We had this coffeemaker for just under 18 months and inexplicably the "water pump" -- or whatever it is that draws the water and heats it -- stopped working. Pressed on, heard the click that makes it seems like starting to work, then the "bleeps of death." We got a magnificent price on this unit (on sale for $25). We saved that much easily in the first month without buying a drop of coffee outside the house. But yes, I do expect a coffeemaker to last longer. Aside from our disappointment, it's still one of the best we've ever had. Truly makes a good pot of coffee, without needing a filter basket full of grind for the right strength. So it would have been 5-stars until today but even with its limited lifespan, I'll still give it 4.

This coffee maker is fairly easy to use. I bought extra filters for the coffee bin to keep out extra impurities. I like the feature where you can opt for a stronger brew with a touch of a button. The upper bin which holds the coffee grounds and the filter is a bit temperamental if you do not put a sufficient amount of grounds in it. That is why I did not give this model a five. But if you are making 8 cups of coffee or more each time you should not encounter any problem. Enjoy your coffee!

Best coffee maker ever! Best purchase for a great tasting, hot cup of coffee. Beautiful design and great for or kitchen cabinets. Totally recommend will not be disappointed.

This coffee maker looks nice and works well. I do like all the features. You get all the basics such as auto pause, auto shut off (2 hours), clock etc. List of other features: -Delay Brew Time – Brew your coffee when you want. -Fresh Brew Timer – Tells you how long it has been since you brewed. -Brew Strength Selector – Normal or strong flavor, your choice. -Water Filter – See below One other simple feature we like about the carafe itself is the lid is on a hinge. Our last one did not have that, and we really like that. Make it easier to fill, empty etc. This unit utilizes the paper filters. I do prefer the re-usable style myself so we may purchase one. The water filter is nice for those that have city water. It is a carbon-based filter that states it will remove 97% of the chlorine. That is not only healthy, but really improves the taste of the coffee. The top door is large which makes it quite easy for filling the water. You also have a window down the side of the unit to see you water level. I cannot comment durability quite yet as we have only had it for a couple weeks. Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffee maker! Out of the box, you get the base with pre-programmed buttons and the 12 cup pot, nothing more and nothing less! Setup is pretty straight forward. Just have to clean the pot and off you go to making your first brew! There is nothing terribly fancy about this coffee maker, however the features it has to brew later make it very very awesome! You can set it to start brewing in a 24 hour window. This means, you can get it ready at night and set it to brew in the morning when you get up. Pretty convenient especially if you want fresh coffee when you rise and shine! Some other notable features are the auto-pause which allows you to fill a cup before the pot is done brewing and the strong brew option. If you are in a hurry and need to get your fix instead of waiting, the auto pause feature is your best friend! The strong brew option is also nice in creating a slightly stronger tasting pot (not much but enough to be noticeable anyways). Overall, this coffee maker does what it's supposed to at a decent price. I would recommend this to anyone that is in need of a fresh coffee maker!

It works very well if you put the right gr of coffee in it makes a delicious coffee where you can feel all the tannins. I love the way how foam the milk, is easy to clean and use.

Your basic drip coffee maker at a decent price. I have often used the programmable timer and literally need the automatic shut off. It is great to wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and not have to race back from work because I forgot to shut the thing off. Easy to use and the filter basket stays clean of grounds, unlike some more expensive models I have tried and given away.

We have owned Mr. Coffee brands in the past so we were not hesitant when we purchased the 12 cup coffee maker. This model was reasonable priced and best of all it makes great tasting coffee. As with most coffee makers it is important to do regular cleaning to ensure the unit will last. The coffee maker is very easy to use with just one click of a button to start brewing. I would recommend this model for anyone looking for an affordable, no frills coffee maker that makes great tasting coffee.

So far so good. Like the size of the coffee pot. and get my hand inside to clean. Makes good coffee. Hope it last a long time.

Nice easy to use good size love the timer but if disconnected have to reset time!

Simple to use and durable coffee maker. The strong brew option is great for those that like a fuller-darker stronger taste. Even after brewing it remains hot for a long period of time.

I purchased this unit to replace an aging and malfunctioning coffee maker. I appreciate the strong setting for brewing; the unit has been fairly easy to use. The user's manual included in the box is very basic; you need to go online to find the actual manual with more information.

Mr. Coffee. A name that was synonymous with coffee a few decades back. Recent trends have been to use coffee pods. Convenient yes. Inexpensive no. Environment friendly no way. I felt the urge to receive this coffee maker and was not disappointed. But there is one more reason I prefer this coffee maker over the pod type: The coffee is hotter and stays hotter longer. That is important to me.

Easy to use, quiet and efficient. I don't know if the newness adds good flavor but I would expect the extra top filter slows the water flow allowing a stronger cup of coffee. Even with the slower water flow, the pot of coffee is done much quicker than my old pot. And, the stainless and black finish compliment the new kitchen appliances.

Average coffee maker for someone who drinks lot of coffee. You can only brew 12 cups of coffee. There was no option to do a small size brew. Quality was size. You would need coffee filter or sone other filter. It doesn’t come with anything. It is a very basic coffee machine but worth the price and is a nice product if you have couple of coffee drinkers in your house. One person cannot drink so much coffee.

Love the size of the coffee maker because it is compact yet carries 12 cups of coffee or tea. The delayed brewing feature is a must. The coffee machine is quieter than most similar type of machines. I would be great if the company would include a plastic filter, but that is personal preference. The machine functions as expected and is a good companion for small kitchen.

To date, I am quite satisfied with my purchase of the Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffee maker. It was very easy to setup. I have used the regular and strong brew cycles and have noticed the difference in brew strength. The Delay Brew function is accurate. I like the Fresh Brew Timer which indicates how long the coffee has been in the pot. All in all, very pleased with the purchase and have had no problems with it to date.
