Ironically the "Movado Connect" has connectivity issues. My Movado is constantly losing its WiFi signal, and if you don't have Android you need WiFi to visit the Playstore, so I'm never able to really add any apps to the watch. Also,. since I have an iPhone I have to keep the app Android Wear open or my watch and the phone will disconnect. The battery life isn't that good, I leave the house at 6:00 am and get home at 6:00 pm and when I get home my watch will already be in the low teens of battery percentage. I can't really do much on the watch because of the connectivity issues so it's just a really really nice watch that shows me my text messages. I don't recommend this watch unless you really just want a nice Movado watch.

Love the look love the feel. I had to decide between this watch and the Apple Watch. I went with movado. If you are a movado fan this is a must have to the collection. But if you are not you may want to go with a less expensive option lol. But most good smart watches you will pay 450 plus so the extra 100 is for the name the movado collection

My husband really wanted this, he really likes Movado watches, but he was less than impressed with this one. You’re paying for the brand name more than the quality/features of the watch really.

It does not do much. The battery is always dead even with very few apps. Cheap straps and they didn't even bother sending a full charging station, just the cord. Not really a good buy. Cheaper watches do much more. This is one time you do not get more for paying more. I'm returning it.

Work great with android phone, looks great on the wrist, get a lot a nice complements on the look, able to answer calls and see message. The functionality is not as good as a galaxy watch but it will definitely do the job

    Not So Smart Watch

For the price, you're better off getting an Apple Watch. The Movado Connect barely connects to IOS, can't hold a wifi connection, isn't even remotely user friendly, has no battery life, and is a general brick in comparison with other watches. I own numerous other Movado watches and was really excited to trade in my Apple Watch for a Movado smartwatch only to be immediately let down with the lack of UX planned for this product. It's a dud and certainly not worth the asking price.

A beautiful watch with limited functions

My daughter gifted me her Movado Connect 2 smartwatch when she abandoned hers for an Apple Watch. The Movado simply did not perform enough functions to satisfy her, plus it’s been discontinued as a product. Her (now my) model has a gold colored case with a comfortable and durable rubber wristband. On the negative side, the Movado has a relatively short battery life, though my battery lasts all day with normal use. It also recharges very, very fast. And like my daughter said, it won’t do nearly what an Apple Watch will do, certainly not paired with an iPhone. But on the positive side, the Connect 2 is a beautiful watch, certainly better looking than the squarish Apple Watch, plus it has the Movado cachet. And because the product’s been discontinued, there are many less of them in circulation, which makes wearing the Movado even more special. On my Movado I alternate between using two watch faces, the classic and sports variants. For the classic I use the, well, classic black face with gold hands, plus a gold day, month, date and digital readout. A touch of the screen will show me my calendar events and the two hardware buttons on the side of the watch are programmed to show me the weather and a handy stop watch. I use the sports variant screen in black with silver hands and an eye-popping orange day, month, date and digital readout. You can choose several different configurations, functions, colors and even watch faces if you want for your Connect 2 watch. I can and do receive (but cannot send) phone calls and text messages on my watch. But even if I did have an android phone which pairs better with the watch, it’s still too elegant to use as a fitness tracker. And as far as not being able to *send* phone calls and text messages, after all that’s what I have my iPhone for.

    Movado Connect - IOS Users

I think the watch is fantasic. You will receive texts but you can't reply to them, no big deal. Incoming phone calls, you can see and answer ... then will have to use your phone ... I prefer to talk on phone, not into a watch ... I'm not Dick Tracy. When playing songs from playlist, Itunes, you can stop, pause, go forward or back ... this is the same as the Apple watch. Using Fit ... I find this is never accurate with Fitbit, Apple watch, and even this watch ... however, it does seem more accurate in regards to "steps to distance" than both of the others i mentioned. Setup is extremely easy. If you set it up correctly, you can get two days battery life. I use mine from 5:30 in the morning til 5:30 in the evening ... usually at 65% by days end. After initial setup and OS upgrade, there is a new option under Gestures, "Touch to Wake" ... same as Apple watch ... when you want to see the time, tap the screen and it will be present for a few seconds ... no need to show the time of day all day long. Hopefully moving forward, Movado will get past some of the current restrictions with Apple and we will be able to respond to texts like we do with the Apple watch. That is my only complaint. Since I purchased this watch, I have not worn my Apple watch one day. Too many winers out there probably not taking the time to set the watch up correctly to save on battery life and too quick to complain. I highly recommend. The look and feel of the watch is fantastic. Price, yea a bit high, but it's Movado ... if you're questioning the price, you shouldn't be buying.

    Battery issues. Quit charging

Bought the watch on a cruise. I liked the look and it’s performance. Worked well with the android phone I bought to go with it. Today it just quit working. I tried all the fixes movado suggested. No luck. It won’t even light up. Turns out there is no place close to take it to. I was directed to call their help team but I’m sure they will tell me to send it in. So between shipping and insurance and the fix which I hope is just a battery, I’m guessing almost $100.00. Not happy at all.

Please do not waste your money. Movado I.e. smart watch is not that smart. Does not hold battery life. I put my watch on at 530am and it’s now dead at 7:42am. Save your money.

    Good for looks only

I've used this watch for about a week so far, I honestly really like the quality and looks of it but that's about it. I owned the Samsung gear before this and for how much MORE money this costs, it isn't better than the Samsung gear I had. The battery is extremely short, I think mainly for the nice resolution it has, but what's the point... can't physically write a text and add emojis, it's one or the other, makes no sense. A lot of little things make me dislike this watch. However I love the look and feel of it, but it isn't worth $650 or whatever other price you pay. Trust me, you will like this for its looks, but for features there are better ones out in the market. DO NOT BUY UNLESS U MAINLY WANT IT FOR THE LOOKS...
