This was a perfect gift for my fiance - he is sometimes hard to buy for, but is a total beer snob. Now he has been brewing his own beers and loving it! Easy to understand instructions, plenty of variety to choose from, and great tasting beer as a result.

I'm trying different styles/methods of home brew. This one was by far the most simple. Not for people who want a process they can alter, but super easy for someone wanting to try a simple brew. Literally boil some water, open the can, mix it up and you're done. Don't get to try it for another month so i cant comment on the taste, but the process was easy.

I got this for my husband a few years ago. His original keg broke and he loved making beer so much I decided to get him another one! We love making beer together!

This is a good entry-level beer brewing kit. The materials are pretty much all plastic, and I am a little concerned about product durability, but I would recommend it to someone who wants to get started brewing at home. The directions, including the DVD, are well-done.

This makes a fantastic gift for those guys who have everything or if you have no idea what they want. I bought it for someone as a birthday gift. We followed the directions, which were easy to follow and very clear, and in less than 2 hours we had a batch of beer brewing. When the beer was ready a few weeks later we opened the first bottle and the beer tasted great, like an expensive import. I couldn't have picked a better gift. It worked out so well I wish I had bought two of the kits, so I could give one to someone else, especially with Christmas right around the corner..

I was surprised to be able to order something like this from Best Buy. I have started my first batch of beer but haven't reached the point of drinking it...yet. It is very easy to do. I look forward to many good beers from this kit.

Awesome item. I purchased Mr. Beer to "try" making beer at home. I figured it would be difficult, messy, smelly and not taste very good. I was wrong on all accounts. The kit makes it easy to make beer and the beer is yummy. I recommend the purchase of Mr. Beer.

My brothers always been a craft beer lover and really enjoys trying anything a local brewery has. When I first bought this for him as a early chirstmas present I was worried it was going to being a little too on the beginner level for him. However when he opened it on thanksgiving day he was thrilled. He loved it and put the DVD in right away. Now he's currently working on brewing us up a chirstmas IPA

Overall it's pretty good little beer kit but only bought mine on sale. It's pretty easy to use but they get you with the add on sales. The beer mix kits cost almost as much as buying the unit and you've got to buy the cleaning supplies every time too. If you want to get into brewing your own beer this is a really easy entry level kit. However if you think you might get serious with brewing your own beer I'd pass this on by.
