Other like other phones, such as Samsung's, you could also format a SD card as main memory.

Purchased this refurbished Motorola Moto G Play. Lasted a week before the microphone stopped working. Had to put out more cash to exchange the phone for a new one off the shelf. Best Buy guys and gals not the issue. They were great! The work on the refurb phone or the quality of the equipmernt is the issue. Maybe refurbished phones are not a good investment because of not knowing what was fixed in the process or not knowing how the prior owner cared for the unit.

If it happens that Microphone is not working, we suggest checking the microphone if there's anything covering it. If you have a case, try removing the case and see if that would help. You may also try putting it into safe mode to check if there's any app interfering with the Microphone. To put it in safe mode, press and hold the power button until Power Off option appears on the screen. Press and hold the Power Off option until it Reboots to Safe Mode, then press OK. Let us know if this helps.
