This movie is is so entertaining and the cutest I’ve ever seen!!! I highly recommend this flick to those who want to laugh out loud and be entertained!!! This movie is so much fun... I loved it!!!

I haven't seen this movie in ages, watched it with the family and they loved it. I highly recommend it. Quality of graphics was good and the sound was really well.

A childhood family favorite of mine. Gore Verbinski’s black comedy slapstick feature MouseHunt (1997) never stops makes you laugh with insanely dark jokes for the entire family to enjoy. Verbinski’s direction is moody and Gothic with an irreverent sense of humor to his family comedy. I’ve seen this movie probably 100 times and I still laugh every time I see MouseHunt. Verbinski has so much craft and care for his film MouseHunt. The ruined string factory has a real functional look with many moving parts and gritty spools. The production value on the wrecked antique manor is great with a real atmosphere. Craig Wood’s editing is super sharp with lightning fast montages and quick cuts, keeping MouseHunt down to a briskly paced 98 minutes. Phedon Papamichael’s cinematography is excellent. His stunning wide shots and quick pans around following the mouse are wonderfully fun. Alan Silvestri’s score is awesome with a bombastic chaos to his thunderous music. Nathan Lane and Lee Evans are hilarious as foolish brothers in slapstick arms Ernie and Lars Smuntz. Their outrageous conduct and erratic laughter is a riot. They have great comedic chemistry and precise timing. I never cease to laugh at their classic comedy performances. Vicki Lewis is fun as the sultry redhead wife April Smuntz to Lars out for her own payday. Maury Chaykin is funny as the fat Russian Alexander Falko, who wants the Smuntz’ antique designer home. Debra Christofferson and Camilla Soeberg are gorgeous as the Belgish hair models Ingrid and Hilde. William Hickey is wonderful as the elder Rudolph Smunz, patriarch of the Smuntz string factory dynasty. I’ve always admired his performance here. He’s quite charming. I miss his acting after The Boston Strangler, Christmas Vacation, and MouseHunt. Obviously, Christopher Walken delivers his finest acting performance aside from The Deer Hunter as Caesar the Exterminator with a series of bold choices for the ever strange Walken. I must mention the trained mouse is incredible, with Verbinski employing the use of a cute mouse puppet and effective CGI mouse when needed so that no mouse was harmed for MouseHunt. This little mouse looks so adorable and fuzzy, but he’s a real monstrous mastermind of destruction and pain as he terrorizes two idiot brothers. Adam Rifkin’s script is hilarious with endless clever wit and cynicism towards family, brotherhood, fatherhood, obligations, and opportunities. Rifkin finds every bit of dark comedy with his absurdist sense of humor. In short, between Gore Verbinski and Adam Rifkin’s direction and writing, respectively, you get one wicked black comedy tale.

I recommend everyone to have this movie in their collection because it is a fun movie for everyone. It is a movie that I enjoy watching with my family.

Everybody hates mice, but in this comedy classic everyone seems to be rooting for the mice.

A funny movie with the antics of a little mouse you will come to love. Great children's classic

Replacing VHS to DVD Can't stop laughing Movie to watch more then once

Films like Mouse Hunt represent a unique visual brand of family films that littered the 90's. While the story itself is simple, sweet and silly the production value is incredible. The sets resemble something akin to Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Lane and the vastly underrated British comedian, Lee Evans, have chemistry galore in this fun feature. I still wish they made family films with this much care and attention to detail.

One Of My Top 10, All Time Classic Funny Movies... This Is Vary Entertaining, Nathan Lane, Is Awesome, & The Little Mouse, Is A Genius... It's Definitely A Blu-ray Movie That You Will Want In Your Collection...

I actually enjoyed this one. Not any sort of block buster, but worth expending a bowl of popcorn while watching.

An older movie that I loved as a kid, which is still enjoyable to me as an adult. Full of classic slapstick comedy with a great message. Good movie to watch as a family, especially if you have younger kids.

The perfect cast for an interesting script. Set design is perfect for the movie. Christoper Walken is absolutely perfect as Ceaser !

It’s an enhanced version for the original so it looks slightly better picture wise. Great price and this is a must have classic.

Funny movie with a cute mouse. Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella work well together as they did in Lion King. There is quite a bit of slap-stick humor and violent humor so it's probably not appropriate viewing for young children. Otherwise, it's a fun family film.
