It was an awesome show with great music from The Temptations The Four Tops Stevie Wonder Marvin Gaye and The Reunion of The Jacksons including the first time The King Of POP Michael Jackson's Very First Time Performing his Number 1 hit "Billie Jean" an electrifying performance showing off his signature move the Moonwalk . Glad I brought this Dvd I love it

what a night period? the Greatest Music Man Ever in Berry Gordy and a fitting tribute to the label that made the whole world sing. the sound of young america. no other label has had the depth of musical talent and so many legendary acts all on one label. this show had a lot of great performances. Marvin Gaye was high and he tore those piano keys up. stevie wonder was cool that night. the temptations and the four tops did their thing as well. other acts were cool. however the Jacksons threw down. Michael Jackson forever put himself with the best of the bests ever with a performance that cemented his legacy and also things were never the same. MJ tore that Joint up. these folks coming along now will never know what it was like to have a label so celebrated whee so many great talents emerged and changed the course of popular music. once in a lifetime talents and show. this was the Greatest network performance that i have ever seen. must have repeated viewings.

I remember so clearly watching this Motown special on tv back in the day. Entertaining from beginning to end and everyone was talking about it the next day. The undisputed highlight for EVERYONE, of course, was MJ's moonwalk debut. How did he do that?! If you are on the fence about getting this dvd, just do it - you will not regret it! It is part of American music history.

Motown 25: Yesterday.Today.Forever is the best investment that one can make. It will be enjoyed many times over and that makes it timeless. My wife and I will continuously enjoy viewing and sing the music along with the Motown family of performers. In addition, the 5.1 surround sound is the greatest, Nuff said!

Really enjoyed being able to see a moment in music history replayed with many extras thrown in. Michael Jackson doing the Moonwalk for the first time on TV, also singing with the Jacksons! Many other great artists perform. Great music and great dancing!

It took a long time for this to finally be released on DVD. The Michael Jackson performance of Billie Jean with the famous moonwalking won an Emmy. All of the classic Motown acts are fantastic and they are all present.

For those who were able to witness the original airing of Motown 25, it is hard to explain it to someone who did not. This DVD provided a way for one to understand and witness, the history that was made that night.

This DVD had brought back some good memories. I remember when this first cam e on, I was so excited, and young. This is one of the best DVDs i own and will give great enjoyment to anyone looking at it.

The highlight that caused the most talk was Michael Jackson's world premiere of the moonwalk during his performance of Billie Jean (a.k.a. six seconds that changed the world)

I was born in the late 60's but in our house Motown is what was playing. I actually remember watching the original telecast in the 80's & it was FANTASTIC. This is one for the family to watch---

Wow, this is such a throw back classic, who doesn't like Smoky Robinson, The Temptations and Michael Jackson. And to watch and listen; enjoyable. Thx Motown this should be in a Glass Vault!!

Great to see the show, again, after all these many years. Great extras! Of course, contains the "6 seconds that changed the world..."

Excellent DVD but not sure I purchased this one due to availability. Don’t think I own it but it’s excellent viewing if you can find it.

I of the best music DVDs Of one of the greatest shows ever the music was great the sound was very good I really enjoyed the interviews of all the stars.Just classic

I absolutely loved the CD set. It took me back to my high school days. I couldn't help making a few moves on the dance floor while watching it.

I grew up listening to Motown music and saw the 25th anniversary special on TV. So, I knew I wanted to buy this DVD with all the extras.

This goes back to my younger days when there were not many channels and a program like this was the talk of its time

Worth it just for the Michael jackson performance alone. Saw it live as a kid. Great trip down memory lane.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. Now if they would just release the other Motown TV Specials.

This was a great dvd. My husband and I really really enjoyed this dvd. lt was right up our alley.
