The Moza R5 Pro wheel kit is a great starter kit for anyone getting started with sim racing, and wanting to go entry level direct drive. The R5 Pro sports a nice wheel, 6nm direct drive controller, and a set of SRP Lite 2 pedals. Straight out of the box, you’ll notice that this isn’t your average friendly entry level setup. There’s instructions, and basics, but to some degree, you’re expected to understand which screws go with what, and be generally handy with the assembly. Each piece is individually wrapped, and it’s obvious that this bundle is a group of Moza’s individual products. The direct drive motor and controller is a hefty piece of machinery. Its aluminum housing feels substantive. The motor has a sticker on it that reminds you that the wheel latching mechanism may have marks from their QA process. The same is true for the wheel. Once these stickers are removed, the two attach. In this setup, the wheel attaches separately with a ball bearing based alignment and retention mechanism. It took me a few tries to get the wheel aligned and pushed on correctly - it’s not hard, but it’s not super obvious how to align properly. The fact you can pop on another wheel if you wanted to switch over from GT or rally driving to truck driving you can simply swap out the wheel at any given point. The pedals were confusing to me at first. The connections and ports are located on the brake pedal for the most part, with the main uplink a cat 5 cable to the base. The way pedals connect to the base plate, and how that connected to my sim setup was very different from the wheel it replaced, which had the pedals in a solid unit. This pedal setup is extensible however, and allows you to position the pedals to your liking on the base plate. The dual pedal setup is great for a starter set - with decent pressure on the brake pedal, and the accelerator has a decent weight to it as well. You can further enhance pedal feel with add ons, but honestly I didn’t have trouble with the default brake pedal feel. You’ll conspicuously notice a lack of a clutch pedal, but good news - that can be added for a minimal investment. Coupled with their gated manual gearbox, you can have a full setup for an additional investment if that suits your simulator setup as it grows. In fact, that’s probably one of the best things about this starter setup. It’s a collection of individual pieces that come together for a full Moza setup. If you want to add a hand brake - that’s available, and supported by the base. Want to add a digital dash, there’s a unit that attaches directly to the wheel base. This cannot be overstated - this is a setup that has a high ceiling, so if you want to get started on a budget but grow over time, this is a great setup. Once I had everything set up, and hooked up, I eagerly connected it to my PC. After downloading the Moza Pit House software, and powering on the device (small button on the rear), the software immediately connected and offered to calibrate, and do firmware updates. The software feels a bit leaning towards the power user over the beginner, but the sheer amount of control and data you get is impressive. You can adjust the wheel’s sensitivity, dead zones, max torque, strength of feedback, pedal curves, and a lot more. To some degree it’s overwhelming, but the ability to tune your wheel settings on profiles and apply them to individual games is great. Want Euro Truck simulator to have a looser feel because you’re driving a big rig? This software has you. Want to get stronger wrists and really turn up the feedback in your sim racer - just dial it on up. In fact, the software does a great job of discovering supported games and launching them. The one trouble I had was Forza as installed by the Xbox app. That said, Forza didn’t need a lot of configuration to work well. I did purchase a Brook Ras1ution 2 - which worked flawlessly to convert this wheel to a PS5 wheel, including pedals, and nearly all the buttons. GT7 was beautiful and translated well the steering feel, force feedback, and everything. Speaking of the drive drive motor, this is a huge upgrade over the G series wheels. You get about 3x the power, a smooth linear feel, and solid feedback that is hard to qualify. This is no doubt a much better experience, for really, not that much more money. And with a much higher expansion ceiling, this kit really represents a great value. Games wise, I played a little bit of everything - from Assetto Corsa, Forza Horizon 6, and Dirt Rally 2.0 - all which worked great with this wheel. Forza, due to the non-steam launcher, was a bigger pain, but the compatibility mode in settings made it super easy to use. That said, this setting does stay flipped on in the device. This had complications when I moved to testing this wheel with my Ras1ution 2. At first, I thought the device wasn’t going to work. After updating the device’s firmware and turning Forza compatibility mode off on the wheel, GT7 was flawless and worked just as well as the other games on PC. Moza is working on a licensed PS5 wheel, but until then take a look at what Brook has made if you want to increase the compatibility of this setup. While there are a few offerings on the entry level of racing wheels, the technology has continued to advance, and the Moza represents a great setup for a great price. Sim racers will find this setup a great place to get started, and offer plenty of points for growth. Overall, the feedback is strong, wheel nice quality with great buttons and surfaces. The tactile experience is great for an entry level wheel. Highly recommended.

Upgrading from my MOZA R3 to the MOZA Racing R5 Pro Direct Drive Racing Simulator Wheel and Pedal Bundle for PC may not seem like a massive jump on paper, but I can definitely feel a difference. It is more of a step up than a complete change of direction, yet the smoother feedback, more refined feel, and compact design have made the upgrade very satisfying. I already enjoyed my R3, so seeing this setup improve on that experience without needing a dedicated racing cockpit has been a big plus. Right out of the box, the R5 Pro looks and feels like a quality piece of sim racing equipment. The wheelbase has a solid, substantial metal build while fitting nicely into my desktop setup. There are a few changes to the wheel itself, although most feel more cosmetic than performance-related. The grip texture feels a little softer and more premium in my hands, but that could also be because it is brand new. Either way, it is comfortable to hold and gives the whole setup a nicely finished feel. The pedals are another area where I notice a difference compared to my previous setup. The brake feels a little more realistic, with more resistance that makes applying pressure feel more deliberate. Both the brake and accelerator also seem to have slightly less travel, which I personally like. These are not dramatic changes, but together they make the pedal inputs feel more controlled and satisfying while racing. For now, I have the wheelbase attached directly to my desk using the clamp, and it has worked flawlessly for my setup. The mounting arrangement holds everything securely, so not having a sim racing stand has not stopped me from enjoying this bundle. I do plan to get a stand in the future, but I am completely satisfied with how it performs at my desk right now. Paired with my curved monitor and the pedals positioned underneath, it makes for a very immersive experience without having to dedicate an entire room to sim racing. The force feedback is where this upgrade really starts to shine. It is strong enough to make driving engaging without rattling my desk to death, and the delivery feels extremely smooth rather than rough or distracting. Once I get into a race, that feedback makes the whole experience feel much more connected and enjoyable. For my current desktop arrangement, it strikes a really good balance between strength, control, and comfort. The direct drive motor has also been impressively quiet. There is little to no noticeable motor noise during my use, and I have not noticed any significant heat buildup so far. My R3 only produced minimal heat, but this wheelbase has been even less noticeable in that regard during my sessions. Between the smooth operation and quiet performance, it feels like a well-refined upgrade rather than simply a stronger version of what I already had. Getting your personal settings dialed in makes a huge difference. Once the steering and force feedback feel right for your preferences, and your monitor, desk, or stand is positioned comfortably, sim racing becomes extremely satisfying. I have been playing nonstop on Forza Horizon 6, along with Forza Motorsport and Assetto Corsa, and this bundle keeps making me want to jump back in for another drive. The combination of the wheel, pedals, and my display setup makes it easy to get caught up in the experience. The quick-release wheel is another feature I appreciate, especially because this is also my everyday computer desk. Removing the wheel is convenient when I want a little more room, but keep in mind that the motor and desk clamp still stay in place. If you want your entire desktop cleared, you will need to remove the whole assembly. That is where a dedicated wheel stand would be especially useful, and it is probably the next addition I will make to this setup. Overall, the MOZA R5 Pro bundle feels like a premium entry-to-mid-level sim racing setup with a solid build, smooth direct drive feedback, and pedals that make the upgrade worthwhile for me. I find the pricing competitive, and personally, the experience feels leaps and bounds above what I expect from a basic entry-level wheel. Coming from the R3, I can appreciate the improvements without pretending this is a completely different class of racing setup. It simply takes an experience I already enjoyed and makes it better. Even attached to a desk, this bundle is awesome, and I absolutely love it.

I recently purchased the MOZA R5 Pro bundle even though I already have a full fledged racing sim setup in place because I liked the idea of having something that could be mobile as I often work out of town & find myself missing several of my league races in Iracing. My permanent setup is just that, permanent, and would take days to disassemble where this R5 bundle can be broken down in minutes and carried with me since I also have a work/gaming laptop capable of handling Iracing. Now with this said we come upon one of the few negatives that I see with the R5 bundle which is that currently it is only for PC so those of you in my same situation could not run it off of your gaming console if that was all you had. Now this does not hinder me at all so I have no complaints but I know many racers that only have a console or a tower sized desktop so this would for sure be an issue. With that negative set aside there are really only positives that are left. From the point go the setup is surprisingly quick and painless compared to most new things nowadays. There is really not much to assemble & what there is goes quick & is straightforward. A provided desk clamp makes it easy to attach the wheelbase to anything that is fairly solid such as a desk, countertop or even a coffee table if you wanted. Follow the instruction and available link to download the MOZA Pit House software which is where you will find all of your controls & customization tools. I have another brand''s equipment on my regular rig and their software but I found the Pit House to be very functional & cleanly arranged while also working without any glitches at all soo far. The R5 is a direct drive wheelbase with up to 6NM of force, while I prefer somewhere between 8 to 12 NM the 6NM is still a decent amount to experience the experience & benefits of direct drive and you can not beat the value. I paid several thousand dollars for my permanent setup & it kinda angers me how good of an experience I could have had with a bundle like this for well under $500. You simply can not match the value factor here & everything you get is quality & from a well known brand in the racing community. The wheelbase provides great clarity & feedback with a very fast response. Also provided is the ES Lite wheel with paddle shifters & SR-P Lite2 pedal set. The wheel features an aluminum quick release and tactile face buttons. The feel is not that of a premium wheel but you are not paying for that either. The buttons & paddles are solid & responsive. The SR-P pedals feature hall effect sensors and have the ability to be tuned & upgraded with an optional clutch pedal & a brake performance kit. The set is not bad out of the box but the upgrade kit is fairly affordable & does make an improvement. You will want a solid surface for them to sit on such as tile or hardwood flooring but not carpet. At a price of $399 I think this bundle is an absolute bargain & would reccommend to anyone!

Verdict: This was the first time we have owned a racing wheel and pedals… What an amazing experience! The Moza R5 Racing Bundle takes driving simulation games to another level… Actually, it’s hard to really convey how significantly better game play is with this hardware compared to a normal controller, and it’s everything… not just the fact that you are using a wheel and pedals, but it’s also the feedback, force, and vibration of the wheel that really puts you in the environment and conveys how tricky it is to play some of these games. First impression. Nice packing… the box is smaller than expected and it all assembles to something much bigger than the box. The wheel is heavy, and so is the motor. All the hardware feels like high quality, with premium and durable material. Installation. Instructions are SEVERELY lacking. Given that this was my first wheel and pedal hardware, I didn’t know what I was doing. It is not possible to put the items together using the included instructions. As these things go, I checked my favorite online video platform and found a wonderful setup video for this exact hardware. With the video, I was able to put everything together in 10 min. The quick release was a bit tricky, but once I figured out that I needed to rotate the bottom collar until the quick release snapped, it was easy. The wheel can be mounted with the bracket up or down, which gives some height flexibility. I did some research before hand on what I needed to do to make this work with Forza Horizon 6 and it worked perfectly. Gameplay. To make this work with Forza Horizon 6, I first downloaded the latest Pit House software from Moza. Then I connected just the wheel and turned on the power. Once the wheel was recognized as the primary hardware, I added the pedals. Next, I needed to configure all the buttons from scratch in Forza Horizon 6. For that, again I watched a setup video online that walked through everything button setup. I was ready to play in less than 5 minutes of hardware setup. Playing Forza 6 with the Moza R5 Pro setup is SO MUCH FUN, and stressful because the wheel will kick when you crash, or beginning spinning when going out of control. Also, using high-quality headphones or speakers to really get into the experience. I have never really experienced something like that… Not even in arcades. The buttons feel great, the wheel action is fantastic, the pedals work well, and it vibrates too. I do like to plan racing simulations, but this has taken the experience to a new level. Congratulations to the Moza team for making such a great product. Things I love: - Exceptional quality in the materials and hardware - Awesome action and gameplay experience - Smooth compatibility with my favorite racing sim - Flexible installation of the hardware - Expandable setup that can include a gear box, clutch, etc. - Quick release can accommodate different driving wheels - 2 years of warranty! Things I don’t love: - Please include better instructions, or better yet, include a QR code to a video for setup Overall, the Moza R5 Pro is AWESOME! Great hardware, great performance, great gameplay, and great experience! I most highly recommend this for beginning sim players and avid gamers.

The Moza R5 Pro Racing Simulator Wheel and Pedal for PC is an amazing package. I’m new to this level of SIM racing gear, so I cannot give a comparative review. But, as a beginner, I can tell you what I’ve experienced having had it for over a week. This package contains the main R5 wheel mount unit (and its mounting hardware) that provides the powerful, tactile experience to the included steering wheel. The R5 unit also connects to the throttle and brake pedals and their base (all of which is included). All the tools and hardware needed to set it up with a standard desk or table is included. Basic assembly and installation instructions are also included - plus QR codes for additional help and videos. Being new to this kind of setup, I watched a few YouTube videos before putting it together. However, having done that, I found it much more straightforward than anticipated. FYI I am impressed with how solid the clamping solution works with my desk table. It has stayed strong and secure while I’m exerting a lot of force on the steering wheel. Once the unit was plugged into power and connected to my PC (USB-A), I downloaded the Moza Pit House software which immediately recognized the R5 and its movements. Pit House offers e-x-t-e-n-s-i-v-e settings for adjusting every conceivable parameter of how the wheel, driving, and pedals respond and effect the overall experience. Using both (or either) Pit House or compatible gaming software, you can emulate the exact dynamics of any real-life race car. Next I fired up a compatible software ‘game’ via Steam and began the adventure. Wow. The R5 is amazing and powerful. I’ve got a lot to learn as a driver, but feeling all of the bumps and vibrations is incredible. Getting a feel for high-speed turns is exhilarating. It took me a bit to stop ‘giving in’ to the force of the wheels trying to throw the car out in a turn. It was just waiting for me to fight back against that force to keep the car on the track. All of this was just a great and intense experience. Clearly, you can start like me and then progress to advanced, professional levels of driving in a very ‘real’ setting. The Moza R5 Pro Racing Simulator Wheel and Pedal for PC is the real deal. Highly recommended.

Warning: instructions are included but provide essentially no instruction on how to assemble the steering wheel or pedals. I had to find YouTube videos to help me make sure I put everything together right. I could not find videos for the R5 Pro and had to use videos from the R5 model. The Moza website provided the same instructions and no help. I have a variety of bolts/parts leftover and no idea what they are for. Did I put everything together correctly? Not sure. Are they for add ons? Not sure here either. My low stars are to reflect as such as an advance steering wheel such as this should have detailed instructions and information. My previous experiences with steering wheels were for console only and haven’t used a pc only steering wheel at least for some time. Racing wheels are really fun and will take adjustment if you came from always using a regular gaming controller or keyboard/mouse. This steering wheel is visually awesome and is made of what feels like steel and high-quality material. Everything is blacked out and the direct drive system looks serious. As explained in the intro, there are essentially no instructions and setting this up makes you question what you just got. Not good. Everything is premium and of high quality but that feeling of you just Mickey Mouse this thing together is the worst feeling for a premium add on for a gaming experience. I had to use old YouTube videos of an older moza system and still feel low in confidence. I do like the quick release of the steering wheel it is strong but good for storing, keeping the wheel safe, and transporting. The cables connect via like a cat cable which is easy. One thing any gamer will notice right away…no clutch included and you have to purchase it separately. Maybe that’s what the extra parts are for? It has slap shifts which is cool and you can purchase a stick separately as well (normal). Software: you have to download Moza pit house for the system to work with your pc and games. You can also use Moza cockpit if you will use this for a flight simulator. There are some other softwares for fine-tuning and additional applications; however, I did not have experience to use those yet. YouTube is going to be your best friend here again….I had to watch another video to help me with Forza to setup all the controls Gameplay is pretty sweet once you are up and running. The direct drive system is better than any console system I have used in the past. With the wrapped wheel and racing pedals with realistic pressure I felt the love to drive! It is awesome to drive and the direct drive feedback could send my 3 year old off the chair …just joking but maybe haha. The steering wheel took me a few minutes to get right with all the buttons but it looks so cool. Once you have a steering wheel you can’t go back. Especially with a family! Its just too much fun! Back to the game: you will love the thrill of driving and feel connected to the game more over a controller or keyboard. As you this system you will make adjustments to make it your own experience. Extra note: you can’t add this to your PlayStation or Xbox it’s really only for PC. Great racing wheel with a questionable setup. Moza needs to fix the manual and setup problem quickly. Honestly, a video tutorial would be best.

Significant upgrade from my prior gforce. The sheer robustness of the entire system is evidenced in the weight of the mount/motor system for the wheel. It was easily attached to the mounting plate of my racing seat, but you can tell this is a quality system. From the first drive, the feedback was stellar as it had a significantly higher level of force as you were turning, counter-steering, or coming out of slides. That level of feedback has been noticeable in that it better equips you to understand what's happening with the car so it definitely felt like my driving improved at least from my mental perspective. Probably the only downside is not having a clutch pedal, but if I miss it too much I'll probably just purchase what is assumably an add-on. The real star of the show here is the wheel/steering system and that completely justifies switching to this setup over my prior. Even without the clutch though, I much prefer the actuation on this set as the pedals have significant realistic give and it was just a superb experience overall.

Moza is really making a name for itself lately. In the last 5 years, this brand has really come up into the big leagues. Take the recently announces partnership with Gran Turismo World Series back in July 2026.. Bigger things are coming for the brand so I would be interested to keep a lookout to the future. Upon unboxing, I immediately wondered how they packaged all the equipment in the box and I was not disappointed with the care taken to actually package the equipment. Everything was in order and the instructions seemed pretty straight forward. I was going to setup this at a desk I had. It is important to note that desk height and thickness of the top itself is important for certain clamping positions and to be able to accommodate your legs. The pedals are not great on carpet as it really rocks around when playing. You only get 4 rubber pads that might be better suited for hard floors. Also, note that this would of course be better suited for a dedicated racing rig. Being that this "pro" version is better suited for those willing to mount to a racing rig, you get a lot of added hardware to best mount to your rig. There is a lot of trial and error to test specific settings when going through initial setup. Enter Moza Pit House software. Here you can see what games can be utilized and configured to best meet your connected hardware. You can modify a ton of settings from feedback response, paddle shifter travel, RPM LEDS, Pedal travel, setup dedicated presets, and much more. During gameplay in Forza Horizon 5, I was able to pickup where I left off with my last steering wheel configurations. A slight learning curve, or maybe it was just that I hadn't played in a while but I quickly was off having fun. The in game settings can also be toggled to suit your needs on this combo wheel/pedals. This is aimed towards the entry to intermediate racing gamers that want to step up their game from a general wheel and have more control over the haptics and feedback. Out of a few hours of gameplay, this performed marvelously. I had one occasional hiccup where the wheel got stuck tilted and was vibrating but after a forced reset, it was performing ok. Be prepared to tinker with settings, this is the territory that comes with having options.

The MOZA R5 Pro Racing Simulator is an impressive entry-level kit for someone looking into the world of direct-drive racing wheels. It offers premium construction, powerful force feedback, and plenty of customization through MOZA’s software, called Pit House. I would consider myself a casual racing sim player. I do have a dedicated F1 cockpit with a belt-driven wheelbase and pedals from a competing brand. I paid nearly twice as much for it during the pandemic lockdown and it’s not nearly as good as this kit from MOZA. The feedback from the road feels much more accurate with the R5 Pro’s direct-drive wheelbase. The bundle includes a 6 Nm wheelbase, a steering wheel, two pedals (accelerator and brake) and the desktop mounting clamp. The base and steering wheel are excellent. The pedals, however, are just ok. They certainly get the job done, but they do not feel as authentic as other systems I’ve used, including my older F1 kit. One of the advantages of this kit is you can easily upgrade the pedals or any other component to expand your experience with other peripherals from MOZA. If you need a clutch, a manual shifter, or handbrake they offer one and it’s compatible with this kit. I play a lot of American Truck Simulator and was excited to learn they offer a specific wheel for ATS which I’m very tempted to buy. So far, I’ve played Forza Horizon 6, Forza Motorsport, and American Truck Simulator. For now, I am simply using it at my gaming desk with the included desk clamp, but am considering upgrading to a more permanent truck simulator setup. The R5 Pro performs well. Steering with the wheel is considerably more immersive than using a controller. You can actually feel the resistance through the wheel as you navigate the corners and respond to road conditions. While I do hear some humming from the wheelbase, the direct-drive system is quieter than my older wheelbases, which produce some noticeable mechanical noise. The Pit House software allows for an incredible amount of customization, more than I can or care to understand. I primarily use it to make sure that all of the components are online, and to test that all is working as expected before firing up a game. I do like to adjust some things for different games, like the steering angle, which determines how many turns you need for full lock of steering. For the most part, I leave the rest of the settings alone or use some of the built-in presets. There are presets for other games like iRacing and Assetto Corsa. One thing that’s not immediately obvious is that the Home tab in Pit House displays a list of racing games. Select the games you have installed and click “Configure”. This allows the software to configure game-specific settings, including telemetry for the RPM Engine indicator on the wheel. F1 25 had everything mapped correctly, recognized the wheel as a Moza ES, and the RPM LEDs functioned as they should. Forza Horizon was the one game I had trouble with, as it recognized the R5 Pro as an “unknown wheel” which forced me to map everything manually. All that said, the most frustrating part was the assembly instructions. They are very brief, with not a lot of diagrams. I was concerned I didn’t put the pedals together correctly because the heel plate did not touch the floor. After watching videos online and reviewing other people’s setups, I confirmed that I had mounted the pedals correctly to the heel plate. It just doesn’t touch the floor, meaning it can rock toward you, which happened to me frequently. This is primarily an issue when using the pedals directly on a floor. Securing them to a racing cockpit or to a wall would eliminate the problem. Another thing to note is the components included in this kit are PC-only. Pros: - Excellent build quality and premium materials - Powerful and responsive 6Nm force feed - Very capable for entry-level direct-drive kit - Extensive customization through MOZA Pit House software - Modular design allows for upgrades - Includes desk clamp for casual or mounting hardware for dedicated racing setup - RGB engine RPM indicators - Mostly quiet operation Cons: - Poor assembly instructions - Pedal heel plate doesn’t touch floor - PC only Overall, this is an excellent entry-level racing kit for someone who is looking to get into sim racing on a budget. It provides outstanding value and a satisfying and immersive experience for newcomers and casual racing sim fans alike.

SETUP / INSTALLATION The setup process was pretty simple and straightforward. I installed the wheel on my existing computer desk since I do not have a dedicated racing rig yet, although I definitely plan on getting one in the future. The included desk clamp made installation easy, and the wheel mounted securely without much effort. It does help that my desk has a thick wooden top, approximately 2.5 to 3 inches, which provides a nice sturdy surface. Windows recognized the wheel and pedals without any issues, and getting everything connected and ready to use was simple. I did not experience any hardware or software problems during setup. BUILD / FEEL The build quality is one of the first things I noticed. The steering wheel feels very solid, and the materials and craftsmanship give it a premium feel. It definitely does not feel like a cheap gaming accessory. The aluminum wheelbase feels sturdy, and everything seems well constructed to handle the resistance and movement that comes with racing. The included pedals also have a solid feel, and the overall setup feels like actual driving controls rather than typical gaming accessories. STEERING / FORCE FEEDBACK The direct-drive force feedback makes a huge difference in how racing games feel. You can actually feel the resistance when turning, the struggle of navigating corners, and the impact when hitting curbs. One of the things that impressed me most was feeling the steering wheel pull when I started losing control of the car. Instead of just watching the vehicle slide on the screen, you actually feel the steering fighting against you. The force feedback makes the steering feel much more realistic. It adds another level to the experience that you simply cannot get from using a regular controller. I can only imagine how much better it will feel once I have a dedicated racing rig instead of using my desk. GAMING EXPERIENCE I have been using the R5 Pro with Forza, and the difference compared to using a regular controller is night and day. I used to play racing games with a control pad, and while it was enjoyable, using a steering wheel and pedals completely changes the experience. You really will not believe the difference until you try it. What used to feel like a casual racing game now feels much more competitive. The resistance in the wheel, steering feedback, and having to use your feet to accelerate and brake make the experience much more immersive. You can feel the adrenaline pumping when navigating turns, trying to maintain control, or pushing the car through a race. It is no longer just pressing buttons and watching the car respond. You are physically involved in what is happening on the screen. I have not experienced any lag, hardware problems, or software issues during gameplay. HONEST NEGATIVE I really have not experienced any major negatives with the wheel or its performance. The only issue so far has been keeping the pedals from sliding on the floor. Since I do not have a dedicated racing rig, I placed some anti-slip rubber pads underneath, which helped keep them in place. It is not a dealbreaker, but securing the pedals with ananti slip pad would definitely make the setup feel more stable, especially when braking aggressively. Other than that, the build quality has been excellent, installation was simple, and the force feedback has performed very well. OVERALL I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys racing games and wants something more immersive than a regular controller. You do not necessarily need an expensive racing rig to get started, although having one would probably make the experience even better. You are no longer just playing a racing game. You are driving!

The Moza R5 Pro is what I would consider a great direct drive wheel, especially if you are new to sim racing and have never experienced a direct drive wheel or if you are looking for an upgrade from a gear (e.g. Logitech 920) or belt driven wheel (e.g. Thrustmaster T300GT). The realism in terms of feeling the stiffness of the wheel, the feedback of the road, is another level compared to wheels that I used prior. It's truly an enjoyable experience and is really good value for the money. The R5 Pro delivers 6Nm of torque, which is about ~9% more than older R5. I haven't used the R5 so can't comment whether this is a noticeable upgrade over the earlier generation. I had previously had the Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels so that is my frame of reference. If you are looking for a plug and play wheel on PC, I wouldn't say this is that necessarily. This is a tinkerer's dream though and I am still learning all of the settings that are available in the Moza Pitracing software that installs on a Windows PC. There are many settings that can be adjusted for the wheel, base, and pedals, allowing you to dial in the realism, stiffness, feedback levels, spring, etc to provide a realistic feel as you drive in your favorite game. So is this wheel right for you? Moza is relatively newer to the sim racing scene and I would say check the site for whether your favorite games are supported. Many newer games (2021+) are supported, but I've found that you might need to tinker with XML files (Codemasters games), flip compatibility switches (Forza Horizon 4) to get the wheel recognized. There are helpful knowledge articles on the Moza site to get you going. Now the games I like to play are more arcade racing based vs. true sim, and I've been able to get the wheel working well with emulated racing games that provide force feedback. The result is really fun and an immersive experience. That being said, the game that I am mostly playing now is Forza Horizon 6, which was relatively straightforward to get working, though I did have to manually map all the buttons in the game, whereas my older wheels had default profiles and were recognized immediately. In terms of the pedals, the included SR-P Lite pedals are adequate. They have hall effect sensors that effectively measure the distance that you press them down to determine how hard to brake / accelerate as opposed to load cell pedals that use force to determine braking. I can see me upgrading these at some point, but again for my arcade preference, these are good enough. Last piece of information I will touch on is how to mount these. I have an older Playseat Evolution cockpit., and the Moza R5 Pro wheel base and pedals do not have a layout that fully fits my cockpit. That's not a Moza problem per se, and I was able to work around this by temporarily using the included desk clamp to mount the wheel base to my cockpit while I ordered a custom adapter to provide a more clean look longer term. Overall I am extremely excited to use this wheel. I've wondered if I would really appreciate the direct drive difference, and I can say the feel of the wheel is superb and I wish I had made the leap earlier.

I’ve used wheel controllers for racing games throughout the years on my PC, so when the opportunity to get Moza wheel - this time the R5 Pro - came up, I had to jump at it. I’ve used Moza wheels in the past and have always been happy with them, even compared to other brands of racing sim wheels. The R5 Pro exceeded my expectations. The steering wheel itself was the right size for my setup. I tried it out with a variety of games, including a few Forza entries, a couple Dirt entries, Project Cars 1 and 2, a few Assetto Corsa titles, and Euro Truck Simulator 2. Some games were a little more difficult to configure than others, but once set up, everything worked as expected. As for the steering feedback, I was very impressed by the direct drive design. Every car I drove in every game gave me the kind of feedback I was expecting, whether drifting turns on tight road courses or taking long, winding turns on simulated highways. The accelerator and brake pedals were about what I was expecting, and allowed me a level of modulation you can’t get from a controller. While I would like to see brake pedal feedback, I was overall impressed. Physical setup is also pretty easy - a couple of cables, install the software for the wheel, and power the wheel on. The base attaches firmly to a desk or a sim rig frame, while the pedals hold themselves well against most flooring or can be installed to a sim rig frame. The wheel itself is also interchangeable; it comes with a standard wheel but can be swapped out to any available styles moza makes, including F1, Sparco, and large wheels. The only negative I could come up with is after a long play session, the base may be quite warm. It doesn’t get alarmingly hot like some other brands of racing wheels can, and you won’t need to have a fan blow on it to keep it from overheating. Even then, I’d call it expected behavior Overall, the R5 is a solid option for the price. I see it as a solid option for beginners and intermediate racers alike, and for those who are looking at improving their sim setup.

This kit completely changes how racing games feel. I've mostly been playing Forza Horizon 5/6 and it's an entirely different experience from using a controller or keyboard. You feel the bumps in the road, the shift points, when the car is about to lose grip, all of it. There's also a ton of configuration available through Moza's software (Pit House), which you do need to download. You can adjust things like feedback strength, how many degrees of rotation you want lock to lock, shift lights, and more. That said, the default config was good enough for me and I didn't end up changing much. Setup in game was mostly plug and play. All I really had to do was map a few keybindings to the buttons on the wheel. One note: you need to enable telemetry in game (at least for Forza) for the shift lights to work correctly. Rally racing especially comes alive with this, though your arms can get a bit tired after several races. Being able to feel what the car is doing is awesome, but if you're coming from a controller, expect to need a handful of laps to "relearn" driving. It took me a few to get the hang of keeping and regaining traction when I overcooked a corner. I did get a chance to compare it with a Logitech G29. Not totally a fair comparison since the G29 is cheaper, but this Moza R5 was a night and day difference in steering feedback and in how much I enjoyed the game. It did take a bit more assembly than I expected. Nothing difficult, but you have to screw the wheel base onto the desk clamp and screw the pedals onto their plate yourself. All the tools were included though. It seems like everything is designed to be easily mounted into a sim rig, which is probably why some assembly is required. I also appreciated that all the cables are removable, so you can swap in shorter or longer ones if that works better for your setup. My two minor complaints are the pedals and the desk mount. The pedals liked to walk around a bit during use (at least on carpet). I ended up screwing them down to a sheet of wood and that solved it. The desk mount hangs a bit low, so you may need to be mindful of your knees. If you're on the fence about getting into sim racing, this is a great place to start without getting too crazy in price.

My two favorite types of video games are first person shooters and driving/racing games. That is pretty much all I play. Playing racing games with a standard controller versus with a racing SIM is two much different things. Growing up I had some cheap racing wheels and although it was fun to play with them it did not make you feel like you were driving the cars. The Moza R5 Pro is on a whole new level. Even when compared to other high-quality racing wheels, the Moza feels much more premium. Right out of the box the Moza R5 Pro includes everything you need, the wheel, pedals, and mounting hardware to clamp to a desk or rig. It does not end there, Moza offers additional accessories that you can buy including a shifter, clutch pedal, and even other wheels. I think one of the two biggest things that sets this wheel apart from others is the quick detach and premium feel. It feels like a real steering wheel, not just some cheap plastic toy. The fact that it can quick detach allows you to easily store it or change it out for a different type of wheel. The pedals are easy to use and offer smooth movements so that you can accelerate and decelerate perfectly. Moza’s latest algorithm offers a more dynamic and smooth operations making it feel like you are driving a real car. It feels entirely natural and just about the closest you can come to driving. The best part about the whole setup is that it I sleek and compact. If you are someone like me who does not have a lot of space it is easy enough to pack away when not in use. If you are someone who enjoys racing games and wants to bring your racing to the next level, the R5 pro is the system for you. I highly recommend getting this setup. This is probably the highest quality wheel you will find on the market for the price. It works and feels great whether it is attached to a desk or a full racing simulator.

If I could only use one word to describe this Moza Racing R5 Pro Direct Drive Racing Simulator Wheel and Pedal Bundle it would have to be WOW! I have had an older name brand steering wheel and pedal combo that had served its purpose and was still working fine. BUT, when I received this I was impressed, first and foremost how they package this thing, it comes well protected. This wheel and pedal system just feels good. It is very well made and looks great, and that’s important. I had the older wheel mounted to my computer desk and it worked well, but this Moza R5 Pro just has so much “power” it shook the entire desk, so I purchased a stand for it and again, WOW! It made the biggest difference in the performance of this wheel. I have several racing games that I play but as soon as I received this I purchased the new NASCAR 26 game and I have to tell you this just makes the game so much better. Granted, there are so many settings to use and try that I have only opened up about 1% of what this Moza steering wheel can do. I was so impressed that I ordered the clutch pedal from Moza’s website (Haven’t received it yet and can’t wait) This just makes sim racing so much better. Trust me, there are a lot of options out there and I haven’t tried but two, but I can’t imagine any of the others being any better than this. The buttons are all in reach and so easy to learn, the feel of the steering wheel in your hands feels good, This is a very, very well made and thought out device, and I am so glad I received it. Moza hit a homerun w/ this wheel and pedal combo. I HIGHLY recommend it

I have been looking into upgrading my existing racing simulator rig with a higher end racing wheel setup. I had a Logitech setup that had served me well, but it was time to upgrade. Luckily, I was able to get my hands on the Moza Racing - R5 Pro Direct Drive Racing Simulator Wheel. Right off the bat, you can tell the quality difference between my old Logitech setup and the Moza Racing wheel setup. For starters, the wheel base is extremely sturdy and has a much better more race inspired design than my old setup. Although heavy, that is to be expected from the Moza Racing - R5 Pro Direct Drive Racing Simulator Wheel, as it contains a much stronger motor. This has made for a much better steering feel and responsive steering wheel system. The steering wheel contains many programable inputs that puts the driver in full control. I really like the tach/shift light feature in top of the steering wheel, which makes for a truly race-inspired steering wheel. One thing that I really like about Moza Racing wheels is how easy it is to expand on the the steering wheel options. From adding a clutch pedal and all the way to custom steering wheels, you are not only in full control of the game but also in full control of customization. I would highly recommend the Moza Racing - R5 Pro Direct Drive Racing Simulator Wheel.
