These things are fantastic! They each need 4 AAA batteries (iirc), but it's so worth it for how they automatically grind when you invert them. Love them so far and would highly recommend.

Bisexual, these are awesome salt and pepper shakers I bought a cheaper pair couple years ago the pepper that come out and salt was all course not fine. These do a great job for the money you cannot beat them.
