Customers are impressed with the Moto Z2 Force Edition's camera quality, especially for outdoor daylight shots, and its surprisingly long battery life. Many appreciate the phone's size and weight, finding it comfortable to hold and use. However, some users have noted that the screen is prone to scratches and the lack of a headphone jack is a drawback for some.

Camera isn't good at all... You can not edit photos or draw on them. The only plus was the attachment for projector tv. We really liked that.

Well I've had my phone 3 months & just got the 3 one yesterday. The first 2 had so many problems with the Bluetooth & neither had the same problem. I didn't even have to 2nd one long enough to take off the cling. So, I guess I'll have to wait to see how it goes. So far so good. Maybe the 3rd time is the charm.

Purchased this phone from Best Buy. I immediately put a glass screen protector sold by Verizon on the phone so no worries of scratches. I have no complaints with the battery life considering my previous phone of two years would last about 4 hours. The screen is wonderful. I love the mods. The camera actually took decent pictures even in lower light. The professional reviews of this product drive me crazy. Yes , the screen can scratch but will not break. So, put a glass screen protector on and that will solve all your problems. I am hoping Motorola keeps this line of phones going. Great product.

Don't hesitate to buy this phone... I promise you won't regret this purchase!! It has great battery life even with a ton of apps running, lots of on board memory and the ability to add external memory, no operating system issues, lots of bells & whistles for geeks like me, and the plug in mods are AWESOME!

    Great, except for the BUGS

Fast, Great Battery, Unbelievably fast charge, but then there's the bugs. Any music site, played on Bluetooth speakers or on the phone pauses after every 1-3 song tracks. Tried every fix found on the web and no joy; supposedly this is a known flaw in multiple generations. Bluetooth connection is hit or miss in pairing and pairing is always active with Bluetooth on, so says the Moto pop-up. Google apps abound in the z2 Force, which leave you little control, uninstall and replace. Text messages may or may not include a notification. I am really tired of going to setting, trying to figure out the correct settings to allow things to work. Finally, this phone is slippery, fresh oil has nothing on the Moto and the screen is fragile. Not to break, but scratch with a grain of dust. This may be nit-picky, but some of these are deal breakers.

      Hi Chuck,

We need to identify what causes your issue.

      1. Bluetooth connection issue:
      - Have you tried connecting it to other BT speakers if the issue is the same? If the same issue persists, try these:
*Check battery level on the devices
-If you are having problems while using Bluetooth, the first thing to check is the battery level on the phone and the speaker
      *Restart both devices
-There are times when a simple restart may correct the problem

      *External Factors
-There are several factors that could be leading to a dropped Bluetooth connection, or audio issues:
-If you are using the phone indoors, other wireless equipment such as Wi-Fi, cordless phones, or baby monitors, that operate on the 2.4 Ghz frequency may cause interference, and contribute to a dropped connection.
-If you are using the phone outdoors, the Bluetooth signal may be affected by the environmental conditions.

*Clear BT Data from the phone
      a. Un-pair the Bluetooth device from the phone.
      b. Turn Bluetooth off on the phone
      Or
Select Settings > Apps (Swipe left to all if necessary)
Scroll down to Bluetooth Share(Then touch Storage on some models)> Tap “Force stop” then “OK”>Tap “Clear data” then “Ok”. Then, restart the phone and reconnect the Bluetooth device to the phone and test.

      2. Text message:
-Are you using a third party messaging app? It can interfere if there are. You can try to uninstall to check if it is the cause of the issue.

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Good performance, with issues

I purchased this phone to replace my Galaxy S7. The free projector is what sold me. However, the projector only last about 40 minutes. In the eight months I've owned this phone, I have have replaced it twice under the manufacturer warranty. Each time the phone would just freeze and shut off. It would keep saying that the battery is dead even though it was charged all night. I would surf the Internet and the battery would drop from 100% to 80% in less than a minute then the phone would just shut off and will not reboot unless it was plugged in. The screen scratches really easy. Not having a headphone jack is inconvenient, but I knew that when I got it. Would be great to have a case the still allows the mods to fit without removing it. Hopefully the Z3 is an improvement, however, I might switch back to Samsung and get the S9.

Not truly shatterproof. Warranty doesnt cover it

I have had this phone a month. The corner of the screen protector that comes on th phone peeled back. THIS IS THE SHATTERPROOF protector. It is 29.99 for a mailed shield and 59.99 for them to do it. My last phone I bought a lifetime shattershield for $29.99. Each one that broke they sent a new one and it was glass not plastic. This meant that it didnt scratch. This thing peels and scractches and you must pay to fix it. IF you are like me and bought it for shatterproof DONT. It's actually cheaper to buy a shield and repair a screen if needed then repair everytime the plastic edge catches your jeans pocket.

While this isn't a bad phone...

I liked the increased Processing Power of this model over my previous Z Force Droid. However there are several things wrong about this phone they should have addressed before putting it out. The camera's resolution is a joke compared to the Z Force Droid; they should have NEVER put in a lower Resolution Camera. While the battery life is still above standard , the previous version will last longer and charge faster. Motorola shouldn't have taken away 2 of the best features of the Z Force Droid. I only replaced it because it had been lost.

    Needs Miracast!!!

I am a big motorola fan for 15 years and I stopped buying motorola phones since they took out miracast capabilities which are very easy to fix and there are lots of online forums regarding moto continously giving fake answers that they are working on it. So plz motorola put back miracast back so that so many people can start buying great moto phones again. Secondly designated music and gallery app doesn't hurt either.

I have used iPhones for work and Samsung for personal and decided to give this phone a try when my S5 needed an upgrade. Blown away by the stability and performance of this phone. I am very impressed, enough that I will probably not go back to a Samsung. Recently received S7 for work and I am not impressed. The add-ons are a bonus!

This Phone is not worth the money

If you are an older person, this phone is not user friendly. If you are not an Apple fan, you will not like this. Everything has to be done in the file manager. I use it for music and the music player can't find the music. The phone stored the music in 2 different places. You can't hear it unless you keep the volume on high. It is junk as far as I am concerned. Motorola will not stand behind their product. I purchased this phone through verizon. And they never stand behind their products.

Hi, sorry you are disappointed. May I ask if you are using google play music? If you are, you'll just need to go to Play Music > 3 bars (upper left corner) > Music Library and you'll see all your music files. If the files are in WMA format, it's not compatible with the default player however, there are music players on playstore that can play it. If there's anything else we can do to help, please let us know. -Erwin MotorolaMobility

    Not crack resistant

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have had this phone for less than 6 months. Dropped the phone from 2 feet and it already is cracked that was with a case and screen protector. Forget the 4 year warranty Motorola claims will cover it. The warranty only covers if they phone sits and randomly cracks. This is false advertisement that this phone is shatter and crack proof. Dont buy it spend your money on something else.
