Bought as a gift for sister in-law. I hate musical but she loves them.

I already own this movie on DVD but I couldn't resist buying it on Blu-ray because it is one of my favorite movies ever. I love the music and the story. The actors are amazing and it is just a very well put together movie. The kind of movie I could watch every day and not get tired of.

The blu-ray version of this show is visually stunning, but the most impressive part of the movie is the sound quality in addition to it. My wife and I watch this movie regularly, and it never gets old. If you haven't seen this movie (which is unlikely), pick up a copy! You'll love it.

Well what can I say. I love great classics and I definitely love musicals. So I had to go buy this one for my collection. I can watch this everyday.

One of Baz Luhrman's earlier films, it lacks none of his trademark visual exhorbitance, and the music will be stuck in your head for weeks. An all star cast leads you through a story that will have you laughing one minute and crying the next.

I feel bad for the people that bought tickets for the second night of the show.

The fast-cuts and sped-up action is a bit much at first, but that's very much the intent of the filmmaker. Its an experience, something that you must allow yourself to be swept away by in order to enjoy it.

Moulin Rouge looks and sounds better than ever. Simply put, a stunning blu-ray transfer! The vivid colors jump through the screen and the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track is dazzling! Highly recommended!

Baz Luhrman doesn't do many things in a reserved way and this is the height of bombast. Everything is loud, but it works that way. Kidman and McGregor have great chemistry on screen and they sing beautifully. A bit ridiculous, but worth a watch. Lots of fun.

I haven't seen this movie in nearly 10 years. When I saw the Blu-Ray version on sale I knew I had to see it again. It is such a great movie that gets better with age.
