While the actual temperature reader technically works, there's no way to turn it off. Also, it doesn't seem to be receptive to use of any of the buttons besides temp.

Clean the infra-red sensor with a cotton swab in accordance with the user manual. And 2. if the proper measurement method was used. Inaccurate readings!

There is no way I have a temperature of 90 degrees. This thermometer has never read anything higher than 94 degrees—even when I shove it in my ear and try different angles. Wish I would’ve used it sooner—now I can’t return it. Don’t buy this trash. Absolutely useless, unfortunately.

I had to use it one night on my little boy and it worked fine! It came quickly in the mail and packaged well. Good product and glad I could get it as Best Buy.
