The Moto Z3 has been one of the coolest and most fun phones I've used in a long time! I won't lie and say it's better than flag ship ones like the Galaxy 9 or newer iPhones but for the price, you really are getting great value for your money! I owned the Galaxy 8 before this phone and though the processor and screen was better, once I started using the Moto Z3, I really forgot how different it was compared to my old SSG 8 (fyi my old phone stopped working so decided on trying out a diff more affordable phone). The part that makes this phone fun are the moto mods. I own the JBL speaker moto mod, the Amazon Alexa mod and Moto battery and they all work seemlessly. I barely use the Alexa mod since I just use the JBL instead but the battery mod has been a blessing. It adds like 8 to 10 hours extra of battery life and is not that thick so you get used to the size of the phone with the attachment. The Moto Z3 also has a backless phone protector which protects all the sides of the phone as well as the front in back since it has ridges that extend enough to protect the phone from small drops. This specific phone cover allows me to use all the mods without having to take the cover off every time I want to use them. The battery life of the phone itself is still very good. I'll go most of the day on a charge as long as I don't marathon streams of Netflix, Amazon videos, etc or too much gaming. Thus far I've installed over 50 apps and the phone hasn't much drop in speed even with less ram compared to other newer phones. All in all, I highly recommend the Z3, if you aren't bothered by the fact that it doesn't have the latest or greatest tech, once you start using it, most people will forget it's only a $400 phone!

Great little phone. Would give it a 5 star but the mods are getting hard to find. The Alexa mod this one came with is a great addition to the phone an was excited to get it free. Battery life is good for semi to moderate use. Camera is good, the software it uses far exceeds the cameras ability. It's quick in response as far as the processor goes. Feels good in the hand as it's light an thin. Motorola kept the phone thin so when a mod is clipped on it becomes the standard size for the most part of other phones out there today. I feel if you want a lot of phone in this price point that you can add mods to create another experience this is it for sure. I wouldn't recommend for the power users out there as the battery won't keep up with a ton of gaming or office type work.

I'm in the small minority I guess who doesn't like that phones keep getting larger and larger. This purchase necessitated adding a purse to carry it as it was bigger than my S7 it replaced. LIKED the fingerprint scanner on the side; liked the photo recognition. Liked the mod concept and was very tempted by the camera. Came with the Alexa mod which I liked as it was much less slippery to hold than the bare phone. DIDN'T LIKE the bigger screen (phablet?) but could have lived with that. Also didn't like that it doesn't have wireless charging without purchasing the mod. Cases that claim to work with the mod panel didn't. THe deal breaker was that it wasn't compatible with my Samsung Gear Fit 1, which I should have realized before I got it. Not the phone's fault and if not for that I would be using it still.

I've had many Android phones before so moving to this one was pretty simple. It's a easy phone to use. I especially like the attachments available for it. The reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because there isn't a separate headphone port.

I have had several Motorola phones through the years, they have all served me well with great battery life, very good phone reception, fast online/app experiance, good camera's with my new Z3 being the best so far, all for a price that can't be beat.

I had to quickly replace my previous Motorola Droid Turbo and went with this Moto Z3 model. I've had it for a week now and have been very happy with it. It was an easy transition. It has additional features which I am discovering and will surely enjoy. The portrait mode on the camera is cool. It came with the Alexa speaker mod, which I honestly have tried only once. It worked though and will be useful. This model is slim, with a nice 6" screen, and beautiful graphics. It performs well and does everything I need it to. These Moto phones are underrated. They are a great value and I recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to pay the high price of a Samsung or iPhone.

Bought this for my wife after I got one for myself in December. I've gone as long as 65 hours on one charge. My wife uses a lot more screen time than I do and still has 25-30% after 18 hours. Moto Mods are great. She uses the Smart speaker with Alexa mod to stream music. I have the JBL speaker mod. Smart Speaker with Alexa covers camera, so it's not the ideal mod.

So far been pretty solid. Got it to replace my LG that was wearing down, but didn't want spend big money on another flagship device. Does most everything I need with the exception of no mhl video option and doesn't have enough output for higher end headphones. Overall has been pleasantly fast with a few bells and whistles. Also updated to Pie once setup automatically.

This phone is such an upgrade from my last Motorola. I hope my battery last a long time and I have no other issues, but so far so good. I charge it nightly but I am sure if I did not it would still have enough juice for another day.

So far so good. Purchased for a friend on my plan, so there is a learning curve for them from a flip phone. It's their first smart phone so there are lots of questions. Phone holds a charge well as charges fast. It's very light weight. Came with Alexa speaker mode. Great value.

I recently purchased 3 Z3's to upgrade the phones for my children. I have long apreciated Motorola's build quality and innovative features while keeping phones priced well below the other big manufacturers. The Moto Mods is an interesting concept. We received Alexa speaker mods with the phones. They work great, are easy to use, but the novelty wore off of them in about a day as they wern't compatable with their phone cases. I expected protective back plates would be included as they had with their previous Moto Z phones, but they did not. I purchased cases that would cover and (hopefully) protect the Moto mod contacts on the back of the phone. The biggest issue I had with the phones was the location of the fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. It's an odd place, I prefer the old placement on the lower front as their previous Moto phones or on the back as my Pixel has.

Really good device not much in the way of personalization so if that's what you're looking for you might want to either download a launcher or get something completely different but as far as sound quality goes the Alexa speaker hits a homerun

Good phone. Not he best on the market, but good for a 13 years old and will not drain your pocket. I wish it would be easier to use module attachments and still have protective cover in place.

The Moto Z3 is a great phone for the money. It's not the fastest but if you're not gaming heavily on it you won't notice any slowness. The Moto Mods are awesome.
