There are far better cannibal movies out there. This is really just an o.k. B MOVIE. The first half of the movie is slow it only picks up near the end. Really not much to offer the viewer here.

The uncut version...wow. Now we know why they cut certain things out. Movie is good for its time. Good for definitely, at least, one viewing.

Mediocre Cannibal Movie

To start off yes, this movie is not close to as good as some of the other great cannibal movies (ex. Cannibal Holocaust or Cannibal Ferox) but it did influence most of them. It follows a expedition in the jungle looking for another lost crew, while they're taking a trek through the jungle one by one the crew is picked off till only two remain in the Pookah tribe's grotto. This movie, even though at times it is, is not very gory. It's kinda slow and just not really a fun cannibal movie. The extras on it are kind of skimpy, all we get is an interview with the director, the standard trailer, and a still gallery. I can only recomend this movie to hardcore cannibal fans.

Old but decent cannibal movie. This is nowhere near as good as cannibal holocaust or cannibal ferrox, but still a good time.
