Customers are enthusiastic about the Single-Cup Coffeemaker's ease of use and affordability. Many appreciate its performance and convenient water reservoir. However, some wish for more cup size options and find the brew time to be a bit lengthy.

So far this maker has perform great. I just need to see how it is doing in 6
months, if it remains the same I will give it 5 stars for now I give it 4 1/2
as it has not been tested over time.

choices for cup size are 6oz or 10 oz, but I would prefer 8oz - which is a standard size. Machine is a little slow to warm up, but that is because it doesn't keep a constant warm supply like my larger Keurig. The lights let you know it's 'working'. This machine is good for my Senor father who only wants a single cup, not a full pot - and needs ease of operation. I like that it uses the K-cups - making it easy to have some variety. I also like the 24oz reservoir so you don't have to fill the water each cup.

Very Good Alternative to Keurig

This brewer is much quieter than the two Keurigs we have previously owned and the units we have used when visiting other family members with Keurig brewers. The unit vibrates very little when brewing, unlike Keurig brewers which have vibrated two or three mugs off the base when we weren't paying close enough attention -- admittedly, this was a bigger problem for the tall mugs I use which can not sit on the provided base, but which must be placed on the shelf on which the base sits without a lip that might have kept the mugs from vibrating off the unit.
Also, unlike the Keurig 2.0 models, but like the earlier units, any K-Cup may be used. This feature alone was enough for me to justify buying the Mr. Coffee unit over another Keurig unit, though sound, vibration, and the disappointing reliability of the Keurig units we have owned made it an easy choice as well -- too early to judge the reliability of the Mr. Coffee unit, but so far, so good.
On the downside, the unit takes longer to heat the water before beginning to brew and the water reservoir is smaller leading to more frequent refills.
Still, all in all, we are very happy with the Mr. Coffee single-cup coffeemaker.

This unit makes coffee, tea, whatever is in the K-Cup. period. It does it well. No frills, or thrills. We have a unit at work which is the next model up which has a larger reservoir, 6, 8, 10 cup choices, and a water pre-warmer. Without pre-warming the water it takes usually 3 minutes for one brew.
I've tried two different generic cups to use regular ground coffee but they don't quite fit. The top piercing needle JUST nicks the side of the opening on the top. You can force it and it will work, but you take the chance of damaging the piercing needle if you aren't extremely careful. I've read that you can buy an after market cup receptacle but I haven't looked.
I've seen posts about the unit deciding to make 10 or more ounces even when set to 6. I tried duplicating this and succeeded. I have a go cup that doesn't like 16 ounces so I do two 6 ounces. If you do not lift the top piercing cover in-between brews, the next push of the brew button seems to trigger the purge function. If you lift the top section for a couple of seconds in between brews, it works fine.
Overall, good solid coffee maker. The only cons (which are surmountable) are the small reservoir (non-removable), no 8 cup selection. LONG 3 minute brewing time.

This coffee maker is ideal for making just one cup of coffee in the morning using a K-Cup. With a removable, lidded water reservoir large enough to brew several cups (realistically somewhere between 3 and 6, depending on your preferred cup size), you won't need to add water every time you make coffee, which is a plus (as a side note: I find that leaving the reservoir in place and filling it with either a jug or a bottle of water gets the maximum fill with minimum spillage).
Because the machine heats the water on demand only (i.e., once you hit "Brew"), it takes a flat amount of time to make a cup of coffee, no matter how many cups you intend to make. Heating and brewing takes close to a minute, so it's perfect to set this, then start preparing another part of your breakfast. If you had to make more than one cup of coffee back to back in one stiting, this may be prove to be a nuisance. The more cups you need, the better off you are going with a machine that pre-heats water and heats as it brews (or sticking to a regular drip coffee machine).
Large travel size mugs fit just fine when you pull out the drip tray, but I wish there was a setting for making an 8 oz cup of coffee - most of my mugs are just 10 oz, and I want as much coffee as possible with room for cream.
The lack of a fifth star comes from a combination of the fairly long preparation time, a very wide-mouthed water reservoir prone to spilling if filled to the top while inserting and removing, and the lack of a cup size between 6 and 10 oz.

We're not big coffee drinkers in our house, but do enjoy occasional cups of coffee and tea. This fit our needs perfectly. Much less expensive than Keurig and works really well. We have an assortment of Kcups and there's always something to satisfy each of us and any guests. I love that we can just brew one cup at a time. A whole pot would go to waste!

I bought this for weekdays, when I only need to make one cup of coffee. My work has the Keurig Elite, it is great, but almost double this one. The only real advantage is the tank size. You can get 2 or 3 uses out of the Mr. Coffee before you have to fill the tank.
The pull out tray is great too, sometimes I have tall coffee cups, and its nice they fit.
Build quality is good too. Every hinge feels solid, and in fact seem stronger than the Keurig counterparts.
Takes a bit longer to heat up than a Keurig, but not any amount of time where one would consider it an inconvenience.
And last but not least, I can not tell the difference in taste of coffee.
I cant see paying extra for the Keurig, unless you need to serve a lot of people and need the bigger tank.

Purchased this as a gift for my 15 year old daughter who needs caffeine for her long school day. I use this more than she does. It's quick, works as advertised and I purchased it for a price that was a great bargain. I've found that the off-brand cups at ALDI work great with it.

I am super happy with my Mr.Coffee K-Cup machine. I had purchased a Keurig Vue, and was very underwhelmed with its performance. It broke after giving me 8 months of really runny, watery coffee. So I was reluctant to purchase another machine that used single serving cups. A friend suggested I check out the Mr.Coffee brand machines, as she was happy with hers that had lasted 14 months and was still going. I didn't need one that had a huge reservoir, so a single fill machine, like this one was good enough for me... and since I had a gift card for BestBuy, I went ahead and purchased this one; So far, so good! It seems to do a better job injecting the water into the grounds and the coffee hasn't been watery like the keurig brand one was, and it heats up pretty quickly.
The only limitation is it doesn't fit under my counter on top of the K-cup drawer holder I bought, when trying to fill the back tank. Which really- for the performance I've had so far with this machine is really nothing much to gripe about. I just have to move the machine a few inches. I'd totally recommend Mr.Coffee over Keurig, and hopefully this one lasts as long as my friends Mr.Coffee K-cup machine has... even it it breaks down at the 12 month mark- that would be still 4 months longer than keurig, and at a less-expensive price.

The Mr Coffee single cup brewer is great for those that don't drink a lot of coffee. Or for couples/families that prefer different blends/varieties. The only negative I have is the size options. The water reservoir is 24 oz. but the sizes to choose from are 6 and 10. It would have made more sense to have it equally proportioned.

With all the coffee makers available today this one is consistent and reliable. Good directions for use and maintenance, I love my coffee and tea, with the various k-cup packs and filter packs you can make just about any hot beverage and even a few good cold ones.

This machine is easy to use and heats up quickly. The only downside is the water reservoir isn't that big but making two cups of coffee is all I need. I like that you can take the bottom part off so that you can brew the coffee right into a thermos.

You get what you pay for..... It's not a bad coffee maker however comparing it to a Keurig system is out of the question. The water reservoir is small. It takes 3+ minutes to get a coffee due to the design of the warming system.
If you're on a budget this unit is just fine, I was spoiled with a Keurig in the past so I have a bias opinion.

It provides the convenience of a Keurig without the expensive price tag. This one is a better value than the single save serve Keurig because it can make 3 cups in a row without having to refill the reservoir after each cup. I make 2 quick cups in a large 2GO mug and am on my way quickly.

I purchased this as an alternative to a Keurig that developed a leak internally (a known issue apparently) and I have been quite satisfied with the performance and quality. The fit and finish may not quite as nice as the Keurig it replaced but it does it's job just the same and barring any sudden leaks or seems like it will last for a while too. Though the protection plan doesn't hurt, better than dealing with a manufacturer warranty as I learned previously.

If all you're looking for is a K-cup brewer to make an occasional cup of coffee or tea, this is the one. At under $50 it's a terrific choice. Occasional use doesn't require a water tank (water gets stale anyway) so its lack of one isn't an issue. It brews fast, doesn't take up much space, and even can handle the Keurig cartridge for fill-your-own.

I love this little coffee maker. It's definitely a way more affordable option than the standard Keurig (I paid ~$160 for my last one which ended up breaking a year later, anyways,) and best I can tell there's no difference.
I purchased it for my grandma who loves her morning coffee, but never can finish a pot. Add in the Eco refillable cup, and she can easily make just one cup of whatever coffee and wants -prepackaged K cups, or her favorite personal grounds.
If I *had* to comment on something, then I guess the water reservoir could stand to be a little bigger, but we get 3-4 cups, which I think is fair. We refill it about every other day.

This machine is a little slow to heat the water, but it brews a cup just fine. The only drawback I have found is the size of the water reservoir, it holds enough for about 3-4 cups of coffee. This should be plenty for one or two people, but three to four might do better with a larger water reservoir.
