Competitive midrange phone that won’t be hard on your wallet. I like the simple build quality..doesn’t feel cheap and kind of compact for easier handling. Using this as a back up everyday phone and performance is really good. Screen is nice especially consuming media. OS is close to stock Android. Camera is also good for the price. Got this for $120ish..definitely a buy!

I've only had it for three weeks... But Good so far. Phone is a bit heavy, but battery life is outstanding. Had it connected to T-Mobile network, no issues. Apps everything seems to work with no issues. Wife just got a new iPhone SE, and while of course its a apple/orange (android) comparison. Got to say, I prefer my G7 Play at almost 1/3 the cost.

I recently purchased 3 of these for my inlaws and mother. They are not power users at all and for the money, these are great phones. All were activated on Verizon (this was tough because the IMEI number is locked to a specific phone, but neither my receipt nor order showed which one...so write that down before placing order of mulitples). The one thing that I don't like is that wifi calling is not even an option, even though it is supported by both Motorola and Verizon. One of these phones is being used in an area with almost no cell reception, so having wifi calling is important.

Very good product for the price!! It's served all the purposes i need it for! I don't play games on it that require a lot of processing power, but I'm still able to play a lot of what's available for anyone who is concerned about playing simple games on it. It does great with calls, texts, messengers, gps, etc. etc. The camera is pretty decent too! My only gripe is that i've had problems with it freezing once in a blue moon, and that it is very easy to break, so make sure you get a really sturdy cover! I'm clumsy, so we got a pretty hefty case for it - dropped it lord knows how many times now and it's yet to crack.

I'm actually still learning all the ins and outs of the phone. I like the phone software, camera eh...ok for my needs and budget, hard to find a nice selection of phone covers online. It's a bit slippery with out one. I found one tha sort of works for now from a reuse store. But yeah, things got hectic this week and I was using the notes feature, developed a more robust contact list for my needs and it all kept me organized as I was dealing with health care systems and medical issues regarding my wonderful 99 year old friend who is like a girl friend to me. We dish the latest on every issue, she is amazing. She said I was so organized several times, bless her heart, she didn't know I had a moto! Keeping me a float and ready to address any issue that came up! It was amazing, really. I impressed myself. Yeah, I'm happy with my phone. I call it my side kick now.

This phone meets MY need perfectly. It has a good camera, decent processor, amazing battery life, isn't unreasonably large, and a good price. It is a phone for people secure with their own identity and don't feel the need to impress others.

When my Samsung Galaxy S6 started to fail I looked for a reasonably priced reliable cell phone. After visiting my local Best Buy store and talking to the sales person I felt that the Motorola Moto G7 would be a good choice for me. Reasonably priced and sturdy I went with the entry level G7 play. I am an older guy who does not need a phone for gaming or streaming but rather a phone to make calls, send messages, check email and access the web and this phone provides me with all. I was a bit concerned about the lower RAM than I had on my Samsung but honestly that has not been a problem for my use at all. I love the finger print option start up on the back of the phone. It is much better than what I had on my Samsung. Battery life for my use is good too and much better than the Galaxy 6S. I get about two full days of charge with moderate use. I would recommend this phone to someone looking for a reasonable and reliable phone. So far after 1 week of use I am very satisfied and happy.

Can't really compare it to others that I have owned seeing that this is my first smart phone. I've owned a number of Android tablets so there wasn't much of a learning curve. I added an EVO Plus 128 GB micro SD card (Samsung) and formatted it to extend internal memory. Moved some apps already installed to it and they are working fine. New apps are being installed to it without any intervention by me. The price was right at $169.99 and it feels like the right size for me.

It's a size smaller than my Motorola droid but it fits my hand well so I have to learn to manage. Battery stays up good if you control the blue tooth function. Over all it was a great buy at the right time.

Motorola makes great phones. This is the fifth moto I have purchased. They last a long time. This aren't crammed with preinstalled bloat apps. And the unlocked phones you can use with any carrier. Best buy has the best prices. And I always get the geek squad protection.

This is an excellent phone with a good camera. Is it state of the art? No. Will most people notice the small differences between this and a $1000 phone? No. (Okay, yes, if you look at the logo. But otherwise, the differences are there if you look hard enough, but not visible in normal day-to-day usage.)

This is an awesome phone for the price. Great camera, battery life is crazy long. Facial recognition works great as does fingerprint sensor. The only thing that I could complain about a little bit is the lack of NFC function, but no biggy. Very slim phone, great design.

Bought it because we travel a lot and it’s unlocked so we can use different carriers. Also, if you have unlimited data and you know how to set it up, it’s a good little hotspot for other devices to connect. Camera is not outstanding, but decent. No problems with phone, messages, sound. I like the big screen and resolution when streaming video. Little ones like to play games and listen to music. And it’s not so expensive that I worry about it’s possible destruction in our children’s hands.

The Moto G7 play seems to be the bottom of the line of G7's but it works well for me. I'm not much of a geek but I figured it out pretty quick. Best Buy had the best price and the service is outstanding

Good, basic Android phone. Excellent battery life. Great price for performance. Voice quality is not up to the level of my Note9 but for the kids this is really hard to beat. Well worth the $$.

Handles all basic functions (phone calls, photo's, email and texts) to my satisfaction. Battery is adequate for 3 days of light use. My only complaint so far is that I can't independently adjust the ring volume and notification volume. If I can hear the ringer, I get blasted every time I receive a text. My main reason for selecting the phone is the size. I don't watch many videos on my phone, so I didn't want a huge device. The size of the G7 Play is perfect for me.
