For the price a very good gaming machine, I’ve read the reviews and while assembly seems to be a issue at times I have a flawless machine. Only problem is I had to do some tweaking on the mystic lights to get them working otherwise it would be 5 stars. Highly recommend this machine just have it checked to ensure no hiccups

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT !!! buy this computer UNLESS you want to spend $350 or more on a bigger radiator, more fans, better pump, mother board. This machine is perfect for heating up your food if you do not have a microwave, unless you get the items listed above. That is what I had to do just to play Call of Duty Warzone. I was reaching 92-99 degrees Celsius while playing 15 -30 min. I called MSI up and MSI customer support does not know jack so I would not waste my time talking to them. I read all the positive and negative reviews after I bought this computer the only positive, I have to say about this computer is the graphics card that is all. You are better off building your own it will be a whole lot cheaper and worth it trust me despite all the other reviews.

So first off I don’t know much about PC’s beyond specs. That being said I can spot something out of place on the rig (as most people can). I took this computer home hooked it up and it was running 50-60 degrees Celsius with no load on it. I thought was strange but figured maybe it just runs a little warm and would install the extra Corsair fan I bought with it. I ran warzone on low settings locked at 150FPS and the cpu reaches heats upwards of 90 Celsius. I was shocked so I opened up the computer removed the cooler from the cpu to inspect the thermal paste. Looked fine so I reinstalled turned the fan settings off auto onto 50% to see if any changes (none). I then installed the Corsair fan on top to dissipate some heat out from the cpu and still nothing isles at slightly less 45-55 but still runs very hot when gaming on low settings even though the MSI website specifically says it’s stays well below recommended cpu temps. I am distraught and would not recommend this to anyone. Please do not buy this PC unless you want to spend another $200 upgrading the cooling system with a better AIO and all the stock MSI fans. But honestly for the money the IBUYPOWER HAS MUCH BETTER REVIEWS AND THE MOTHERBOARD CAN HANDLE MORE THAN 2600MHZ RAM. IT CAN DO I BELIVE UP TO 4300MHZ FAR BETTER DEAL IMO. Hope this helped someone out.

Everything was hitting reds on the hardware monitor after playing COD Warzone for about an hour. Similar reviews on this site and online forums - this desktop appears to need a better AIO cooler. Will return today.

Computer seemed to work ok for the first few weeks, then it started getting slow with occasional glitches. It was still usable, but the glitches got worse over time. Finally in the last few weeks it has been ungodly slow and was driving me nuts. I waited until the warranty expired (so as to not void it) which I saw was last month, then I decided to pull off a few parts to see why it kept overheating. SHOCKED!! Whoever built the system didn't even pull the sticker off the bottom of the cpu cooler! And this is not a thin sticker, it is like a patch for a rubber raft or air mattress! Never saw that before, I'm surprised it even ran at all. New thermal paste and new cooler doesn't stop it from overheating. Cooked CPU??Called MSI and of course it's out of warranty and I'll probably have to pay to fix whatever got damaged even because of their screw up. I included pictures of when I removed the cooler. Never buying an MSI product again.

This is a REALLY Good system that was on the verge of being a GREAT system out of the box if MSI would have just spent a little more time and effort. Great cable management, 4 mounting locations for 2.5 inch laptop SSD's, 2 3.5 inch bays, 6 available sata ports, 4 DIMM slots, great power supply. Where is falls down in cooling. You see that is a common thread in reviews. The situation can be improved out of the box with some system changes in the BIOS settings that seem to be inexplicable wrong. If that doesn't get you where you want to be, can fix the rest of the issue with a $30 fan upgrade which I agreed....You shouldn't have to do. First is the BIOS. All the fans are intelligence controlled by the BIOS. For some reason much of that is disabled out of the box. CPU 1 == CPU Fan on the water cooler, Sys Fan 3 is bottom front fan, Sys Fan 4 is the middle front, and Sys Fan5 is the top front. Sys Fan 1 is the water cooler pump. Why is this not connected to Pump? If you go into the BIOS, I can't tell you exactly what you will find as two of these boxes had totally different settings in the BIOS. If you go into easy mode, then go to fans. Look at the fan settings. Make sure CPU 1 is set to Smart mode, which temperature monitoring on the CPU. That way the CPU fan will speed up automatically when CPU heats up. On my system Smart was off, so CPU cooling fan didn't scale with heat. Next look at Sys Fan 1, which is really the water cooler pump. Why not connected to PUMP header, not sure. Check to see if the smart is turned on. On my system it was turned off, which means the CPU water pump ran at 7.2 volts at 2/3 of top speed. Setting this to Smart Fan Mode with Temperature Source as CPU will have pump speed scale with the CPU temp. Check the settings for the other system fans. If they are set with Smart Fan Mode as off you might want to turn at least one fan to Smart Fan Mode ON with the Temperature source monitoring set to system. That way when video card heats up the inside of case the fan speed will scale to increase airflow into the case. This seems to solve most problems with video card overheating as internal case temps were getting high but case fans by default weren't scaling automatically to address this. So getting your BIOS settings set so water cooler pump actually goes to full speed when needed, and getting the other fans set to ramp up as needed will solve 90% of the problem. After those changes was able to run FurMarks CPU stress test and it took a long time before CPU hit the 80C mark. And haven't had issues in most games. So simple BIOS tweaks from he factory would have made everyone life easier. But it doesn't get you 100% there. Unfortunately CPU cooling cana't be 100% fixed with BIOS tweaks. Primarily due to the fan MSI put on the water cooler. The fax maxes out at 1400rpm and is a MSI 12V 12025L Led fan. Which is way to low of a CFM fan to cool the water cooler when the CPU is running all cores at max speed for long periods of time and eventually you overhead and hit the temperature throttle. It just doesn't move enough CFM to cool the water cooler. The cooler is perfectly capable of cooling the CPU under high load with the right fan, which MSI didn't include. The ultimate fix can be done for around $30 . From best buy you can pick up the Corsair ML120 PRO LED 120mm fan (SKU 5845209) from best buy. It goes up to 2400RPM and can move up to 75CFM. Using the same FurMark CPU Stress program I was able to run the test, which Smart Fan settings on in BIOS, and temp never got over 65c on the CPU core. By tweaking the SmartFan Curve in the bios you can have the pump ramp up faster than the fan, and get the CPU even cooler than that. Is the system cooling out of the box sub-optimal, YES. Is it fast and capable machine that can easily be upgrade and grow with you in the future, IMHO - YES. Would I by again - YES. Should you have to fix this yourself, NO. But all the issues could easily be fixed by MSI, if they put in the effort. But if you have to, not hard to fix yourself.

Ordered this gaming rig thinking MSI was known for being quality product. After I got the pc all hooked up I played my favorite AAA game and crash... Hard crashing every time I would play for more than 30 minutes. Thermals are on the rough side as well. GPU temp was an average 80c playing Modern Warfare. Overall disappointed with the product will be returning tomorrow.

This PC is great and super powerful! Everything is good and can handle several games at 200 FPS easily. Only bad things were 1. Loud after super quality setting for some games 2. An RGB fan was disconnected but easy to reconnect 3. loose zip-ties were in the case. 4. The glass panel is incredibly tinted not showing the RGB like in the photos. 5. Outdated dragon center 6. don't be fooled by the 1799$. After-tax and shipping it was 1925$ 7. gets hot if you have a session for more than 3 hours. The weird thing I noticed was the THUMB SCREWS the held the glass panel got hot after 3-4 hours of gameplay. Pros were 1. mostly quiet 2. cables were managed great 3. easy setup

received a broken rear base. Could Bestbuy please contact MSI to send replacement ?

I'm not new to PC gaming but I'm new to PC building and I thought a pre-built would save some money, give me a good intro into PCs and probably most importantly, be in stock. As of the 5/2/20 purchase date, parts are really hard to find, are expensive and shipping is slow and unpredictable. I went with MSI over other brands because they're established and their support is actually pretty good. I got a human on the phone in under 10 minutes. The price of this machine dropped to under $1600 which is probably where it should be. An i7-9700kf and the RTX2080 Super is an amazing combo. The 1TB SSD is big enough to start and I didn't need to pay for extra storage I wasn't going to use. The Good: Powerful components under $2k that lets me crush 1440p at well over 60fps. I'm running most games on ultra at around 100-120fps. The 2080 super is also good enough for 4k but at the reduced fps I wouldn't recommend it. Large case and full size ATX mobo means plenty of upgrade potential. Performance out of the box is excellent and I don't anticipate needing performance upgrades anytime soon. The Bad: Some of this could be because I'm a n00b but I think MSI overlooked some pretty serious aspects of this machine. First, the cooling is awful. Many, many people are reporting high temperatures that even MSI techs said were high. The CPU cooler provided is tiny and not powerful enough to keep up with a 2080 and an i7. Even after adjusting fan curves (which were set to like 50% by default) the CPU and GPU routinely hit 85c after only an hour of gaming. Second, the motherboard is on the lower end compared to the rest of the machine. Without integrated wifi and bluetooth, the wifi card takes up a valuable USB port on your mobo so you only get 1 more USB2.0 header. Finally, the RGB isn't really RGB. It's controlled using preset lighting configurations which are only changed through a button on top of the case. There's a bunch of options but no custom lighting is available. To fix the garbage cooling, I had to buy a $170 AIO (a little unnecessary but RGB) and I'm replacing all the stock fans with Corsairs. This is probably overkill but installing the new AIO alone dropped my temps below 65 at pretty much all times. However, I am suspicious that the stock cooler could be mounted to the top of the case and all you'll need is a new exhaust fan. That might solve the issue or at least get you under 80c which is good, not great. Had Best Buy not price matched my purchase and offset the cost of the additional parts I had to buy, I likely would have returned this and built my own PC. With the amount of research I've done to get this right, I could have built my own. If you're looking for a solid gaming pc that doesn't require much post-purchase work, I wouldn't recommend this device. Or maybe I wouldn't recommend PC gaming. If you want a good base and don't mind rolling up your sleeves, I think this was a pretty good value for the performance. However, you'll need to buy a new CPU cooler or you'll severely reduce the lifespan of both the CPU and GPU.

Solid machine. No issues out of the box, cable management was great, zero bloatware, the only issue I noticed is the AIO pump for the water cooler was plugged into system fan 2, instead of the PUMP FAN header on the motherboard, also if you purchase this I highly recommended adding 3 exhaust fans and mounting them at the top of the case which is what I did, originally my gpu temps would reach 80c, after adding the fans my gpu temps are in the 60s, this build comes with 3 intake fans at the front and only one exhaust fan at the back which is also the fan for the radiator, adding 3 exhaust fans at the top of the case greatly improved temps and airflow. After a few minor tweaks this machine runs great. I recommended it.

Hooked this up, and was pleasantly suprised. There is almost no bloatware, and windows updates finished in half an hour. Gaming is great, but the cooling is atrocious. CPU runs around 90c under heavy load, and GPU runs around 85c under heavy gaming load. Had to go into the bios and set a much more aggressive fan curve, but even still there is definitely not enough cooling capacity. Will probably swap out the AIO for a 240 and add another exhaust fan as there is only one out of the box. Normally i'd build a PC myself, but acquiring parts during these crazy times is both expensive and difficult. Overall i'd say this is a really good value for the money, but would definitely tweak the cooling solutions.

If you have read any other reviews for this desktop you know that it can definitely get hot. I purchased this PC and followed the advice of many others exploring options to improve the temps of both the CPU and GPU and I can report good results. After I bought this PC I had one of my buddies who is very skilled with all things computer help me remove the cooler from the CPU and re-apply fresh thermal paste. This alone was enough to get my CPU temps down from the high 70's and 80's to the 60's and low 70's on high load. Still I was seeking better temps so we installed 2 case fans to the top of the PC to help exhaust the hot air better as the stock PC's only exhaust is the radiator on the back. After doing both of these things I am loving this PC, performance is amazing and such a good deal for a 2080 Super GPU and all other parts included. A couple other things to mention would be to uninstall the awful outdated Dragon Center software and get something better to monitor your temps with like NZXT, the RGB on the case is controlled entirely by the button the top of the case you do not need the mystic light software. After uninstalling Dragon Center be sure to go to your BIOS settings and enable smart fan mode for each of your fans, this also played a role in improving my temps. This PC is definitely an amazing product but be ready to do a few improvements before enjoying it fully. The provided mouse and keyboard are nice and match the RGB on the case to give your setup a nice look once everything is complete. I highly recommend picking this up if you're in the market for a new pre-built, but be sure you know what you are doing with the hardware or have a friend that can walk you through what should be done. I hope this review can help others decide if this is the right PC for them.

A really solid semi premium build for those looking to get into high end gaming for 1440 or 4k. I am personally using this system on an MSI Optix 3440x1440p Ultrawide monitor @ 120hz. Everything I have tested on it so far has performed well under load. Multitasking is a dream as you can jump in and out of games and programs with ease thanks to the quick and snappy 1TB SSD. People looking to get more out of their games will be happy to know that Nvidia has a slew of features built into the Geforce Experience and RTX features, like extra features for their games in terms of graphical fidelity with raytracing and DLSS 2.0 features where they are supported. Also Shadowplay which is a fantastic built in video capture program, and one of the best I have ever used for game and desktop recording. So while I am giving this 5 stars, it is actually close to 4.5. I don't think it would be fair to give it a straight 4 though, and am just averaging it out. I do have a few small nitpicks for this system. For starters, I am not a fan of the case design or the RGB. I will say for a system that offers RGB, this is just a boring layout. It lacks that oomph that you see in some other systems. I also wish they had moved the usb type C to the front of the case rather than have it tucked away in the rear. The rear connections have more of a permanent fixture, where the front connections are supposed to be more for quick in and out, and I feel a type C connection would be better suited in the front as a result of this. That said, this is a fine system. Setup was a breeze. Drivers installed without fail. Once everything was updated, I tested out some games, and they ran like a champ. The system boots up within seconds, and games run like butter. The system runs extremely quiet also.

The quality of the PC is decent. The side panel is made of actual glass and the entire PC is pretty heavy (over 25 lbs). You will need to be careful if you need to move your PC. Didn't do thorough research on all the individual components in the PC, but they all work great, except the cooling. Performance-wise, had the PC for over two weeks and it plays Call of Duty Warzone, Dota 2, LoL, and other games very well. Haven't had any problem with frame rates (over 120 fps on CoD Warzone at Max settings) or graphics/textures. The biggest issue I've discovered is the cooling. Like other reviewers had said, cooling isn't very good. CPU was hitting 100C while playing CoD Warzone, which is ridiculously hot for only an hour or two of playtime. I've switched out the default CPU thermal paste for Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut and that helped reduced the normal CPU temperature (when not gaming) by a few degrees C. Then went into the BIOS and reconfigured the fan curves, which also helped, but was still getting 100C on CPU while gaming. Was considering getting an AIO liquid cooling solution, but then discovered the MSI Dragon Center software was probably the main issue. The MSI Dragon Center software is terrible unless you adjust it. There's an Extreme Performance profile that it automatically switches if you are gaming and will max out your hardware specs and override your fan curves. Now after making a custom profile, I'm getting 70C and under while gaming on CoD Warzone for several hours with the stock liquid cooler. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the purchase, but didn't wish I had to investigate so much into cooling solution for this PC. If you are looking for a prebuilt PC and don't have time to custom build (especially with the high prices right now) then I recommend taking a look at this PC. Just keep in mind you might need to do some tinkering for the cooling.

I bought this pc out of the others because this one had the 2080 super and the 1tb SSD for the budget I was on.. I was worried since this was my first pc but it turned out to be a good experience. The box came it good condition didn’t look mistreated. It does get hot but I have done some test and they seem to be normal under the loads. !!If anyone could leave some comments on making sure it’s getting proper cooling please do!! Running DOOM Eternal on ULTRA NIGHTMARE graphics and cpu and memory have tons of room to spare..

Long review but I bought this prebuilt for my kids first rig to run warzone and fortnite. Can’t complain about the quality of this prebuilt for its intended purpose, definitely overkill for fortnite, handles warzone while streaming rather reasonably. Opened the box, did the usual initial inspection for broken or disconnected clips/tabs etc. nothing missing/broken/disconnected. Fired it up, Went into bios no problems. Booted to windows without a hiccup. I’m not sure why the reviews are saying temps are a problem. Idle temps are 34-36°c. Mind you I ran this during our summer with an ambient room temperature of 82°f and no air conditioning to get an idea of how hot the cpu/gpu temps can really get. Althought some things I did do that I felt would increase the flow and decrease temps was relocate the aio radiator to the top of the case, remove the front and top case covers since they seem to really restrict the flow. First gameplay fortnite on maxed settings, of course for this game was still hitting max frames, and temps were steady around 63°c with a max 69°c at one point Now Warzone while streaming was a bit of a different story. Every single setting maxed, ray tracing, 1440, tessellation, etc. was able to average around 83-90 fps. Drop down to 1080 with everything else maxed no sweat hitting 105-120 fps. Temps were somewhat toasty with all that going on though, 74-79°c steady in that same same 82°f environment. That warm and toasty Intel feeling haha. For the purpose of this prebuilt, I’m definitely satisfied. Yes I could have built something with a better motherboard to handle xzy, and spec this part out better, and that part could have been better, etc etc etc but I didn’t do that and went with a cheap prebuilt that I bought for a kid that does some basic gaming/streaming. All the negative reviews need to manage their expectations in buying a prebuilt. If you want better parts/specs, diy is the best and only route to truly achieve what you’re looking for in a rig for gaming/developing etc. It’s a prebuilt, it’s not going to come with top tier parts, and most parts aren’t even going to be mid tier.

Oh Man, what is there not to say?!?!!! I love this desktop. It’s QUIET.... I mean literally quiet!!! It’s fast, smooth, and overall the best electronic I have in my house. It doesn’t gather dust quickly, I deep clean my house once a week and use can of air on everything electronic and I never need to with this desktop. I have bought a few desktops and laptops, even made my own. This is by far... the... absolute... best!! Did I say it’s quiet?? The power up??? 4 seconds!

CONS: 1. Order did not arrive at store on time (or at least I wasn't notified) 2. After setting everything up, I go to plug in the power cord, only to realize I was given a laptop cord (the cord w/o the brick). After making the trip to get a new cord (Best Buy was very good at helping me with this issue as MSI shipped the wrong cord) I was finally able to turn it on. 3. The left mouse button jams in. I had to temp fix it by placing a cut of a toothpick under the button by the wheel so that the button doesn't stay jammed down. (I've since ordered the Logitech - G502 HERO which is arriving tomorrow. After finally getting the PC set up and turned on, minus the previously listed issues, the computer works great. The Dragon center that is installed is horribly out of date, so make sure you go to MSI's website and get the newest version. it drastically changes how you can control everything. Temperature under a decent stress has gone up to about 73C. The computer runs fast, is very responsive, and is quick with task management. The RGB management for they keyboard is easy to use and very modifiable. The fans stay a single solid color and do not rotate through. The glass panel is not as opaque as other posts led me to believe. It does have a decent tinting, but I can still see everything inside easily. I also placed in my own RAM with RGB, so that might add to the brightness inside, but not by much. Overall, I am glad I purchased this after returning the CyberPower desktop I previously had. I will update this once I get more time with the computer and stress it more.

Overall happy with the build quality and performance of this PC. Runs fast and quiet, even under gaming loads. Driving three monitors at 5760 x 1080 resolution and the video card fans spin up, but not overly loud. CPU has kept temp well so far with the liquid cooler. No complaints, nice that MSI does not load a lot of "crapware" so the Windows installation is quite clean with only their driver / software management tool installed.
