Customers are saying

Customers love the Moto G7 for its budget-friendly price, improved camera, and long battery life. They appreciate its user-friendly interface and ample storage. While some users wish it had NFC and wireless charging capabilities, the phone's slippery design and average sound quality are minor drawbacks.

My son breaks/loses his phones on the regular. So, instead of burning through $600 two or three times a year I decided to buy a more budget friendly alternative. WOW. This phone is incredible for the price. Long battery life. Not jammed up with bloatware like Samsung Galaxy line. The only draw back is the camera, which is good but not great. For the price you simply cannot buy a better phone.

I am very happy with my Moto G7 phone. For the money it give me everything that I want and need in a smart phone for a lot less money. Long battery life, good picture quality and ease of use. This my second Moto phone my last one lasted 3 years and the only problem was the memory was insufficient and it was getting too slow. If this one is as good as my last one I would buy another Moto smart phone.

Just upgraded from the Moto G to the Moto G7. Felt I needed to as I could not add memory and the processor was a little slow, plus it worked on a slower network. Pros: Fast processor, slightly longer battery life, plenty of memory and can add memory, fingerprint and face recognition, tons more features. Cons: Don't need all the new features and takes longer to sift through them all to find what you really need. (I'd rather control the product than the product control me.) Large size makes it harder to carry in a pocket and more difficult to hold, especially since its slick glass on front, back and sides. And most important of all, seriously miss the LED notification light. I hate that I have to pick up the phone every once in a while to see if i missed a text or message sound notification. If I had known about the lack of LED notification light, I may have waited longer before upgrading. And its the main reason I give this phone only 4 stars. It seems engineers are so busy adding all these new features that they forgot what features are the main reason we bought the original model. But for the money, this is definitely a worthwhile purchase and should last many quality years.

Good Phone; but needs better support

G7 is a good phone at reasonable price. No bloated apps (like Amazon's or Samsung's). Good interface. I have not tested all the options, but so far no big issues. It needs better customer support though. During set up of Wi-Fi, it offer the option of 'add a network'. But, it doesn't accept a hidden network (i.e. no SSID broadcast). The sad part is it does not mention it anywhere. Just doesn't connect. Called the support. Got the connection quickly. The agent tried his best (The call goes to Philippine. The agent was helpful; but they should be provided a better training and authority to resolve issues). After some trials, we decided to broadcast the network name, which worked. I want to switch it back to 'no broadcast', but have not tested it so far. There is no mention of this in the manual. Secondly, the phone could not access internet over data (it was fine thru wi-fi). I know the proxy settings are specific to the carrier, but again there is no useful indication in the manual. The supplied USB charge cable sticks into the phone very loosely. I am going to call the support on this. I hope they will be able to help.

I just got my daughter this phone. It is a very affordable phone, which we picked out because of the screen size, ram and internal memory (64 GB) available. The camera is really good, much better than expected. It runs fast, and is very smooth running apps, browsing, etc. everything you'd want in a phone, it does well. I'm thinking about getting one for myself now :)

Great phone for the price. Performance is very good, battery typically lasts close to two days with moderate use. The camera is just ok, but I don't see the need to spend a couple hundred bucks more for a better photo that is posted then forgotten.

The fingerprint reader is slick, the camera is good, the call quality is good, the battery lasts a long time, and there's plenty of memory. It's much bigger than my previous phone, but not too bad-still fits in my pocket. I like the hand-motion shortcuts to turn on the camera and flashlight, and the menu navigation is pretty straightforward. Easy-peasy to activate.

I am a big MOTO fan. No sense writing out all the specs, I'm sure you've probably already done that. The main points for me are: It's vanilla Android. No useless apps like on other phones which you can't remove. It's got an FM radio built in. Love that. It's still got a 3.5MM headphone jack. Good price point. Got it on sale at BB for $229.99 You can add additional storage up to 512GB. Awesome. 64GB Memory I want a good quality phone with good (head phone) sound and a decent camera. I want to stream video from Prime and Netflix, etc,. I want a lot of storage for video and music. I do not want to break the bank for a phone. I want simplicity. Not looking for an all in one laptop, tablet, top end camera. I had a G6 and upgraded to the G7. Love it. Does all I need it to do. Only gripe is with Lenovo. Speed up and extend your OS upgrades. Highly recommend as an excellent middle of the road phone without all the bells and whistles.

This phone does everything I want and more and is really quick. I am getting an unbelievable 3 days from a battery charge. Face recognition works well and is very handy. Will accept 512GB SD card to expand memory. No need to spend twice as much for phone with similar features. Wireless charging would have been nice but I don't miss it for half the money.

The phone is very dependable. It has a nice camera. Sounds is above average. Surfs the web fine, plays video well. But it does not have all the bells and whistles you get on very pricey phones. But for $250-$300 it works great. I've had other Moto G phones and I've been happy with all of them.

I am upgrading from the moto g5 plus and this phone is way faster! The pictures at 12mp are superb! Im not to impressed with the 4k30fps video though. THe 1080p60fps is so smooth though! 64gig internal space and it came with an evo 64gig micro sd already installed. I really wish they would have sold the g7 plus in north america, i would have hopped all over that one instead! Moto will not answer me when i ask why they will not sell the g7 plus in north america.

I'm an iPhone user for a long time a d that is my first Android. I've made a lot of research in order to buy a good Android under $300. That is definitely the case. I'm very happy so far. Nothing to complain. There something's that the buyers should know: the device doesn't have Android pay by contactless. That is eh only thing I miss.

It's a very good phone for all my needs. I really like its battery life, quick charge, USB C, and of course its affordable price. This is my second Moto G phone. The first one lasted a good 2.5 years, till its USB charge port was worn out, and unable to be used to charge. I'd definitely recommend this phone.

Why pay triple the price for apple or samsung when this phone will do all I need? Durable, affordable, decent camera, mid tier phone with out the huge price of the premier phone companies.. 11 months in still working great, has latest Android software, and motorola ui does not make things complicated.

Upgraded from a Moto G5 to this G7. Phone is a bit larger than the G5, but bigger screen good for watching video clips. Think the 64GB storage capacity will serve me well for a few years. Seems to operate quicker and more responsively than the G5, and touch screen more reactive (though my G5 was a few years old.) The G7 shell is a bit slippery, and Best Buy rep said the screen is a "fingerprint magnet." (However, purchased a rubber case and glass screen protector, so both issues taken care of.) (Note: In store accessories were sparse for this phone at my local Best Buy.) Good if you just need a phone for calls, text, email, internet access, and watching video clips. Experts (i.e CNET) also agree, with very good reviews for a "budget phone." If you don't want to play games or want to spend $ 1,000 for "full featured" Android phone, this is the phone to get.

I bought my first Moto in March 2018 (G5s Plus)... I became hooked on Moto. I decided to upgrade to the Moto G7 on the day it came out and I haven't been disappointed. It's fast, has a good battery life, great camera and fits perfectly in my hand. If you're looking for a well-made phone at a fantastic price, the G7 is perfect!
