I bought this phone for my wife. She is difficult to buy for, she does not like to change. She loves this phone. I like it too. It is a feature loaded phone for a good price. It goes a long way on a charge. And is very easy to use. This is a bunch of phone for the money.

For the price this is a nice phone with almost everything that I want. I was surprised to find that it did not have NFC, so good-bye to Android Pay until my next phone. Also, this phone will not work consistently with the August Smart Lock Pro. The only way I have been ablt to get a Bluetooth connection to the lock is by turning off WiFi. Strangely, my wife's slightly older Moto G4 Play has no problem connecting to the August Lock

This is a pretty good phone, excellent value for the price. It was easy to set up and use. It has some nice features like the fingerprint reader (set up with several of my fingers for ease of use), the chop chop to turn on the flashlight, and the battery life. The only problem is the power key next to the volume and not on the other side. Constantly turning it off when trying to turn down the volume. I would recommend it though.

I had a Google Pixel and it was stolen, so I was in a pinch for a new phone. This was a fine replacement at a great cost while I consider an upgrade to the Google Pixel 2. I'll probably just stick with this phone because the battery life seems to be better than the Pixel and the user experience is essentially the same. The only thing I miss is the Pixel camera. This one is definitely not as good, but not a bad a camera overall.

When it's time for me to buy a new phone, I always look for a good deal. I don't need the latest flagship phone, I just want one that's reasonably priced and well reviewed. Typically it takes me a lot of research to find the right one amidst so many choices. Not this time. A number of high profile reviewers say this is THE budget-priced phone that gives you the features you would expect in a higher-end phone. I totally agree. I've had the phone three weeks and I love it more every day. If you want to save time and money looking for a good deal on a phone and buy one you won't regret, look no further. Pros: 32 GB ram Good battery life Great camera for the price 8 core processor Fingerprint lock Very useful display when phone is first picked up Looks and feels great Cons: I haven't found any yet. If the specs on this phone aren't good enough for you, you don't deserve to own a phone for this little money.

I was looking for a quality phone with at least 32 GB storage. I'd researched the Moto G plus 5th generation and liked all the features. It has turned out to be as it was highly rated. Sound and camera are great! The price is definitely fair for a quality phone.

Very happy with the moto G5+. Took some time to get use to Motorola again after switching to Samsung but have always enjoyed the droids. For the price it's a great purchase. No problems so far. Strongly suggest if looking for unlocked reasonable price phone

Bought this for my dad. It is a solid device with a very clean version of android. The camera is good, but not excellent, probably on par with an iphone 5s. The device is pretty quick at switching between apps and bringing up the camera. Screen is good, but not great. Wrap all these things up in a very cheap package and its a great deal. Best phone for the buck.

I purchased this phone for my husband after a recommendation from a sales rep in the store. I am tired of paying high prices for a phone that will only last 3 years at most. Since it is an unlocked phone it doesn't have the apps from the provider that I don't want or need. This manufacturer does not put bloatware on their phones. It is very similar to the Galaxy S5 we replaced.

This is a great smartphone for the price. If you're looking for something like a new Samsung Galaxy S8 or iPhone 7, this might not meet your desires. It doesn't have that type of processor or those types of capabilities. That being said, it's still a great phone for the price that it is. If you're looking for a reliable and very capable smartphone but you're on more of a budget, then this is a great phone for you. It works very well and still takes nice pictures. I don't think it has quite as loud of speakers as some of the more premium smartphones out there, and the same goes for the call quality. It also doesn't have any waterproof/dustproofing as far as I know. But again, if you're looking for a smartphone that doesn't have all the extra specs that Galaxies and other premium phones do, this is a great phone for you.

i recently wanted to get my lady a new phone she is actually prefers a smaller phone, that fits in small bags, and clutches. I didn't want her to have a toy phone, or a blurry screen, this phone has an hd screen and great processor speed and battery life, its built nicely and looks like it should cost more. so with said you can't go wrong if you prefer the smaller form factor.

Why buy a new $1000 smartphone that, in all reality does little more than some of the older phones for much much less? This is a great phone and has an available sd card slot that holds 128 or 256gb of extra photos, music, etc without uploading all your personal stuff to the “cloud” which we all know isn’t very private or secure anymore. Do it & save yourself some dough!

I chose the moto gplus for it's large display, affordability and good reviews. It was easy to set up and input contacts. The camera produces pretty good pictures and the charge lasts longer than expected. I have not been disappointed.

I am not used to buying non-flagship phones (actually I only bought Samsung Galaxy phones) so I was a little cautious about buying this one but all the great reviews sold me and they were all right. I really only bought this phone because my Samsung Galaxy S6 plus fell in the water so I needed a cheap smart phone temporarily until I can pay off the more expensive one. It was only about $200 and it does MOST of the flagship does with exception of NFC stuff and other minor things. But does everything I need for the most part so I may end up switching to the cheaper phones now knowing they can deliver the near-experience as the flagships! Plus I always loved Motorola products so maybe it's time to just switch and try other non-mainstream phones like Galaxy or iPhone.

I purchased this phone for my 11-year-old 6th grade son as his first cell phone. He loves it! It is a nice phone for the price, especially if you don't care to spend a lot. He plays games, surfs the internet, watches You Tube....really he can do most everything I do on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. This is a good choice for budget-minded people.

Great phone. I got this phone for my daughter who is 14. She uses it for everything but the phone. She loves it! When we are ready to get her service set up on the phone it will be great to be able to choose our own provider since there are several providers to choose from.

A great alternative to a flagship Android phone

I'm a fan of investing in an unlocked phone and not signing 2-year contracts with major carriers so this works perfectly. Also, the price point is about midrange so it's more expensive than an economy phone, but you do get the watered down features of a flagship phone without dropping 7 to 8 bills. The Current Android 7.0 that it runs is now outdated but there is the talk of an upgrade to 8.0 Oreo later this 2018 year. The previous Moto G models used to be water resistant, however, this G5 model doesn't claim to be anymore. The most attractive feature, in my opinion, is the ability to add an external Micro SD card and format it as NATIVE INTERNAL MEMORY! So you might be buying the Moto G5 32gb model, but if you invest in a 64gb sd card, for example, you are able to use 96gb as space to install apps and use for internal memory. Of course, the full space is not available due to Android System use and formatting restrictions, but the point is that you'll not have to run out of memory as you would with most internal memory restricted phones. The processor is conservative and 2gb of memory is a little light, but haven't really run into problems yet. I noticed that some heavy memory applications crash from time to time (Gmail, facebook messenger) but only if I forget I have 10 applications running. The rear 12mp camera is adequate. Great pictures if it's a perfect environment because the ability to correct for conditions is very basic. The front camera is decent (5mp). And the Fingerprint sensor is extremely useful as a lot of apps are now integrating that as a secure sign-in which saves time. It includes a Turbopower Charger which is nice if you need a quick charge, but the battery usually lasts me all day until I'm able to charge it at night even with a lot of processes running (location, wi-fi, cell standby on). Overall, it's a great phone and had had the G model since the 3rd generation and am impressed with its features versus the price comparison.
