Great little phone. Would give it a 5 star but the mods are getting hard to find. The Alexa mod this one came with is a great addition to the phone an was excited to get it free. Battery life is good for semi to moderate use. Camera is good, the software it uses far exceeds the cameras ability. It's quick in response as far as the processor goes. Feels good in the hand as it's light an thin. Motorola kept the phone thin so when a mod is clipped on it becomes the standard size for the most part of other phones out there today. I feel if you want a lot of phone in this price point that you can add mods to create another experience this is it for sure. I wouldn't recommend for the power users out there as the battery won't keep up with a ton of gaming or office type work.

The Moto Z3 has been one of the coolest and most fun phones I've used in a long time! I won't lie and say it's better than flag ship ones like the Galaxy 9 or newer iPhones but for the price, you really are getting great value for your money! I owned the Galaxy 8 before this phone and though the processor and screen was better, once I started using the Moto Z3, I really forgot how different it was compared to my old SSG 8 (fyi my old phone stopped working so decided on trying out a diff more affordable phone). The part that makes this phone fun are the moto mods. I own the JBL speaker moto mod, the Amazon Alexa mod and Moto battery and they all work seemlessly. I barely use the Alexa mod since I just use the JBL instead but the battery mod has been a blessing. It adds like 8 to 10 hours extra of battery life and is not that thick so you get used to the size of the phone with the attachment. The Moto Z3 also has a backless phone protector which protects all the sides of the phone as well as the front in back since it has ridges that extend enough to protect the phone from small drops. This specific phone cover allows me to use all the mods without having to take the cover off every time I want to use them. The battery life of the phone itself is still very good. I'll go most of the day on a charge as long as I don't marathon streams of Netflix, Amazon videos, etc or too much gaming. Thus far I've installed over 50 apps and the phone hasn't much drop in speed even with less ram compared to other newer phones. All in all, I highly recommend the Z3, if you aren't bothered by the fact that it doesn't have the latest or greatest tech, once you start using it, most people will forget it's only a $400 phone!

I had to quickly replace my previous Motorola Droid Turbo and went with this Moto Z3 model. I've had it for a week now and have been very happy with it. It was an easy transition. It has additional features which I am discovering and will surely enjoy. The portrait mode on the camera is cool. It came with the Alexa speaker mod, which I honestly have tried only once. It worked though and will be useful. This model is slim, with a nice 6" screen, and beautiful graphics. It performs well and does everything I need it to. These Moto phones are underrated. They are a great value and I recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to pay the high price of a Samsung or iPhone.

I've had this phone for a couple of weeks now. This is my 3rd Droid and this one doesn't disappoint. The picture quality is excellent, the volume is super loud, and the screen size is also good. I contemplated switching to a Galaxy S9 but the only true difference I could find is the fact the Galaxy is waterproof in up to 5 feet of water. That wasn't enough for me to spend the extra to go with the S9. My only reason for not giving this phone 5 stars is because i'm having issues adjusting to the lock screen button being on the left side of the phone and the fingerprint reader being on the right side instead of the front like my older Droid. It's not a bad thing, just an adjustment.

Bought this for my wife after I got one for myself in December. I've gone as long as 65 hours on one charge. My wife uses a lot more screen time than I do and still has 25-30% after 18 hours. Moto Mods are great. She uses the Smart speaker with Alexa mod to stream music. I have the JBL speaker mod. Smart Speaker with Alexa covers camera, so it's not the ideal mod.

So far so good. Purchased for a friend on my plan, so there is a learning curve for them from a flip phone. It's their first smart phone so there are lots of questions. Phone holds a charge well as charges fast. It's very light weight. Came with Alexa speaker mode. Great value.

I've had many Android phones before so moving to this one was pretty simple. It's a easy phone to use. I especially like the attachments available for it. The reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because there isn't a separate headphone port.

Most under-rated phone. If you know what your buying for the price its an amazing phone (I paid $120ish) and now in 2020 id pay up to 200. Id say performance wise its better than the G8, but do your own research on that. Motorola just used older hardware (but good hardware) to make this phone for cheap. The camera isn't AMAZING but it gets the job done, and most people wont see much of a difference on a phone screen. Now if you want an amazing camera and blow up giant photos, look elsewhere. Its super fast . . . really. I haven't gamed much, but hearthstone works fast.

This phone had been working great and is easy to use. The battery is pretty good and the speaker mod is a nice feature. I upgraded from a Motorola Droid turbo that I'd had for over 3 years.

I have been a previous Motorola owner, but in the past seven years I have had high-end Samsung, HTC, ZTE and LG phones. None have matched the quality, dependability or value of Motorola phones. I got a Verizon Moto Z3 and have been absolutely satisfied with zero criticisms of either phone or service. As for Best Buy, the sales associate was well-informed and professional, and never pushed one product over another. His treatment of me as a customer could have been videoed and used as a textbook definition of appropriate and professional customer service.

affordable but they also have some cool features. You could shake the phone a certain way and it would open the camera or cut on the flashlight without having to get into the phone. All the add-ons were cool too. I like the alexa speaker and I would have loved to have gotten the projector

So far been pretty solid. Got it to replace my LG that was wearing down, but didn't want spend big money on another flagship device. Does most everything I need with the exception of no mhl video option and doesn't have enough output for higher end headphones. Overall has been pleasantly fast with a few bells and whistles. Also updated to Pie once setup automatically.

I have the speaker mod, projector mod, camera mod, and battery mod. If this device was nothing more than an engine for these, it would be worth it. But wait, there's more! You get a web enabled instrument and a functional cell phone! All this for one of the lowest price tags in the market. I am very pleased.
