As long as you use good, flavorful and properly ground coffee (that's ANY and ALL coffee makers), you don't need a super fancy machine. Only minor downside is not having an auto-shutoff switch

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a no frills one cup coffee maker. It works quickly and seems to work well. The brew/steam knob and the pressure cap are a bit odd as they're not easy to grip, but you get used to them.

Worked great, then didn't

We used it several times and my wife really liked the Lattes that we made with it. However, after about a dozen uses, it stopped sending the steam/water through the brew basket. We could still get steam from the milk frother, but nothing was coming from the brew side of the machine. It is too late to return to Best Buy, so we will be calling Mr Coffee to try to get this resolved.

My first espresso machine!

This one was affordable and by a known brand, so we settled on it and never looked back!
