I bought 1 for my daughter through Best Buy, then one for myself. Would buy again. Motorola quality. Verizon service. Unlocked for various carriers. Excellent price.... Keep my unlimited data plan.... Need I say more?

I love this phone. It might take some time getting used to and setting up. With it's latest Marshmallow update there's a learning curve with importing and exporting to and from the SD card. For the price it's a very good phone; no bloatware and large screen size. The 3gb of ram was enough for me to navigate through my daily usage. The camera is very good. I was skeptical at first because the most important thing for me was it's battery life. It'll require one charge throughout the day if you're constantly on it, but fear not because the charging is very fast with its fast charge technology.

We replace my wife note 4 with this one. A friend gave me great reviews about it and size wise I wanted something similar to the note 4 large screen for my wife. Phone is great, amazing camera, some reviews talk about bad battery life but she get the same as the Note 4. Phone is unlock so you can use it with any company (Micro SIM) Down side was that you cant add your personal ring tone but with a free app you can change every sound on the phone.

Love the front facing speakers, they are alot clearer than the back or bottom facing speakers most cell phones have and they are great for hands free situations. Also really like not having to deal with bloatware and especially like the Moto software which works really well when you just quickly see what notifications you've received. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone for the price as well as the accidental coverage from Motorola. $90.00 for 2 years complete coverage, can't beat that!

The biggest problem with this phone is that buyers overlook it because it's price is much lower than the big two - Apple and Samsung. I and my family have owned both of those best sellers. The iPhone 6 software has been very inconsistent so when I decided to get a new phone I took a chance on the Motorola. What a great pleasure that has turned out to be. It has been rock solid. Not only that I am no longer held hostage to any one service provider - can be used with AT&T or Verizon etc. I paid $299 at Best Buy on sale for a phone that I am far more satisfied with than the high-end, overpriced alternatives. I am also a pro photographer and have been very happy with the 21 megapixel capabilities on the phone. I am not normally so willing to give reviews but I would strongly suggest that buyers cut through the marketing hype for expensive phones and take a look at this Motorola.

I never signed a contract for the last 5 years before even T-Mobile get out of it. so i am a winner. The phone is fantastic one for my 16 years old son. I have an iPhone 6 plus . I believe this phone is better value for the price i paid fro it

I did a lot of research before buying this phone and I couldn't be happier with the decision to get it. Bring able to purchase an unlocked phone at a great price was a huge seeking point for me. It runs almost stock Android, and the few apps Motto has added only make the phone better. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone looking for a new service with a large screen, great battery life, and a smooth running Android operating system without the bloat.

This is the best phone that I have ever owned. Always used iphones. Very fast and zero bloat ware. The price was excellent. I am not paying over $400. For a phone again.

I owned this phone for almost 3 months now and was purchased to replace a 1st gen Moto G as my backup/travel phone. I love this phone and have not come across any issues so far. Its fast and runs the latest OS version of Android (Marshmallow). The camera on this phone is really good and most shots actually outperform my primary phone (iPhone 6 Plus). The only aspect to this phone I don't really care for is the actual screen size. I wish it was smaller and closer to the same size of the 2nd Gen Moto X. It's not really a deal breaker because the screen quality is really good and rivals many high end smart phones. Call quality and reception is excellent on Verizon and AT&T. In some areas it provides better reception than my iPhone. I highly recommend this phone and I still can not believe it only cost $299. Phones like this makes you really question why you need to pay $650-$1000 for a high end phone. This phone has all the basics and provides great performance at the price.

Less than 24 hours with, so these are initial takeaways... 1. SD slot will be a God-send if you only buy the 16 GB device. 2. The physical device is stunning, like the previous generation. 3. While the display is brilliant, it's colors appear slightly muted or washed out when compared to the previous generation. This was noticed with the same app running on both devices side by side. 4. Related to above, the contrast seems off. Black doesn't appear as dark when side by side with the previous one. 5. While not as big as it seems, one hand usage will be a struggle. Motorola should look into 2 sizes if the Moto G specs aren't for you. 6. Stereo external speakers! Hope this helps. If I come up with more, I'll update this thread.

The touchscreen sensitivity is excellent with a clear crisp sharp screen. The great feature this phone can be used with GSM & CDMA phone providers, and so you can take it with you where ever you may decided as your provider. It's very quick with it's unique multi-core processor, and yes it's quite warm at first from the battery area, but within a couple of weeks that dissipates and never felt again which I assume means the battery has settled in for normal usage. I would suggest getting immediately a good protective case for it, as the casing is quite smooth to the touch, and there is plenty of good cases out there in which my personal choice is the one with a kickstand to watch videos, etc. 16Gb was quite sufficient for me because I installed 64Gb memory card which gives it more than enough storage space for all my needs. REMEMBER THIS PHONE requires a NANO Type of phone card installed.

This is by far the best phone out there. While the size is large (and your carrier probably doesn't know how to activate it ... no SIM card in the box), once that headache is over, it will be well worth it. Considering getting another for my wife. FYI, it uses the same nano-sim as the HTC ONE M9, that should help customer service.

This is a very capable phone with plenty of power to run even demanding apps smoothly. I definitely would put it in a class with phones costing as much as twice its price in terms of its price in terms of its competency as an app platform, especially with the Marshmallow update, which allows finer control over app permissions. I routinely use this phone for GPS navigation using TomTom Go, and it runs the app smoothly and without excessive heat. In fact, it's run every app I've thrown at it without complaint. In terms of running apps, it's the best phone I've ever owned. Part of the reason for its competence at running apps is that being factory unlocked, the Moto X Pure Edition isn't infested with resource-wasting and often-unstable carrier crapware, spyware, or modifications. (Hence the name "Pure Edition.") It has a few useful Motorola apps, but nothing else aside from what's included in a stock Android installation. I have only three criticisms of this phone: Firstly, the WiFi loses its connection at times when idle. It gets it back right away, but it's still mildly annoying. It never happens during a download, suggesting that the problem may be an idle power-management bug of some sort. Secondly, the sound quality on voice is good, but not excellent. The people I call say it sounds crystal-clear, but the clarity on my end is merely adequate. I can understand them, but it's not as rich as I would like. Thirdly, for some bizarre reason, the message-waiting indicator LED is not enabled. It's there, but I haven't found a way to activate it without rooting the phone, which I don't want to do because it might void the warranty. (There's also less reason to root a phone running Marshmallow because of the better permissions control that helps tame nosy apps.) Speaking of rooting, if that what you want to do, Motorola makes it easy with this phone: You ask, they give you the code, and that's that. It likely will void your warranty, but at least they allow you to do it if that's what you want. Motorola also offers better support than most manufacturers. You can actually call them and talk to a real person, and most of them are pretty useful. In summary, I'm glad I bought this phone. The few quirks mentioned above are more than compensated for by the phone's overall stability and its power to run the apps that I need smoothly and without complaint. I'd definitely buy it again. Overall, it performs as well as any phone I've ever used.

If you're on Verizon but don't wanna get on edge. Save yourself a few bucks for a few months and get this. You wont be sorry. Verizon gave people heck the first few days with this phone avoiding activating it, but they finally had no choice.

One great phone for a great price! The large screen is beautiful for media consumption. I love the cameras both front and back cameras deliver great photos! The accompanied turbo charger is one of the greatest advances around! Charges the phone from completey dead to full in less than an hour!

Moto X has fast processor 1.8 gigabyte very good camera with zoom in capabilities autofocus Chris realistic pictures and very good quality video also enjoyed moto features that allowed hands-free operation of the phone turning on flash light as well as making calls time date temperature integrated with Google overall phone quality excellent capabilities for the price definitely worth purchasing.

All the benefits of Droid Turbo except for the unbreakable screen. But unlike the Droid, the ability to choose any carrier, not just Verizon. No bloatware either. Already have received the Marshmallow update, Android 6.0.

This phone is a great phone. Crystal clear conversations, nice large display yet not to large so it is easy to handle. This has a larger screen then most current phones but yet smaller than the Samsung note series phones. So you get a phone with an easier to read larger screen that would still fit in your pocket. All in all this is a great phone you can purchase that will work on any network. The only downside is that it uses Nano Sim card. Most networks use the Micro Sim cards so you cant just move the Sim card form phone to phone unless you older phone uses Nano Sim card. I purchased a Nano Sim card cutter with micro adapters etc. on Amazon for 5.99. Worked great. Never needed to go to carrier to replace micro to Nano Sim card and set up and register the phone. Just cut the Sim card, slide in place, move over contacts, photos etc. from existing phone and go. Recommend this phone.

Coming from a Note 4 to the Moto X Pure was easy thanks to the screen size and speed of this phone. Compared to TouchWiz Motorola did it right with next to no unnecessary features and kept to a pure android experience.
