Solid budget cell, great bang/buck, degrades fast

Solid phone for the price point with no major complaints. I don't use it for gaming or anything similarly demanding, although I am guilty of opening quite a few tabs on its Chrome browser all at once and it handles that like a champ, as well as cycling between numerous apps. Camera is great - although I'm not much of a photographer, I've never been disappointed with picture or video quality. Battery life was good initially but has degraded significantly after only 15 months, and it has had some wonky moments (although to be fair I have dropped it on more than one occasion and it has held up very well - no cracks or dents). If the performance and battery life hadn't degraded so seriously in less than one and a half years, it would get 5 stars from me hands down.

Durable Phone, Great Features, Camera Okay

I've had this phone for about 3 months now. This is my second Motorola phone. The screen is durable. I have dropped the phone several times from about waist height and sometimes with extra force, and it has not cracked at all. The clear case that comes with the phone is nice but not super protective, but it's done well for me so far. I use replaceable polyethylene (clear plastic) screen covers to prevent scratches, but I'm fully confident the screen wouldn't scratch much "naked". The camera is okay. It's not as good on a Pixel, but some of my Pixel friends are convinced that it takes pictures that are just as good if not better. The camera software also has other features like slow motion, panorama, portrait, blur, etc. Pictures taken in low-light are even pretty good compared to my last mobile device. The camera glass appears to be resistant to fingerprints. The speed is good for regular phone-ing and productivity. The sensors work great. My previous Motorola had a GPS that was not very effective and often didn't work, but this one works well. It can even be used as a compass. It has a ton of storage. It connects to Android Auto. The Android One OS works well. It's pretty snappy and not bloated with proprietary software. It gets regular updates. The Motorola gestures to "chop" the phone to turn on the flashlight and twist the phone to open the camera are wonderful. Always having access to the flashlight without even turning on the phone is my favorite feature! Things that I don't like: - The aspect ratio doesn't quite work well with displays for screen casting. - The really small bezel around the phone screen results in my palm sometimes touching the screen. - The screen doesn't get really dim when using in the dark and screen dimmers reduce the contrast. (An OLED screen would be better, and I would pay a small premium on this price if that were an option.) - There are few cases on the market for this phone (not necessarily the fault of the phone). - The camera glass does not seem to be very durable because I just noticed a very shallow scratch on the glass just above the main camera sensor, and the included case is not raised much above the camera glass.

I really like this phone I really really did. I remember who I even sold it to and the only reason this solitaire reason I sold this phone was that the screen cracked. I would buy it again and again and again and again and again but I love my LG so yeah I would stick with my LG but if I had to buy another one I would get this one in a heartbeat. The only caveat to that is by a case where protective glass to put over the screen to some wonderful phone it has high performance it has great resolution and the performance is just really grateful for what you're going to pay. This is a definite in my estimation but you must buy a case because when it cracks it's going to break your heart.

So far I've been very happy with the way this phone performs. It has many new features in the settings menu I do like and has great sound when playing music over Bluetooth to my car stereo, as well as having a very decent internal speaker/microphone system. Seems to take great pictures haven't noticed anything bad with it, but I'm not a professional photographer I guess. I like how it will take a video in landscape mode even if you're holding it in the vertical or portrait position. This phone has plenty of memory especially if you add on an SD card. I have noticed that the battery tends to drain kind of fast but It could be improved by doing some adjustments to the display. But for the price you can't go wrong. Loved that it came with a case in the box.

The Motorola One Action XT2013-4 is a good choice for the price point, but it does have its weaknesses, but first the strengths. It has a better rear camera than most, with automatic horizontal configuration. Android version 10 has some nice New features, and Motorola provides prompts to keep updates current, and advises for setting. Helpful for non-geeks. The display size and resolution are excellent, but the slightly slim width causes fonts to be smaller, this making tapping the keyboard more critical for fat fingered users like me. The speed, sensitivity and connectivity are very good, and I'm please with the performance and 128gb internal storage, and also micro SD card capability. Now the weak points. Heavy users might have to charge the battery before the day is done, but not if only moderately used. The front camera is located in the upper left corner of the screen, and is distracting. It is not water resistant, and no wireless charging, but it does have a 1/8" headphone jack. Now the worst weakness, it's fragile. The rubber protective case provided with it is inadequate. I dropped my phone ONCE from less than 4 feet high... Broke the Screen. This model needs a very good protective case.

With the discounts, you can't go wrong with this phone! The battery makes it through the entire day, charges fast in the morning, and every app perfomes perfectly. Easy to get up and running, no activation required, I just put the sim from my old att phone into this unlocked phone and it worked right away. The phone comes with a microSD card slot if you need it, but the 128gb space should last a long time. In addition, the camera is decent and it includes a clear rubber case. I appreciate that the screen is big and bright and that the software is a very stock Android experience. I've noticed it's been getting frequent updates too! Lastly, the fingerprint reader on the back is a nice touch, works just fine.

This is by far my favorite Moto. The screen size and resolution are excellent. The speed is better than expected. Plenty of space. The one thing I would change is the speaker. It's not as loud as I would like. Overall very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this Moto One Action to replace my MOTO G5. The only problem I encountered was that my G5 was registered to communicate through LTE G2, which the One Action does not accept, so at first I couldn't make phone calls. Credit the Best Buy salesperson to track this down, which took quite a while. But now everything is working fine. Thie is a substantial performance improvement, as one would expect. I've dealt with Motorola devices for years---no decades---and respect their products. So I recommend looking into them, not the least because they cost so much less. By the way, the camera seems really good, but I'm no expert in that regard.

I have had my Moto One Action for about two weeks. I would have given it 5 stars, but the fingerprint scanner sucks. I have to redo my fingerprint scan every few days, which is a hassle. Anyway, other than that this is a great phone for the money. Very good camera and 128 GB of memory. Nice size screen as well. It does use a USB-C cable so I did have to buy new ones.

It is a good phone but with some drawbacks. First it will get very hot running applications but after updates it improved. Second the battery will last only one day. Other thing to know is that the screen is narrow and it will take some time to get used to. Finally Disney+ doesn't work on this phone. In summary at sale price is a good phone with 128gb space but with some limitations. Skip at list price.

The screen on this phone is enormous. The design is modern and feels premium, even though the back is plastic. Obviously, there are some flagship-level features missing (fast/wireless charging, stereo speakers, fastest SD processor, high refresh rate, QHD+ display, etc.) But for this price, you absolutely cannot find a better phone. Reviews of the moto one action often criticize its camera, but the setup is certainly adequate in my experience. Daytime shots are phenomenal (although evening and night shots get significantly noisier). The processor is plenty fast--opening apps is smooth, the OS runs without a problem, and even high graphic settings work relatively smoothly on games. I honestly have nothing to complain about with this phone. 100% worth the price.

I'll cut to the chase, It's been a long time since I've owned a decent phone, for three years, I was stuck with a piece of crap Samsung j3 emerge. At the time I got it, it was the only choice at the time, and i went with it. This phone, destroys it, obviously. It's fast, pretty much lag free, with the occasional little flinch that's caused by a slow app, or just whatever. It runs every mobile game I've played on high, the camera is great, even though, the focus is a little slow, and not the best. It's not the worse, by any means, just not amazing, either. Without being in depth into every specific feature, I'll just go ahead and say, it was a well justified purchase, and I hope they make a second iteration of the one action, in the future. I would buy it.

Pretty good phone especially for the price. Just as easy to use as an iPhone and costs only 1/3 the price. Great camera and good connectivity. If looking for a new smart phone l would recommend checking it out. My wife has a Samsung and paid double. Pretty sure they're almost the same. In my opinion.

This one raises the bar for budget phones

Motorola is hands down the king of budget phones and this one sits at or near the top. You don't feel like you're sacrificing much as far as style and performance goes. The 21:9 screen looks great, its full glass all around (metal sandwiched between), fingerprint unlock, good camera with a neat trick for recording videos in landscape while holding phone upright. Downsides? Yeah a few (it is a budget phone btw), there's no Gorilla glass protection here so try not to drop it (there's an included case surprisingly), that tall 21:9 aspect ratio shows black bars on the side when watching video (though some apps will let you zoom in on the video take over the whole screen), no wireless charging or fast charging, the hole punch camera on the front seems like it could be a little smaller - but I'm okay with it - but thats it. The performance will be snappy enough for most users and it LOOKS premium - as if it costs 2x-3x as much as it does. So far I am very pleased with this phone.
