I've looked at comparable machines with gaming graphics for 1st person shooters, MMO's, simulator, strategy, hunting games, and even some old 1990 games. The RAM qualifications, processor and LAN/WLAN speed, power boost, aggressive keyboard function with back lit keys, screen quality and sound quality meet or exceeded some of my other favorite gaming brands. MCI's Apache GE72 came right out of the box with what I needed. The details in this lap top are covered at their home website under specs. I encourage you to visit it and compare it to other machines. I didn't want a machine that will over budget myself to where I'd lose money in 5-8 years. I wanted a portable machine that would do work and handle the newst gaming demands with little or no loss of graphhics and speed compared to those of a desk top and would retain its powersupply for more than 4 hours. I feel a notebook should be portable, economic, functional, efficient, sleek, easy to use, and classy. This one fits the all the roles and a few I didn't have before such as durable and streamlined for comfort. In some aspects I like it better than my desktop. I made a good purchase. Remember; back up, register your rig, and update all your drivers just like any computer before use. This will greatly reduce any frustration and wasted time on phone calls. MCI offers their updates at their website with the exception of graphics card driver updates. Use their web site. I hope this review helps you find, at the very least, a standard to build a purchase from whatever lap top makes you happy. .

Works well and exceeds my expectations in all forms. The pc is quiet has a great design for overall airflow and extremely light for a 17 inch laptop. The casing of the pc is beautiful with a semi gloss satin look to it. It boots up quickly loads everything instantaneously. It handles my pc games with no issues. The battery life is pretty good given the high specs of the laptop. I get around 4 to 5 hours out of it with constant use. The illuminated keyboard is well designed and just the right amount of brightness if you have to work in the dark. I highly recommend this pc. Not much out there for this price in a 17 inch laptop with these kind of specs and great warranty. The laptop came with a 27 month warranty which is pretty good for a gaming pc. If you are looking for a strong pc and your budget is about 1400 (with tax) then this is the pc for you.

Plays Far Cry 4 on ULTRA setting with zero issues. That is all you need to know. I use this for graphic design and gaming. I have not ran across a game yet that gave this computer any issues and with Adobe programs it works at lightning speed. Can't go wrong with MSI. Very well built has some nice cosmetic features that make it stand out.

Bought this for my son for college and he wanted something he could game on. It set right up with no issues and is fast. Games like WOW and DOTA2 play fine.

This laptop was less of a choice than a necessity for me as I needed it to complete a computer engineering course. The power and speed of the i7 easily beats my desktop CPU from 2 years ago (i5 -3570k). The GPU is all right for moderate gaming if that's your route. The power saving options on this laptop are numerous, but for the few weeks I've had it, it discharges quickly if you do anything. 2 hours is a good guess for how long it will last. At least it charges really fast. Accessories are limited, just a power cable, protective sleeve for shipping... While we're on the topic of shipping, there really isn't much in the way of 'protection' from large drops. The best thing about the packing is the fact the laptop is practically incapable of moving a single millimeter. The boxes fit together perfectly and surround the laptop in a decent cocoon of colored cardboard. Got it to me in one piece, granted the local UPS is fantastic. Now, onto the looks. Two words: Brushed Aluminum... It's a love it or hate it thing. I think it's fantastic, when I keep it perfectly clean anyway. The backlight in the keyboard is very bright and nice looking except for the extreme amount of light leaking around the bottom of each key. Red accents and blue lights look okay together, but one or the other color would've made me happier. The screen is very clear from most angles and is very crisp. There is a very nice anti-glare layer over the screen so outdoor use is acceptable. Audio experience is nothing short of amazing with this laptop. The laptop features a sub-woofer and multiple speakers. It plays music from almost every genre like it was engineered specifically for it. It even features a mode that detects the music and flashes the keyboard lights in time with the beat (ish.) TL;DR: Fantastic laptop, Well rounded with aggressive angles and power!

I think it is a great lap top. I did a lot of research before I purchased something, and this was the best bang for your buck. Anything with similar stats would be much more expensive in any other brand. Because I never heard of MSi before, I was apprehensive. However since receiving the lap top, I have had minimal issues because of this: There really isnt anything wrong with the lap top, however some of the programs that come on the lap top conflict with the progams that I use on a day to day basis. I am not a gamer by any means, but I do use Microsoft Publisher, word, excel, and chrome with multiple tabs, plus several files open at the same time, while also streaming pandora, and possibly surfing facebook at the same time too.... So it works great for all of that, however I had to remove several of the "featured programs" that came preloaded on the lap top in order to "maximize performance for gaming". After I cleaned up the programs, and only kept the ones I needed, Publisher and chrome quit crashing. The keyboard being back lit is nice. I have had several lap tops, and the keyboard on this one feels solid, and the keys spring back nicely like an old plug in keyboard. The steel series engine program that you can use to change the colors of the keyboard was one of the programs i nixed, and now my keyboard is red all the time, and I am on with that. I highly recommend the solid state drive- this lap top turns on from a full shut down in about 7 seconds, and then you are in chrome up and running in under 10 seconds. So it is perfect if you need to get onto your lap top quickly at any time when you get a call for business reasons. I am not a gamer, but I need the performance of a gaming lap top, I needed a lap top that could keep up with me, and this one does that, unlike any lap top I have ever had.
