I absolutely love this coffee pot. Boyfriend bought a big expensive Ninja coffee maker, but I still use this everyday. I fill will 14oz (most makers don’t go over 12oz) and 2 TBSP of coffee grounds, and a perfect cup every morning.

GREAT SINGLE CUP DRIP HOT / COLD MR COFFEE MAKER
OVERALL
I have to say I was really surprised at how well the coffee maker performed. I’ve had horrible luck with other drip coffee makers, and the MR. COFFEE SINGLE-SERVE ICED AND HOT COFFEE MAKER makes a really good cup of coffee both hot and cold. Until recently we only used single disposable cup brewers, but we hated all the waste they produced. Mostly we have switched to espresso drinks, but sometimes you just want some coffee without the hassle of espresso and all that involves. Follow the simple instructions and you will get perfect results. There is a convenient 2-sided scope that snaps into the side of the maker. Use the large scoop for iced coffee and the small scoop for an 8 oz hot coffee. I like that is it pretty attractive, with faux marble base (plastic) and a nice soft blue color with chrome accents. it is not something you have to hide away. Overall, it is pretty foolproof, which (being a fool) I appreciate. With regular full sized drip coffee makers, I can never get the ratio of grounds to water correct. Since the MR. COFFEE SINGLE-SERVE ICED AND HOT COFFEE MAKER is optimized for a single use, there is no guess work.
The brewer is about 13 inches tall, so make sure you have space under your cabinets to be able to add water and grounds.
The taste was great, we used our medium roast espresso beans, and a very fine grind on the beans. The ice does melt pretty quickly as you might expect. Don’t be tempted to add extra ice, it makes it overly watery. The coffee is hot around 160 degrees and is well brewed.

RECOMMENDATION
I can’t compare to other single cup drip brewers, but honestly it just makes a good cup of coffee and that is all that matters. So yes, I do recommend the MR. COFFEE SINGLE-SERVE ICED AND HOT COFFEE MAKER.

This is a single serve option for hot or iced coffee. Works best for iced if you put half the ice in first then top it off with ice and your preferred milk, half N half, flavor or whatever.

Quick Hot or Iced Coffee

If you really enjoy fresh brewed iced coffee then this is the machine for you. The Mr. Coffee Single-serve Iced and Hot Coffee Maker advertises fresh brewed coffee in under 4 minutes. I timed a cup of 16oz hot coffee, and it finished in 3minutes. The Cold brew is about 10oz of water and brews in 2minutes and 45 seconds.
The machine is designed to use grounds and comes with a very nice reusable filter. The filter mesh is tight enough to not let any grounds through, and seems pretty durable. However, I would take a little caution in cleaning it, as to not try to force cleaning utensils or brushes too hard against the mesh. The brew basket and reusable coffee filter are the only parts recommended for dishwasher cleaning.
The machine also has a built-in storage spot for the coffee scoop, so you can always find it when you need it. The scoop has two separate measuring cups, one for hot brews, and one for cold brews. The cold brew scoop is twice as large as the hot brew to accommodate the added water the melted ice will make. The scoop has measurement instructions on it for how many of which scoops to use per amount of brewed coffee/ounces desired.
I like that this machine uses grounds, I have too many coffee machines that use pods, and I used to hate being limited by what kind of pods and flavors we could use. I know that both pod and ground coffee can also use the creamers and liquid flavor additives, but I like the versatility of buying the different grounds.
The iced coffee actually brews hot, but at a lower temperature than the hot brew. So just be aware it will melt most of the ice in the tumbler, I usually have an inch or two of ice remaining at the top of the cup after everything is finished. The iced brew usually keeps a temperature of about 42 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. With no lid, my iced coffee maintained a 42 degree temperature for over 40 minutes. If you like your iced coffee freezing cold with tons of ice still in the cup, I would recommend brewing the cold brew as normally directed but without the ice in the cup first. Once the brewing is finished take the coffee and let it cool off either on the table or fridge for a bit. Once that is closer to room temp, then add all your ice and other additives for that super chilled iced coffee, with ice from top to bottom.
The cold brew button usually produces coffee at about 150 to 154 degrees Fahrenheit. So it might take a bit to cool off naturally, alternatively you could make it extra strong and put some ice in as you are waiting for it to cool off, before filling the whole cup with extra ice, if you still prefer the top to bottom tier of ice.
The hot brewed coffee usually reaches a temperature closer to 180 degrees Fahrenheit, so just a word of caution before that first sip.
The design of the coffee maker is pretty simple with just 2 buttons, one for hot and one for cold brew. The basket, filter and water reservoir sit underneath a flip top lid. The water reservoir has tiered measurement markings making it very easy to see what ounce coffee you can make. The drip tray lifts out for easy cleaning, and the unit is fairly compact. The unit is pretty light at just over 5lbs, so it is easy to pull out from under the cabinets to add water or coffee.
It measures approximately; 9.5" deep, 5.75" wide, 13" tall, and 17" tall with the lid up.
Overall this is a pretty nice coffee maker trying to marry the best of both worlds at an inexpensive price. It's a pretty nice machine, simple and to the point with some nice features, like the reusable filter, attachable scoop and insulated tumbler. It also makes great tasting coffee too.
I have included some pictures of the iced brew without using actual coffee to make it easier to see the remaining ice, in the normal cold brew process. If you don't need a cup filled top to bottom with ice, you can get a nice iced coffee in under 3minutes!

Excellent Dual Purpose Coffee Maker

The Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Maker is a simple coffee brewing station that includes everything you need to make iced or hot coffee. The maker includes a reusable tumbler (cup, lid, and straw), permanent mesh filter, and measuring cups. The main focus of this machine is brewing iced coffee, but it has a hot coffee mode as well. I am not a coffee drinker, but I am surrounded by them at times. I enjoy making different drinks for my partner, and my mom who was in town visiting.
The design of the machine is fairly minimalistic, yet stylish and well thought out. The majority of the body comes in a soft touch light blue plastic. The base is a glossy plastic faux marble with a chromed drip plate. Along the left side is the built-in measuring cup storage. The top hinges to the side, which keeps the overall height down and allows me to keep it back against the wall underneath on the counter underneath my cabinets. There are 2 function buttons on the front right near the bottom – hot brew or iced brew. The tumbler sits on a removable metal drip plate. The top contains the water reservoir, brewing showerhead, brew basket, and filter. Most items included are hand wash only with the exception of the filter and brew basket.
Initial setup was straightforward. I handwashed all of the parts, and then ran an initial cycle. The directions didn’t give any guidance regarding the type of grounds to use – I settled on using a medium grind after a couple of brews – it’s a similar grind that I use for my pour over carafe. The included scoop has 2 sides – 1 for iced and 1 for hot. Making an iced coffee meant filling the included tumbler up with water up to the water line marked on the tumbler. Dump it into the reservoir, and then fill the tumbler back up with ice to the ice line. My partner likes her coffee stronger so I added 2 scoops of grinds with the “iced” side – the manual says 1-2 depending on how strong you like it. Starting it up is just a simple button push. The brewing process for iced coffee starts with an initial running of the showerhead, and then a pause. This allows the coffee to bloom and release more flavor. Total brew time is just a few minutes. There’s room left in the tumbler for your favorite add-ins (creamer, milk, etc.). Making a cup of hot coffee works pretty similarly. Fill up your preferred mug (instructions recommend a taller mug to reduce splashing) with however much water you want brewed. Using the “hot” side of the scooper you add in your grounds – again went with 2 scoops of a medium grind. Hitting the hot brew button starts the process, which again only lasts a few minutes – there is no pause for hot brew though.
First impressions with the hot coffee were pretty good. My partner takes a carry mug for work and usually just does a single cup. The single serve size was perfect for her, and the brew was as good as my drip maker.
Moving on to the main reason for this coffee maker – the iced coffee. It really makes a great tumbler of iced coffee. One of the things that always been a little tough using the drip maker is getting the ratio of ice right – this makes it easy. The lines on the tumbler are clearly marked for where to fill. The nice part about those marks are they are located on the inner section of the tumbler so they will never rub free by holding onto your cup. You should try to use solid iced cubes – think ice maker or ice cube tray otherwise it melts too quickly. I initially used some ice cubes leftover from a store bag-of-ice, but they melted away far too fast. I added some creamer, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce to make a fancy little drink. I think at this point an iced coffee has been made everyday this week, so its been a hit.
After care is pretty straightforward. Clean out the drip plate if anything got in it, knock out the old grounds, and rinse things off. Clean-up is just as easy as any other coffee maker. I will note that if you want to make back to back cups then to be careful because the grounds will still be hot when swapping them out.
Overall this is a great single serve coffee maker. I like the stylish look of it, and its overall simplicity. I think we are planning to ditch our pod based machine and have this take its place. Its really nice to have an easy way to make an iced coffee, or change it up for a hot brew. This should save us money in the long run since anytime I have to make a coffee run its for an iced coffee or a cold brew.

First of all, this coffee maker is SO pretty! I love the grey-blue color and the faux-marble bottom, and it is definitely something I wouldn't mind leaving out on my counter. The coffee maker itself is very small and takes up very little counter space. I also love that a measuring spoon is included with the coffee maker, and that there is a spot embedded in the body of the coffee maker to store said spoon. (The included measuring spoon is double-ended, with slightly different sized spoons on each end. One end is for measuring ground coffee when brewing hot coffee, and the other is for iced coffee.)
Initial setup and usage of the coffee maker was very easy to figure out - it literally has two buttons. A reusable coffee filter basket is included, so all you need is a cup (if brewing hot coffee) and ground coffee. For iced coffee a tumbler is included with marked lines identifying the amount of water needed for brewing and how much ice to fill the tumbler with. For hot coffee, you just take whatever mug you want to use, fill it with water, and then pour that water into the reservoir. The reservoir has steps to indicate how much water was added, which determines how many scoops of coffee to add for brewing. From there, you either press the button for hot coffee or cold coffee and away it goes. Brewing starts immediately and is impressively fast. It takes less than a couple minutes to brew a large, iced coffee.
Overall I was very impressed with this coffee maker. For our household, a single brew machine makes the most sense and I appreciate the reduced waste aspect (no pods and no filters) of this machine compared to the more popular single serve machine on the market today. I also love the versatility of this machine in allowing the usage of nearly any tumbler or cup you already own, plus the ability to brew for hot or cold coffee. The only negative I found with this machine is the cord length. It's definitely on the short side. I did not have a problem with the shorter cord length for my kitchen setup, but I could see where it might be a problem for others.

I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical when I saw this Mr. Coffee hot and cold brewer. Claiming something is made for hot and cold coffee seemed like a gimmick, considering it brews hot either way and ice makes it cold coffee. I was so happy to be wrong!
The first thing I did was run water through the machine using the hot setting and then the cold setting, and used a food thermometer to see if it brewed differently. The cold setting poured about 10 degrees cooler than the hot setting. It seemed like a small difference but after making a cup of iced coffee, and comparing to my Pod coffee machine (over ice), there was a noticeable difference. The coffee was cold and ready to drink as soon as the pour finished, compared to having to allow it to sit for a few minutes to get cold when using a different machine for brewing.
Here are some things that are great:
- The included cup has a fill line for ice as well as for water, to help get the perfect ratio for cold coffee.
- The dual sided scoop measures out a perfect serving for hot or cold coffee.
- The scoop actually fits into the side of the machine for storage, so it’s not loose on the counter.
- Despite recommending using the included cup to measure water, there are fill lines in the water reservoir indicating how many ounces of water have been added.
We’ve been using Pod coffee for years now, and I forgot how much better fresh coffee tastes. I still think it’s a gimmick to be advertised as “pod-free”, but fresh ground coffee beans really do taste better.
Some minor negatives:
- While there is a storage place for the coffee scoop, it’s on the opposite side of the brew buttons. This means for how I have it oriented, the scoop is on the back of the machine by the wall.
- I wish there was a bit more separation between the water reservoir and the coffee basket. Twice so far, when removing the basket to clean it, some coffee grounds have fallen into the water reservoir, and I had to take a paper towel to clean them out.
- Brew time is advertised in “under 4 minutes”, which is accurate, but it is quite a bit longer than a Pod system. Making two cups for my wife and I in the morning takes noticeably longer than using a Pod, especially considering cleaning the basket between uses. We might end up switching to a system with a coffee pot, and using this machine mainly for single serve cold coffee.
Overall though, the machine performs as advertised, and I’m impressed with the care put into the design. It looks good, and has a functional place for the coffee scoop. It’s very easy to use, and it makes a great cup of iced or hot coffee. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a good iced coffee maker, or a good single serve coffee machine.

Mr. Coffee Single-Serve Iced and Hot Coffee Maker - Blue and Marble
Mr. Coffee has a fun side. But the fun is built on top of Mr. Coffee’s solid and reliable coffee mechanism which means you will love the hot coffee that this classy looking appliance can make.
OPERATION: For old fashioned brewed HOT coffee, start with the right cup (go big), add your water (under 16oz) into the reservoir, add the recommended coffee scoop into the reusable coffee filter and drop into the brew basket. Everything but the water and coffee is in the box. Press the HOT BREW (upper) button and in a few minutes you’re good-to-go.
For ICED coffee, using the included TUMBLER keeps the measurements simple. Fill the TUMBLER to the marked waterline, and pour into the reservoir. Use the recommended scoops in the reusable coffee filter. Place the now empty tumbler under the spout, but fill it with LARGE ice cubes. Mr. Coffee is still using hot water in this mode, and in order for the ice cubes to survive the cubes need to enter this process while still large.
Mr. Coffee makes a nice cup of coffee. Hot or iced. And it looks good doing it and it's a very compact coffee maker. We're able to modify the flavor intensity by adding more or less coffee grounds. We're also able to forget about those accumulating plastic cups. because none are needed.
Like I noted earlier, this is a fun experience all the way. The coffee is what you’d expect from Mr. Coffee, and the Iced Coffee feature just makes it that much more useful. And it looks good while taking up very little counter space. Readily recommended.

I’ve been using K-cup coffee makers for many years for the convenience of making a quick hot cup of coffee in the morning, but about half the year I need more refreshing ice coffee. The Mr. Coffee Single-Serve Iced and Hot Coffee Maker with Reusable Tumbler and Gold Tone Coffee Filter does both, but I know what I’ll use for the most - iced coffee.
This coffee maker is slim and kind of cute, blue with an imitation marble base. It comes with a measuring scoop that attaches to the left side. The scoop has two compartments, a smaller side for hot coffee and a larger one for iced coffee. The included plastic tumbler has markings to measure the water needed to fill the machine and also markings of how much ice you should use for an ice-cold refreshing coffee. You can brew up to 16oz of hot coffee and up to 22oz of iced coffee. No filters or plastic pods needed, just use your favorite ground coffee with the single-serve reusable metal mesh filter and push either the hot brew or over ice button on the right side of the machine. It takes just under 4 minutes to complete brewing and filling your tumbler or mug. Mr. Coffee cleverly uses a lower temperature to brew for iced coffee, so it does not completely melt your ice and it’s still cool and refreshing. They even include a small booklet with hot and iced coffee recipes which is a nice touch for those who like flavored coffees. Thumbs up all around.

I specifically bought this for ice coffee so I can stop spending a bunch $$$ of at Starbucks all the time and Mr. Coffee Single-Serve does indeed fulfill this goal.
It has a nice modern design that’s easy to clean and comes with everything you need to make good ice coffee, with a plastic reusable cup, top and straw. The unit also comes with a coffee scooper that has measurements for hot or cold sizes, this scooper can be placed inside on the side of the coffee maker itself which is very convenient.
The easy-to-follow instructions will have you enjoying your ice coffee in minutes as it brews quickly. I used Starbucks’s premium Breakfast Bend which tastes just as good as store bought, so I’m happy.

I have owned a couple of K-cup coffee makers and drip coffee makers but never one that combines both!!. I currently have a popular brand K-style coffee maker and am excited to transition to the Nutribullet!
Unboxing & Physical Features:
The Nutribullet comes extremely well packaged with thick boxing and Styrofoam inserts. Whether you are picking this up from the store or having it shipped, you won’t have any issues!
The space saver design is great! A taller and narrower profile is perfect size for my use and space. At its tallest point it is less than 15 inches tall and fits with room to space under my cabinet space which is almost 18 inches.
Setting up:
Set up is simple and intuitive. Being used to my current coffee maker, my only moment of question was when I was looking for a filter and didn’t find one. Looks as if this is not necessary on this unit. I might suggest mentioning that somewhere in the product materials for those of us who are used to that! The manual and additional product materials are all clear and helpful.
Use:
Carafe
There are 3 options: 6 cups, 9 cups or 12 cups. We used the Nutribullet’s filter. We also used the scooper that came with it which has the measurements inscribed on it to match the 3 options of 6 cups, 9 cups or 12 cups. Very cool!
The coffee brewed quickly and quietly and the Nutribullet beeps when brewing is complete! Also, we initially brewed 6 cups and the reservoir was fully filled and it stayed at the proper level with water left over.
The measurement recommendation for the grounds meets my taste and, most importantly… the coffee comes out nice and hot!!
Pod
There are 3 options - 6 oz, 8 oz or 10 oz. We used a standard one-use Pod at 8 oz. Just like the drip brewing, the coffee brewed very quickly and is nice and hot. The temperature seems hotter than my current coffeemaker.

I'll start with I prefer ICED Coffee to Hot Coffee. In fact, I rarely drink Hot Coffee. So I was excited to see Mr Coffee have made a machine that works for Iced Coffee drinkers and those who prefer it hot.
Out of the box, the first thing I noticed is this is not really blue, I would call it more grey-blue. The marble base part is true, but it's not really blue (see my photo). Not a complaint, but feel I should let you know this upfront. That all said, what I did notice was Mr Coffee include an Iced Cofee Tumbler with a straw! Woohoo! This seriously is for us Iced Coffee drinkers.
Using it is straightforward. But TIP, run a hot coffee cycle first through the machine to clean it... OK, now onto your first real cup of joe.
There's a re-usable filter/brew basket, you put in the scoops of coffee grounds, and press (in my case) Cold Brew (see photos, separate buttons for hot and cold). Make sure you fill the tumbler with ice up to the marked line. No, Mr Coffee doesn't make ice you supply your own. The manual recommends 2 scoops of grounds for the 22oz tumbler, but I found 1.5 was more to my taste. So your mileage may vary as you work out the best mix for you.
If you're wondering about the hot vs cold buttons (again, see photo). It seems cold brews a slightly cooler cup of coffee so as to not melt your ice as it pours. Really smart thinking by Mr Coffee.
Size-wise, the unit is 13" tall and 10" deep. An FYI if you're trying to see if it will fit neatly on your counter. It's light, so is easy enough to put out of the way when not in use.
The coffee made by Mr Coffee was great, but as with all coffee machines, it will depend on whether you buy good grounds. I am using Starbucks grounds, but that's a personal thing. I do love that this is NOT a pod machine, I am so over pod machines.
Some tips. The filter and brew basket is dishwasher safe. The included tumbler and straw is not. This is a single-serve unit, so it's really for personal individual use. I would not recommend this for a home with multiple adults who need a caffeine fix each day. Warranty is 1 year, which feels reasonable for the price.
Would I recommend this? Yes, I can see it paying for itself in under a month by cutting down the number of ice coffees I buy each day.

The small footprint doesn't hog up valuable counter top space in the kitchen. The coffee tastes better using the small drip basket and not those wastefull k-cups. I liked it so much I bought a second unit for work. I still haven't made iced coffee yet but it works great for drip coffees.
