a couple of games, all work with no problems. Overall this is a great phone for the price.

Great camera with light settings!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works seamlessly and is a really good buy for the price. The absence of the forward/back software defined buttons drives me nuts. Taking off 1 star for the absence of forward/back buttons you use every day! In order to have them on this device it will have to be rooted. I do like Motorolla's camera software that can really AID in the prevention of taking dark photos. It is awesome!!! Better than any camera on a phone that I have used previously (owned Nexus 5 and 6P). Great buy for the price!

Moto G5 Plus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the phone and the price. It's very FAST. Ocotocore processor is very quick. I like the size 5.2 inches, screen clarity and the camera is great. Does everything my note used to but for a much more reasonable price. It is almost the perfect size was tired of the large bulky samsung note. Very easy to use and set up battery lasts all day. For 229 bucks unlocked at Best Buy you cant go wrong.
