Amazing 2-Way Radios work well for my purpose which is contacting my handicapped daughter when I am in the upstairs of our home or when I am outside. Our lot is very big and even when I am at the other end of the lot away from the house they still work very well. They are easy to use and the call tone alert is perfect. And that keypad lock is wonderful so that you don't accidentally change the operation of the radio. For the money I do not think you could ask for a better set. Great Price, great Value. Exceeded our expectations with clear voice and signal reception. Even through walls and fences. Operating the talkie was very easy.

These 2way radios are a cute color and simple for a child to use, BUT, they are not 16 mile range. Heck, not even 3 mile range. My main reason for getting these was to have a cute quick way to check on my daughter while I was at work. I only work approximately 6-7 miles away and we could not hear each other. Within the first 2 miles of my travel to work we could no longer hear each other. And seeing as these had been delivered on a Friday, played with over the weekend and scratched, by the time I discovered they didnt work how I wanted it was too late. So now I am stuck with them to just "play" with around the house... which doesnt happen very often. So far they were a waste of $30. Ya live and you learn I guess. If you solely want them for a short distance and play, then yes they work fine for that.

Got this because went on a cruise ship. My brother n I used this because cell phones won't work or roaming. Worked great. Love these walkies

Direct line no trees 14 miles no problem... 7 miles in the woods with heave trees... good luck... but for $25 they are great for use.

These are perfect for staying in touch when going places instead of using your cell phones all the time. But I wish it had a headphone jack for using without holding the radio.
