This is an amazing system if you are looking for a laptop which would offer balance between portability and extreme performance. All these by offering best in class features and execution.
After a terrible experience with Razer, I decided to sell my previous Razer 15 Advance and move on to MSI. I just can't be happier. I haven't had the previous Raider iterations, so I can't comment on that, but this one is a clear winner in my book. This machine is great for hardcore development and gaming. I just finished an hour session of CoD Cold War - the entire time, the CPU hovered between 77-80 degrees while gaming without vsync at more than 100 FPS. All that with barely any noise. I am absolutely blown away.
I like the Dragon Center app, clearly MSI puts big bucks in its software. As a mostly home user, I am able to regulate how much the battery is to be charged to prolonged its life. Temps on idle are in between 45-50 degrees; in 'Balanced' power mode, the machine is a absolutely silent.
My recommendation is go for it, you can't go wrong with this model.

Amazing laptop, way better than my previous Razer Blade 15. The performance is amazing, you get great thermal performance, a good keyboard, and awesome RBG. The battery is okay as well, given the powerful components in the device.
The main complaints I have (and I would rate this device 4.5 stars if I could because of it) are related to the software. For whatever reason, I had to uninstall the realtek sound drivers just to have my microphone for the device working properly. Also, sometimes when booting the laptop, the function row doesn't light up when pressing the function key.
Other than that, I've had no complaints. Great value compared to the Razer Blade.

I bought a Dell with a 2070 in it and it was absolute trash. Kept blue screening with memory problems and would overheat to the point of throttling to less than 10 fps.
Took it back and picked up this MSI, making it my second MSI laptop in a row, and this thing is a beast. No major heating issues and it has mowed over everything that I have thrown at it so far. I wish that a 17 inch had been available, but I keep it hooked up to a 4k TV most of the time, so that's not a huge deal.
This thing keeps it up and I won't be venturing away from MSI in the future.

This is a great laptop. It has a Max p gpu 8 core 16 thread cpu and stays cool. With a cooling pad I never get above 72 on cpu or gpu. If you spend another 300$ the next best bet is the Lenovo legion 5 because you get the amd processor and the muck switch and the qhd screen with 500 nits brightness but besides that asus has no muck switch mech 3 thermal throttles the razer and Alienware same level laptop is more expensive with less ram and storage. Laptop feels premium has great rgb plays games great it’s just too bad we are at a point where 1080p gaming the cpu throttle the gpu out of the box so you don’t get full gpu utilization regardless of amd or intel. Hard to find the good laptops with power not sold out. 16 tflops 32 gb ram you can actually upgrade unlike the competitors and dragon center which is actually really good. Enjoy

Had this laptop about 2 weeks now. Works great for VR. Tried Quest 2, Oculus Rift s, HP Reverb G2. All VR headsets worked flawlessly. Regular gaming also looks great. Definitely would recommend.

The GE66 Raider is an excellent laptop. This laptop offers great performance for its price especially against other competitors. The updated dragon center software is easy to use and awesome to customize with the settings to your liking. Honestly would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a great all around laptop for gaming, video editing, and office/school use.

I bought this for my son for his 18th birthday. It is everything he was looking for. Its very powerful, he is running it on a Samsung G9 curved ultra wide monitor on ultra and it’s beautiful! So Smooth! It is small and thin enough that he can transport it without much issue.

I have only had this a couple days but it is a powerhouse. Feels as fast as my new desktop. Been a long time macbook pro use and wanted to switch to run Blender and game. This is a great option. I picked this one since it has what would be considered Max P GPU. I love the RGB. Wish a little lighter but in order to get better cooling and Power ends up being a little thicker, but still not too bad. Love the keyboard, types great. Has a Mux switch so you can turn off inter GPU also. I looked forward to using this over the new few years.

Good system, performs adequately. The fans are a little bit loud, but it's a small price to pay for the excellent cooling. I'm looking forward to further usage.
